Joey Gase will make his fourth Cup start on a short track this weekend, driving the No. 00 for StarCom Racing.

Alon Day will make his second Cup start and first on an oval this weekend at Richmond Raceway for the No. 23 BK Racing team.

Day’s first start came last year at Sonoma when he finished 32nd on the road course. While this team has been embattled for much of the year, they typically run until the end and that can provide decent results when there is high attrition. With so many playoff drivers desperately in need of a strong run at Richmond, Day could be good bargain basement value.

Justin Bonsignore looks to continue on his NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship path by putting himself in position to clinch his first title before the finale even takes the green.

If he has another strong day, and Chase Dowling stumbles, there is one scenario that could see Bonsignore clinch the title at the checkered flag of the Musket 250 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. With seven wins in 13 races, he would love to add the longest race in Whelen Modified Tour history to his winning resume.-NASCAR PR
