Brad Keselowski is the top-ranked driver for the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. His victory this summer in the Camping World RV Sales 301 and back-to-back wins at Richmond and Chicagoland will make him difficult to beat.

Keselowski’s performance on the short, flat tracks of Richmond and New Hampshire could easily be classified as dominant—and even if he fails to win, it is highly unlikely that he will not challenge for at least a top-five.

Team Penske announced today that it will form a partnership with one of the most successful motorsport teams in Australia to compete in the popular V8 Supercars Championship, beginning in 2015.

DJR Team Penske will compete with Ford Falcons in the 2015 V8 Supercars Championship with a true hero of Australian motorsports behind the wheel. Marcos Ambrose will return to the Series where he drew international acclaim to race the iconic No. 17 Ford for DJR Team Penske. Ambrose is a two-time V8 Supercars champion; winning back-to-back titles in 2003 and 2004. He transitioned to a winning career in NASCAR where he has earned seven wins and eight pole positions while competing in the Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series over the past nine seasons. Ambrose, a native of Launceston, Tasmania, is one of the most successful drivers in the history of the V8 Supercars Championship. In the 65 rounds in which he competed from 2001 to 2005, he won 28 individual races.-Team Penske

For the second consecutive week, Jeff Gordon finished second to Brad Keselowski. Last week, he was the runner-up at Richmond and this week he finished 1.76 seconds behind the Penske racer in the 400 at Chicagoland.

Most experts predict that the championship battle is going to come down to Penske versus Hendrick and fantasy owners have seen nothing in the past two races to suggest that prediction is incorrect. Both Gordon and Keselowski are equally strong on next week’s short, flat track in New Hampshire.

Brad Keselowski made a bold move on a late-race restart to take the lead from Kevin Harvick and Kyle Larson. He then withstood a final restart to win the 400 at Chicagoland. That victory automatically locks him into the second round of the Chase for the Championship.

Keselowski had to overcome a 25th-place qualification after the starting grid was set by practice speeds. He can gamble a little in the next two races, but there is not much benefit to do so since bonus points are not awarded. With this win, he establishes the No. 2 as a favorite to win the championship because there are three more races during the playoffs on similarly-configured, 1.5-mile tracks.

Matt Crafton, driver of the No. 88 Splash-FVP/Menards Toyota Tundra, had a lot to gain from a solid run in Saturday's rain-delayed Lucas Oil 225 at Chicagoland Speedway.

Entering the 15th race on the 2014 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule, the ThorSport Racing driver was second in the 2014 driver point standings, a mere seven points behind first-place. Following a second-place finish on Saturday at Chicago, Crafton's track-best finish in six starts at the 1.5-mile D-shaped oval, the reigning series champion moved into the lead in the championship point standings by five points over teammate Johnny Sauter.-ThorSport Racing
