Justin Allgaier (No. 7 Cheney Brothers/Southern Foods Chevrolet Camaro) finished 14th in Saturday's NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol (TN) Motor Speedway.

He started fifth in the lineup and completed all of the 300 laps run. Allgaier, who entered all seven NXS races so far this season, gained two spots from fifth to third in the 2017 driver championship point standings after this event.

Jay Beasley (No. 42 Honda Generators Toyota) scored a 14th place finish in Saturday's NASCAR K&N Pro Series-East (NKNPSE) Zombie Auto 125 at Bristol (TN) Motor Speedway.

He started 10th in the lineup and completed all laps of the rain-shortened 70-lap event. Beasley, who competed in all three NKNPSE races so far this year, is currently 11th in the 2017 NKNPSE point standings after this event.

Daniel Hemric didn't have a lot of time to consider winning the $100,000 NASCAR XFINITY Series Dash 4 Cash bonus Saturday.

Because for a few moments in the final laps of the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway, the Richard Childress Racing driver was more concerned about a potential win. "In all honesty, in the back of my mind we haven't put ourselves in position to run for a win this year," Hemric said after his series-best fifth-place finish earned him the D4C bonus. "I felt like we were doing that (today) as the stages went by and as the laps went by. "The Dash 4 Cash is always lingering there but it's not something that crosses your mind."

Blake Koch (No. 11 LeafFilter Gutter Protection Chevrolet Camaro) finished ninth in Saturday's NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol (TN) Motor Speedway.

He started 16th in the lineup and completed all of the 300 laps run. Koch, who entered all seven NXS races so far this season, is currently seventh in the 2017 driver championship point standings after this event.

Denny Hamlin finished 10th in the Food City 500 after rolling off the grid 16th at Bristol Motor Speedway.

That is Hamliin’s best spring finish on this track in three years, although he does have a pair of top-fives in the spring. Without any problems this summer, he should be able to sweep the top 10.
Apr 24 - 6:36 PM

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was considered one of the top dark horses entering this week’s Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. His ninth-place finish confirmed that status.

This was his fifth top-10 finish in his last seven attempts on the half-mile bullring and it made him one of the best values in the game. He will continue to be a good option this summer with a worst-ever finish of 21st in eight starts there.
Apr 24 - 6:26 PM

A speeding penalty with 35 laps to go foiled Martin Truex’s bid for victory in the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Truex has experienced a variety of problems on this track and that made him a risky proposition. With that in mind, his ability to recover and get back into the top 10 should be considered a moral victory. He will have a better handicap this summer as a result.
Apr 24 - 6:21 PM

Chase Elliott finished seventh in the Food City 500, which kept a perfect streak of top-15s at Bristol Motor Speedway alive.

Elliott entered the weekend with the best average finish (during the past three years) on this track. He extended that advantage and will be a good value when the series returns in August. He finished fourth in this race last year and was 15th in the summer.
Apr 24 - 6:17 PM

Kyle Larson finished sixth in the Food City 500, which snapped a three-race streak of results 24th or worse at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Larson accomplished this by going where the competition was not. He ran the high line for most of the weekend and found an advantage. Ironically, his chance at earning his first career top-five on this track ended when he ran up on the lapped car of Derrike Cope in the closing laps.
Apr 24 - 5:48 PM

Joe Logano finished fifth in the Food City 500 after starting fifth at Bristol Motor Speedway.

That was Logano’s fourth top-five in a row this season and his fourth straight top-10 at Bristol. His last two efforts on this track ended in a pair pf 10ths last season, so this should be viewed as a welcome reversal.
Apr 24 - 5:35 PM

NASCAR does not give out a hard charger award, but if they did it just might have gone to Matt Kenseth at Bristol Motor Speedway. He started the Food City 500 22nd and finished fourth.

Like Jimmie Johnson and Kevin Harvick, Kenseth had a difficult start to his season and when the race was lined up by owner points, he started in the back half of the field. He added a ton of place-differential points to his total, however, and banked serious markers for his fantasy owners.
