Kenneth Massa Motorsports has announced its 2018 plans for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. Veteran driver Justin Bonsignore will drive a LFR Car as he races for the NWMT championship with Ryan Stone as his crew chief.

Additionally, it was announced that Phoenix Communications Inc. will continue its partnership with KMM serving as the primary sponsor of the No. 51 NWMT race car. Bonsignore will start his ninth season with KMM in 2018. He has scored 12 wins during his NWMT career and ranked in the Top-3 in final championship standings in three of the past four years. Calling the shots for Bonsignore will be 20-year racing veteran Ryan Stone who has more than a decade of experience in modified racing as a driver, car chief and crew chief including three years working at LFR.

NASCAR handed down a penalty to Kyle Larson's No. 42 team for "Damaged Vehicle Repair" after last weekend’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) event at Talladega Superspeedway.

Infraction: Section 10.9.9.d Damaged vehicle repair, regardless of how the damage occurred, is permitted to have original body parts removed or reattached in their original location with fasteners and/or tape only. Crew chief (Chad Johnston) has been fined $25,000. Car chief (David Bryant) has been suspended from the next MENCS championship points event. Ryan Reed (No. 16 Drive Down A1C Lilly Diabetes Ford Mustang) will make his fifth NASCAR Xfinity Series start at Kansas Speedway this weekend.

In his four previous starts at the 1.5-mile track, his best finish of 10th came in 2017. He has an average finish of 13.8 at Kansas Speedway. In two ARCA Racing Series starts at Kansas Speedway, Reed earned two top-10 finishes, crossing the finish line 10th in 2012 and fourth in 2015. Daniel Hemric (No. 21 South Point Hotel & Casino Chevrolet Camaro) will be making his second NASCAR Xfinity Series start at Kansas Speedway during this weekend's 300-lap event.

Ty Majeski (No. 60 Ford Mustang) has two previous ARCA Series starts at Kansas Speedway. In 2017 he qualified third and led 38 laps before settling for a second-place finish.

Majeski on Kansas: "It will be nice to go to a track that I have been to before, obviously that shortens the learning curve since practice is limited in the Xfinity Series." Majeski will be in the No. 60 Ford for the next three upcoming Xfinity races.-Roush Fenway Racing

Michael Annett’s best finish at Kansas in his six NASCAR Xfinity Series starts came in 2012, when the Iowa native finished eighth.

The No. 5 Pilot Flying J Chevrolet driver has been markedly consistent at Kansas Speedway, completing 98.3 percent of the laps attempted in his six starts on the 1.5-mile oval. On 1.5-mile tracks in the NXS this season, Annett’s best finish of 12th came at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May.
