Johnny Sauter has numerous tracks on the 2014 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule that he excels at - Pocono (Pa.) Raceway, the site of Saturday night's Pocono Mountains 150 has not been one of them.

Sauter's Average Finish across four career starts at the "Tricky Triangle" is 16.0. He hopes to replicate his improvement in last week's Mudsummer Classic at Eldora Speedway in this week's event at Pocono and regain the points lead as the series hits the halfway point. He posted an Average Running Position of 8.493 en route to an eighth-place finish at the famed half-mile clay oval. His finish at Eldora was right in line with his Average Finish of 8.49 across the first 10 races on the 2014 schedule.-ThorSport Racing

Justin Allgaier (No. 7 Breyers Chevrolet Camaro) had the best 10-lap consecutive average speed in the first practice for the XFINITY Series Hisense 4k TV 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

His average speed of 179.538 mph was best of the 11 cars that ran at least 10 consecutive laps on the track for this session. No. 19 Matt Tifft, No. 22 Brad Keselowski, No. 41 Kevin Harvick, and No. 20 Denny Hamlin make up the rest of the top five on this list.

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series regular Ryan Blaney (No. 21 Ford), driving the No. 12 Snap-On Ford Mustang, led the first practice session for the XFINITY Series Hisense 4k TV 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The lap of 182.834 mph was the best of the 42 cars completing laps in this session. No. 48 Brennan Poole, No. 20 Denny Hamlin, No. 22 Brad Keselowski and No. 2 Austin Dillon made up the rest of the top-five on the speed chart. The No. 40 Dodge driver, Austin Wayne Self, was the slowest.

Erik Jones posted the fastest single lap in Thursday’s practice session for the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway when most drivers were working on qualification trim.

His top speed of 192.713 mph was .035 seconds faster than Jimmie Johnson. Charlotte is a great showcase for young talent and veterans alike.

Kyle Larson hit the wall hard exiting turn two during Thursday’s practice for the Coke 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and appeared to do fairly major damage to his Chevrolet.

The car just shot up the track and took a hard lick on the right rear tire. This might necessitate the rolling out of a backup. He was seven minutes from the end of the session.
May 25 - 3:22 PM

Halfway through Thursday’s practice for the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Clint Bowyer scraped the wall and flattened the right side of his Ford.

The damage did not appear to be major, but it doesn’t take much to hurt one’s car. This is a backup after he sustained damage in last week’s All-star race.
May 25 - 2:52 PM

Matt Kenseth snapped a nine-race, top-10 streak on similarly-configured, 1.5-mile tracks this spring at Texas Motor Speedway when he finished 16th, but he has been mostly constant on this track type with 12 consecutive results of 16th or better.

All of those races ended with Kenseth on the lead lap and that is what it takes to get a good finish. Only three of his recent results landed in the top five, however, so it is going to be difficult to use him to anchor one’s roster.
May 24 - 10:30 PM

Regan Smith, who strapped into the No. 43 Ford for the Monster Energy Open, will once again fill in for the injured Aric Almirola in this weekend’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Smith drove to a fourth-place finish in the Monster Energy Open after just 85 minutes of practice with the Richard Petty Motorsports team. Smith will join the No. 43 team in representing the U.S. Air Force for Memorial Day weekend and will pay tribute to fallen Senior Airmen Mark Forester in the 600 Miles of Remembrance. Smith has 11 Monster Energy Series starts at the 1.5-mile track with a best finish of eighth in the spring of 2011. He has 11 XFINITY starts at Charlotte, where he tallied three Top-Five and six Top-10 finishes. He scored his best finish of fourth in the spring of 2015.-RPM

Tyler Reddick (No. 42 Broken Bow Records Chevrolet Camaro) makes his fifth XFINITY Series start and first at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend.

Reddick has two prior starts at the track in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, scoring two top-five finishes. He'll compete in five of the next eight XFINITY Series races (Charlotte, Michigan, Iowa, Daytona and Kentucky).-Chip Ganassi Racing

Brennan Poole is set to make his fourth Charlotte Motor Speedway NASCAR XFINITY Series start on Saturday.

In three prior starts at the 1.5 mile speedway, he has one top-10 finish. Poole remains 10th in the XFINITY Series driver's standings. His No. 48 DC Solar Chevy will carry a special patriotic paint scheme this weekend in Charlotte and for the Daytona race on July 4th weekend.-Chip Ganassi Racing
May 24 - 10:20 PM

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has finished in the top 15 in his last six races this season, including last week’s 11th-place finish on the similarly-configured, 1.5-mile Kansas Speedway.

Stenhouse’s streak has come on a variety of tracks. He has top-10s on short tracks, a victory on the restrictor-plate, superspeedway of Talladega, and top-15s on the similarly-configured, 1.5-mile tracks. That suggest he will finish in the high single digits or low-teens this week.
May 24 - 10:18 PM

Landon Cassill failed to finish on the lead lap this season until the Toyota Owners 400. He completed the distance there and again last week at Kansas Speedway in the GoBowling.com 400.

Cassill broke a transmission at Talladega to keep him from getting a three-race streak of complete races. The Coke 600 is the longest race of the year, so staying on the lead lap there will be a challenge.
