Harrison Burton entered Sunday night's NASCAR K&N Pro Series-East (NKNPSE) season-opening Jet Tools 150 at Florida's New Smyrna Int'l Speedway as one of the favorites for the 2017 NKNPSE championship.

He won his second career 21 Means 21 Pole Award Presented by Coors Brewing Company at New Smyrna. After leading the field to green, he raced inside the top-five the entire night with a car that was good on long run. Burton survived multiple late-race cautions to score a fourth-place finish in his No. 12 DEX Imaging Toyota Camry.

Cody Coughlin (No. 13 RIDE TV Toyota Tundra) has made 12 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) starts since 2015, including one start at Daytona Int'l Speedway.

Matt Crafton (No. 88 Goof Off/Menards Toyota Tundra) has more starts (16), has completed more laps (1507), has the most top-10 finishes (7), and has the most lead lap finishes (9) than any other driver in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) at Daytona Int'l Speedway.

The two-time champion is still looking for his first win at the 2.5-mile superspeedway. In 16 starts since 2001, Crafton has led seven laps en route to one top-five and seven top-10 finishes, with a track-best start of second (2009), and a track-best finish of fifth (2010).-ThorSport Racing

NASCAR veteran Casey Mears and sponsor GEICO will partner with Biagi-DenBeste Racing for 12 races in the 2017 NASCAR XFINITY Series season.

Mears will pilot the #98 GEICO Military Ford Mustang, which will pay tribute to our nation's military and its service members. This partnership reunites a sponsor and team who previously experienced success together in the XFINITY Series from 2002 to 2006, where Biagi-DenBeste Racing handed GEICO their first NASCAR win on July 2, 2004, at the Winn-Dixie 250 at Daytona International Speedway. 11-years later, they are back together and looking to achieve similar results with Mears behind the wheel, beginning in Fontana, CA, on March 26th.-Player Management International

David Starr will join forces with BJ McLeod Motorsports for the NASCAR XFINITY Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway on February 25th piloting the No. 99 Chevrolet Camaro.

A year after coming up just short at New Smyrna Speedway, Ronnie Bassett Jr. walked away with the Jet Tools 150 Sunday night for his first career NASCAR K&N Pro Series East victory.

In his 40th career start, Bassett led the final 42 laps – the first laps he’s led in the series – and out-distanced runner-up Zane Smith by 3.563 seconds. Bassett started seventh and by Lap 108 had moved the No. 04 Bassett Gutters and More Ford to the front. He used a strong restart to pass his brother Dillon Bassett for the race lead.

Harrison Burton (No. 12 Dex Imaging Toyota)) logged a qualifying lap of 94.179 mph to start on the pole for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season-opening Jet Tools 150 at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, FL.

No. 96 Spencer Davis (93.918 mph), No. 44 Dillon Bassett (93.831), No. 40 Sheldon Creed (93.628) and No. 16 Todd Gilliland (93.441) start second through five. Derek Kraus, Ronnie Bassett Jr., Tyler Dippel, Chase Cabre and Reid Wilson round out the top 10 in the lineup for tonight's race.

Tyler Dippel (No. 30 Tycar Ford) was at the top of the speed chart in the final practice leading to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series season-opening Jet Tools 150 at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, FL.

He put up a 93.669 mph lap in the final practice. No. 12 Harrison Burton, No. 16 Todd Gilliland, No. 99 Derek Kraus and No. 04 Ronnie Bassett Jr. are the rest of the top five and No. 36 Jesse Iwuji was the slowest of the 27 cars completing laps in this final session.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. clocked in 2/100ths of a second slower than teammate Chase Elliott and will line up on the outside of the front row for next Sunday’s Daytona 500.

Junior was forced to sit out the end of last year with a concussion and his return has been highly anticipated. He inherited his ability to manage the draft from Dale Earnhardt Sr. and should be able to stay in the front pack. If he and Elliott can lock up together, they will be a force.

Chase Elliott posted a lap of 46.663 and has locked down the pole for the Daytona 500.

The front row has the only positions locked into the race regardless of the driver’s finish position in Thursday’s qualification races. Chase Elliott won last year’s pole, but sustained crash damage to finish 37th. He will line up alongside Dale Earnhardt Jr. on the outside pole. Alan Gustafson is the first crew chief since Chase’s uncle Ernie Elliott to win three in a row.

A lap of 93.862 mph was the quickest of the 27 cars out on the track for the first practice session. No. 4 Ronnie Bassett Jr, No. 44 Dillon Bassett, No. 12 Harrison Burton and No. 40 Sheldon Creed are the rest of the top five on the speed chart. No. 36 Jesse Iwuji was the slowest.
