Matt Crafton wins the 18th Annual WinStar World Casino 400, his fifth victory in 322 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races.

This is the No. 88 Toyota Tundra driver's second victory (Martinsville) and fourth top-10 finish in 2014. This is his first victory and 16th top-10 finish in 27 races at Texas Motor Speedway. He has three runner-up finishes at the track. Crafton's margin of victory (13.302 seconds) is a new series track record at Texas. Crafton leads the point standings by 11 points over Johnny Sauter.

Alex Tagliani (#18 Epipen/Riobel/ComplexeJCP/Juste du Pin/Cantorque Chevrolet) finished third in Friday night's NASCAR Pinty's Series (NPS) CRS Express 300 at Autodrome Chaudiere in Vallee-Jonction, Quebec.

He started fourth in the lineup and completed all laps of the 300-lap event. Tagliani, who competed in two of the three series races so far this season season, is currently 10th in the 2016 NPS championship standings.

Kyle Busch finished seventh in the Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway to extend his current top-10 streak on road courses to three consecutive. Last year he swept the top two positions on twisty tracks.

This may seem like a modest achievement, but it is the first time since 2008 that Busch was able to finish well in three consecutive events. His performance before last year on this track type was erratic for a time and now fantasy owners will be able to trust him a little more at Watkins Glen.

Kurt Busch scored his 10th consecutive top-10 of 2016 at Sonoma Raceway in the Toyota / Save Mart 350, but just barely so. He finished the race 10th after starting fourth. That was the second straight race in which he finished 10th after also fairing that well at Michigan International Speedway.

Busch was widely regarded as one of the favorites to win at Sonoma, however, so a result of 10th was a little bit of a disappointment for fantasy owners. If he survives the wild card race at Daytona International Speedway, he should control his fate for a while on unrestricted, intermediate speedways.
Jun 26 - 8:22 PM

Kasey Kahne finished ninth in the Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway, which was his fourth consecutive top-10 on this track.

File that result away for next year, but do not let it affect your pick at Watkins Glen International. Kahne has never cracked the top 10 on that track in 12 starts. His best result on NASCAR’s other road course was a 12th.

Ryan Newman is a bulldog on every track type, but that is not always beneficial on road courses where finesse is a more desirable trait. Still, he finished eighth in the Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway, which is his seventh top-15 in his past eight races on this track type.

Newman has been one of the best picks most weekends as a way to extend one’s salary cap in the mid-range. He is reliable and modestly priced, which makes him a great value.
Jun 26 - 8:20 PM

Kevin Harvick stumbled in qualification for the Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma and rolled off the grid deep in the field. He advanced to sixth at the end of the race from 25th, however, and added 19 place-differential points and three laps led to his fantasy total.

Harvick is one of the most expensive drivers in the game, but he came close to being a good value with these add-ons. Next week features another wild card race, but Harvick will be predictably strong at Kentucky Speedway.

Chase Briscoe got the best of Dalton Sargeant on the final restart inside of 30 laps to go, then drove away to win the Herr’s Potato Chips 200 Sunday afternoon at Winchester Speedway.

It was Briscoe's career-first ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards victory in his 12th series start. Debris on the frontstretch brought out the final caution and set up the final restart coming to the 177th lap. Briscoe, in the No. 77 Big Tine-Cunningham Motorsports Ford, went side-by-side with Sargeant for a full three laps before pushing his car ahead of Sargeant’s No. 55 TRD-Windows 10 Toyota. Sargeant fell back 10 lengths at the checkered flag, finishing second.

After sweeping those positions in 2013, Martin Truex Jr. failed to finish in the top five in his last four road course races until this weekend. He finished fifth in the Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma to get back into championship form.

For a while, Truex seemed like the driver most likely to challenge for the lead. He faded near the end of the race, but still managed to finish among the leaders.
Jun 26 - 7:47 PM

Carl Edwards dominated early in the Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway, but was caught in traffic with the wrong pit strategy at the end of the race. He rallied to finish fourth after leading the field to green and leading 24 laps in the opening stages.

Edwards now has five top-fives and another top-10 in the past seven road course races. He will be highly valued this August as he tries to keep this trend alive at Watkins Glen International.
Jun 26 - 6:55 PM

Joey Logano finished third in the Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway to score his fourth consecutive top-six finish on road courses. This was his third straight top-five.

Logano is becoming one of the go-to drivers on road courses and when he misses lately it is not by much. Since joining Penske Racing, his worst effort on this course type was a 16th at Sonoma in 2014.
Jun 26 - 6:32 PM

Denny Hamlin passed Tony Stewart on the final lap, but could not hang on through the final corner. He over drove Turn 11 and was passed by Tony Stewart within sight of the checkers, but he matched his career-best road course effort. Hamlin finished second at Watkins Glen International in 2007; he matched that with a second in the Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway.

Hamlin was highly undervalued because he had not finished in the top 10 on this track type since 2009. His faithful fans were likely the only ones who benefited from his run and he will be on fantasy owners’ radar screens in August. It is difficult to predict lightning will strike twice, though.
