Michael Annett has finished on the same lap as the leaders in five races and those venues speak to his ability to adapt to various track types.

Four of Annett’s complete races came on the plate track of Talladega, the 1.5-mile Kentucky Speedway, the two-mile Auto Club Speedway, and the flat triangle in Pocono. He earned top-20s in all of these races. In addition, he completed all 110 laps at Sonoma to earn a 30th.

Ryan Reed, who qualified ninth for Saturday afternoon’s XFINITY Series Hisense 4k TV 300, had a fast No. 16 Lilly Diabetes Ford Mustang at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

He ran solidly in the top 10 and top five throughout the 200-lap race. Reed tagged the outside wall while battling for position late in the race on a restart, resulting in some right-side damage. Despite the damage, Reed was able to battle it out until the end and cross the finish line 11th. He gained two spots to sixth in the 2017 NXS driver championship standings after this event.

Brandon Jones (No. 33 Wood Ducks Baseball Chevrolet Camaro) finished 16th in Saturday's NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) Hisense 4k TV 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC.

He started 21st in the lineup and completed all of the 200 laps run. Jones, who entered all 10 NXS races so far this season, is currently 15th in the 2017 driver championship point standings after this event.

He started 17th in the lineup and completed all of the 200 laps run. Gaughan, who entered all 10 NXS races so far this season, is currently 16th in the 2017 driver championship point standings after this event.

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series regular Ryan Blaney (No. 21 Ford Fusion), driving the No. 12 Snap-On Ford Mustang, won the Hisense 4K TV 300, his fifth victory in 56 NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) races.

This is his first victory and fifth top-10 NXS finish in 2017. It is his first victory and third top-10 finish in five NXS races at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS). Cup regular Kevin Harvick (second) posted his 18th top-10 finish in 28 NXS races at CMS and his third top-10 NXS finish in 2017. Austin Dillon (third), another Cup regular, posted his sixth top-10 finish in nine NXS races at CMS. Cole Custer (seventh) was the highest finishing Rookie of the Year contender. Elliott Sadler leads the NXS point standings by 6 points over Justin Allgaier.

Kyle Larson posted the fastest single lap in final practice for the Coke 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway with a speed of 186.400 mph.

Larson will have to roll off from the back of the pack because he was unable to clear inspection. He is going to earn a ton of place-differential points on his way to the front of the pack and should be on most fantasy rosters.

Jordan Anderson (Mike Harmon's No. 74 Dodge) does not qualify for the XFINITY Series Hisense 4k TV 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The team is not guaranteed a start in this weekend’s NXS race. Based on NASCAR’s time trial knockout procedure, upon completion of the first round of qualifying, the 40 eligible cars for starting positions one to 40 is determined. The car was listed as 42nd on the chart.

Brad Keselowski clipped the wall early in final practice for the Coke 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and spun into the infield grass.

It does not appear that Keselowski did much damage to his car and will probably not need to roll out a backup.
