What’s in a name? In Cole Whitt’s case it would appear to be worth two positions. In his first eight races this season with Swan Racing he posted an average finish of about 31st. His latest 11 races netted and average of 29th.

Equally important, Whitt has been improving during races. His first eight attempts witnessed him finishing better than he qualified in 63 percent of his starts; the last 11 have shown advancement in 82 percent.

Jamie McMurray apparently cut a tire late in stage one of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and had to pit 10 laps from the end of the segment.

McMurray was running in the teens and lost a lap in the process.

Kevin Harvick apparently cut a left front tire and slammed the wall 16 laps from the end of stage one of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Harvick did heavy damage to his car and is unlikely to be competitive for the remainder of the race. Remove him from NASCAR Fantasy Live rosters,

Kyle Busch led 7Busch sco1 of the first 75 laps of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Busch scooted out to an early lead and has the best car in daytime. Things may change once the sun goes down.

Austin Dillon slapped the wall on lap 38 of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and did fairly significant damage to his No. 3 Chevrolet.

Dillon’s debris brought out the caution, but he is likely to lose laps with the damage.

Austin Cindric (No. 12 Pirtek Ford) finished 16th in Saturday's NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) Alsco 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

He started eighth in the lineup and completed all laps of the 204 laps run. Cindric entered all 11 NXS races run so far this season and is ranked 12th in the 2018 driver point standings after this event.

Leilani Munter (No. 20 Vegan Strong Toyota) finished 20th in Thursday night's ARCA Racing Series General Tire 150 at Charlotte (NC) Motor Speedway.

She started 24th in the lineup and completed 96 laps of the 100-lap race. Munter competed in three of the six ARCA races so far this year and is currently 20th in the 2018 driver championship standings after this event.

He started 10th in the lineup and completed all laps of the 100-lap race. Lynn competed in only two of the six ARCA races so far this year and is currently 25th in the 2018 driver championship standings after this event.

It didn't take Riley Herbst long to learn the best way around Pocono Raceway. The 2017 SCOTT ARCA Rookie of the Year won last year's General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 in his first attempt on the "Tricky Triangle."

Herbst won the first Pocono ARCA race last year and finished second in the other. He didn't just win in the first round; he beat NASCAR veteran and 5-time ARCA winner Brandon Jones to the final stripe by nearly two seconds. Ironically, it was Jones who barely held off a hard-charging Herbst to win at Charlotte last Thursday night.

Codie Rohrbaugh (No. 7 Grant County Mulch Chevrolet) finished ninth in Thursday night's ARCA Racing Series General Tire 150 at Charlotte (NC) Motor Speedway.

He started ninth in the lineup and completed all laps of the 100-lap race. Rohrbaugh competed in three of the six ARCA races so far this year and is currently 26th in the 2018 driver championship standings after this event.
