This will be Todd Gilliland’s fourth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race on a mile-and-a-half track since turning 18 in May.

He finished 10th at Charlotte, sixth at Texas and 16th at Chicagoland. He has no prior starts in any series at Kentucky Speedway. In seven NCWTS starts this season, Gilliland has one top-five, four top-10 finishes and has led 64 laps. He led a race-high 62 laps at Texas Motor Speedway. Despite only competing in seven of the 11 races due to age restrictions, he currently ranks 13h in the Truck Series championship standings and is 124 points out of the eighth and final playoff spot.-Kyle Busch Motorsports

Kevin Harvick's third-place finish in the Ford EcoBoost 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway was his 29th top-10 of the season and his 23rd top-five.

That is the most top-10s and top-fives earned by one of the active drivers in a season. Harvick had 28 top-10s and tied his mark of 23 top-fives in 2015.
Nov 19 - 3:09 PM

Kurt Busch finished 10th in the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, which was his 13th top-10 in the last 18 races of the season (72.2%).

In that same span of races, Busch scored only three top fives, however. He was consistently a very goo - but not great - starter. His handicap for 2019 is uncertain because we do not know where he is going to land.
Nov 18 - 8:42 PM

Aric Almirola finished ninth in the Ford 400 at Homestead, which contributed to his fifth-place position in the points standings.

The only one who expected Almirola to do this well in 2018 was Almirola himself. This team has a lot to build upon entering the off-season and they could be one of the hidden gems in 2019.
Nov 18 - 8:34 PM

Clint Bowyer finished eighth in the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Fantasy owners will be forgiven if they did not have him on the radar screen. He had not scored a top-10 on this track in the past three years and he qualified only 26th on Friday. Those positive place-differential points added to his total made him one of the best values.
Nov 18 - 8:31 PM

Chase Elliott had an up and down Ford 400, but he employed a little strategy at the end of the race and finished seventh at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Elliott stayed out on a late green flag run, which allowed him to pit with the leaders. His team executed and got him back on track in the top 10. From there, Elliott did the rest.
Nov 18 - 8:28 PM

Matt Kenseth finished sixth in the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway one week after scoring his first top-10 at Phoenix (7th).

It took a while for Kenseth to get this team where they needed to be, but back to back top-10s gives them a lot of momentum heading into 2019 when Ryan Newman will take over.
Nov 18 - 8:24 PM

Brad Keselowski finished fifth in the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway after starting fourth.

That made him best in class. That was his fourth result of sixth or better in the last five races of the season. He may not have qualified for the Championship 4, but he was one of the best values in the closing races.
Nov 18 - 8:16 PM

Kyle Busch finished fourth in the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway - completing a sweep of the top four by the Championship 4.

Busch was gifted the No. 1 pit stall when Denny Hamlin bypassed the preferred slot. That contributed to Kyle Busch taking the lead on the final pit stop, but he was not able to hold the advantage.
Nov 18 - 8:14 PM

Kevin Harvick finished third in the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway after starting 12th.

Harvick was disappointed by his finish, but given how badly he struggled in practice and qualification, this was a much better result than most experts predicted. He closed out the season with three consecutive top-fives.
Nov 18 - 8:11 PM

Martin Truex Jr. came up 12 laps shy of winning the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He finished second in the standings and the points.

This is the last race for Furniture Row Racing. In 2019, Truex moves to Joe Gibbs Racing. Expect his results to be even a little better next season.
Nov 18 - 8:07 PM

Joey Logano won the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway and along with that, the 2018 championship.

Logano proclaimed himself the favorite at Phoenix - and the other contenders laughed. Logano was right.
