Kaz Grala finishes 8th in Saturday night's NASCAR K&N Pro Series-East race at Columbus (Ohio) Motor Speedway.

He started the No. 31 OzLINK Chevrolet 17th in the lineup for the JEGS 150. He is currently 9th in the 2014 K&N Pro Series-East point standings.

AJ Allmendinger finished 10th in the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway as the last driver on the lead lap.

'Dinger has a solid record on plate tracks in large part because he manages to stay out of trouble. Make a note to watch him closely at Talladega SuperSpeedway in May and Daytona in July. The bigger story, however, is just how chaotic and unpredictable restrictor-plate racing can be.

Michael McDowell started 22nd and finished ninth in the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway.

All week, we have been saying that the move of Kasey Kahne into the No. 95 and McDowell to the No. 34 would be a good thing. It turned out better than expected for McDowell, who scored his third Daytona top-10 in the past three years. It pays to take dark horses in the Great American Race.

Despite getting involved in a Big One crash in sight of the checkers, Ryan Newman finished eighth in the Daytona 500.

Newman is a bulldog and if he has a shot at getting into the top 10, he is going to do so. That never-quit attitude is what makes him such a strong fantasy value. Teammate Austin Dillon won, which will give Richard Childress Racing a lot of momentum in the coming weeks.
Feb 18 - 7:40 PM

Ryan Blaney crashed along with Kurt Busch in the run to the white flag, but sustained minimal damage and claimed a seventh-place finish in the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway.

Blaney slapped the wall and flattened the right side of his Ford, but he led 114 laps before that late-race incident. That made him the top points' earner in most fantasy games and insured that he will stay relevant for weeks to come. Look for Team Penske to be a powerhouse again in 2018 like they were in 2016.
Feb 18 - 7:36 PM

Paul Menard finished sixth in the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway, which was an impressive debut in the Wood Bros. No. 21.

Last year, this car was run by Ryan Blaney. A strong affiliation with Team Penske made them a much better value than one would expect from a single-car team and Menard is carrying on that tradition. Menard's value to fantasy owners has risen as a result of this strong run.
Feb 18 - 7:12 PM

Chris Buescher may well have been the best value in the Daytona 500 with a fifth-place finish after starting 21st.

The addition of 16-place differential points in addition to what he scored for the fifth-place result more than offset his modest salary cap. Buescher is not a one-trick pony, however, and will continue to be an acceptable sleeper in the coming weeks. Watch him closely.
Feb 18 - 7:07 PM

Joey Logano lost a lap following a late-race, pit road penalty, but was awarded a Free Pass in sight of the checkers and charged back to fourth in the Daytona 500.

Logano did a great job of drafting with teammate Ryan Blaney, who seemed to have the car to beat before a late-race crash. Refusing to give up, he charged from 15th to the top five, but the bigger picture is how well the tandem ran. Look for Team Penske to stay in the hunt for the foreseeable future and start them with confidence.

In a photo finish with Darrell Wallace Jr., Denny Hamlin finished third in the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway.

Hamlin led the field to green in the three-lap shootout to the checkers. He lost the lead to Aric Almirola who had a strong push from eventual winner Austin Dillon. Thaty stalled his momentum and allowed Wallace to side draft into the second. Hamlin tried to push Wallace up the track, but lost the spot by less than a spoiler.
Feb 18 - 6:47 PM

Darrell Wallace Jr. finished second in the Daytona 500 after missing a late-race Big One crash.

Wallace almost got his rookie campaign off to a great start with a guaranteed spot in the playoffs. Regardless, his second-place finish easily made him one of the top values in the game and allowed him to draw first blood in the Rookie of the Year campaign.
Feb 18 - 6:43 PM

Austin Dillon survived a chaotic Daytona 500 and last-lap contact with Aric Almirola to win the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway.

Dillon led one lap en route to victory driving the famed No. 3. The driver who made it famous won his first Daytona 500 in 1998 after leading more than 100 laps. With the win, Dillon is all but assured a spot in the playoffs, which means the pressure is off for the remainder of the year. That can be a double-edged sword for fantasy owners if Dillon and the team begin to experiment.
Feb 18 - 6:39 PM

Ryan Blaney and Kurt Busch got together in the run to the white flag and triggered an eight-car Big One in the Daytona 500.

Blaney led 114 laps, which was the first time since 2005 that a driver led more than 100 circuits. Tony Stewart was the last to do so. Busch's car was destroyed; Blaney pancacked the right hand side of his car, but continued on. With the accident at the front of the field, most of the cars involved had a shot at winning.
