Kevin Harvick posted the second-fastest single lap in Happy Hour practice for the ISM Connect 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway with a speed of 131.515 mph.

That might well make Harvick the favorite for the race. He has five top-fives in his last six races and is the defending winner from last fall. He starts sixth, which is close enough to the front to allow him to establish a great strategy, and is only about the fifth-most expensive driver in most salary cap games.

Martin Truex Jr. posted the fastest single lap in Happy Hour for the ISM Connect 300 with a speed of 131.647 mph.

Truex won last week at Chicagoland Speedway and that gives him momentum. For that matter, so does the third-place finish he scored this summer on this one-mile track—but fantasy owners should note that was a rare top-five on this course and Truex does not provide any guarantees.

Noah Gragson (No. 18 Switch Toyota Tundra) won the Keystone Light Pole Award for today's UNOH 175 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) with a lap of 131.811 mph.

This is his third pole in 19 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) races. It is his third pole and 14th top-10 start in 2017. This is Gragson's first truck start at NHMS. Christopher Bell (second) posted his 15th top-10 start of 2017 and his second in two races at NHMS. Johnny Sauter (third) posted his fourth top-10 start at NHMS and his 15th in 17 races this season.

Ross Chastain will reach a career milestone this weekend at Kentucky Speedway. Saturday night's VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 will be his 100th NASCAR XFINITY Series race start.

The majority of Chastain's XFINITY career has been in the No. 4 JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet Camaro, and he is eager to make race number 100 a good one. "It's hard to believe that I've reached my 100th race in the Xfinity Series," says Chastain. "It has been a great ride so far, and I'm excited to see how the next 100 races go. Kentucky is a very challenging track, especially since the repave, but I'm confident that my No. 4 crew will set me up with a great ride."-JDM

It was survival of the fittest tonight at Kentucky Speedway. It was also a daring four-wide move that included Austin Theriault on a late-race restart that paid off handsomely for the Fort Kent, Maine driver.

In the end, Theriault, in the No. 52 Cross Insurance Ford, held off Sheldon Creed and Zane Smith over a green-white-checker finish to win the wild Crosley Brands 150 Friday night, his seventh ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards victory of the season. Theriault held off the pack over the final 14 laps. He also padded his championship lead unofficially by 405 points with just the Kansas Speedway finale remaining.

Justin Allgaier (No. 7 BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevrolet Camaro) had the best 10-lap consecutive average speed in the XFINITY Series final practice for the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, KY.

The average speed of 179.091 mph was best of the 13 cars that ran at least 10 consecutive laps on the track for this final practice session. No. 33 Brandon Jones, No. 48 Brennan Poole, No. 19 Matt Tifft and No. 42 Tyler Reddick round out the rest of the top-five on this list.

Sheldon Creed has been picture-perfect so far at Kentucky Speedway. After putting up the fastest lap in the open test Wednesday, the Alpine, Calif. driver was fastest in practice earlier today. Creed, in the No 28 United Rentals-MDM Motorsports Toyota, answered his fast practice run with his career-first General Tire pole Friday afternoon.

Creed circled the 1.5-mile track in 29.301 seconds (184.294 mph), very near the one-lap track record of 29.261 set by Chase Briscoe in 2016. Since the track was resurfaced in October 2016, General Tire brought a harder compound to accommodate the new pavement. Creed's MDM teammate Zane Smith will join him on the front row in the second starting position for tonight's Crosley Brands 150.
Sep 22 - 7:31 PM

Erik Jones is the only driver in the top 12 in qualification for the ISM Connect 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway who is not in playoff contention. His lap of 133.971 was good enough for eighth on the grid.

Jones qualified sixth this summer for the Overton's 301, but he ran into trouble and finished 39th. If he stays out of trouble this week, he should easily score a top-10.
Sep 22 - 6:18 PM

With a lap of 135.049 mph, Kyle Busch won the pole for Sunday’s ISM Connect 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Busch was penalized for a pit infraction last week and that contributed to a modest finish at Chicagoland Speedway. He is still in a great points’ position and should easily advance to round two, but he wants to show dominant speed.
