Michael Annett (No. 5 Allstate Parts & Service Chevrolet) ranks third in Quality Passes (NASCAR Loop Data statistics) at Las Vegas among NXS regulars, trailing only JRM teammates Justin Allgaier and Elliott Sadler.

Annett has finished 13th in half of his six NXS starts at the 1.5-mile desert oval, including in the race earlier this year. Annett trails 12th-place Austin Cindric by 57 points heading to Las Vegas and will need to have a near-perfect day to make it into the NXS Playoffs for the second straight season. A win on Saturday would put him in the field of the 12 contending drivers.-JR Motorsports

Kevin Harvick qualified 12th for the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Harvick complained of a tight condition during the third round of qualification. There is no big concern, however; in 2015 he qualified 13th and finished second.

Denny Hamlin won the pole for the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway for the second consecutive year and the third time in his last four races.

Hamlin finished ninth in this race last year after leading the field to green. In 2015, he finished 10th after winning the pole.

Grant Enfinger (No. 98 Ford F-150) won the Pole Award for the Ford EcoBoost 200 with a lap of 169.348 mph.

This is his third pole in 60 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) races. It is his second pole and 16th top-10 start in 2018 and his first pole in three races at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Stewart Friesen (second) posted his 16th top-10 start of 2018 and his second in three races at Homestead. Noah Gragson (third) scored his third top-10 Homestead start and his 19th in 22 races this season. Myatt Snider (12th) was the fastest qualifying Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender.
Nov 16 - 5:28 PM

John Hunter Nemechek (No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro) had the best 10-lap consecutive average speed in the first practice for Saturday's XFINITY Series Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Florida.

His average speed of 162.254 mph was best of the 15 cars that ran at least 10 consecutive laps on the track for this session. No. 20 Christopher Bell, No. 9 Tyler Reddick, No. 18 Ryan Preece and No. 19 Brandon Jones are the rest of the top-five on this list.
Nov 16 - 5:21 PM

Christopher Bell (No. 20 Toyota) led the first practice session for Saturday's XFINITY Series Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Florida.

A lap of 167.193 mph was the best of the 42 cars completing laps in this session. No. 22 Austin Cindric, No. 21 Daniel Hemric, No. 00 Cole Custer and No. 42 John Hunter Nemechek made up the rest of the top-five on the speed chart. The No. 99 Chevy, driven by Stephen Leicht, was the slowest.
Nov 16 - 5:18 PM

Kevin Harvick posted the fifth fastest lap in the first practice session for the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway with a speed of 172.828 mph.

Harvick was knocked down the order in the closing laps by Clint Bowyer and Chase Elliott - who apparently made an extra run on sticker tires. For most of the session, he was third on the speed chart behind fellow playoff contenders Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch.
Nov 16 - 2:44 PM

Kyle Busch posted the second fastest lap in the first practice session for the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway with a speed of 173.299 mph.

That was .125 seconds slower than Martin Truex Jr. - a significant number. He also burned up one extra set of tires, possibly so that he could jump to the top of the board speculated NBC's Steve Letarte. In the long run, it is unlikely to make much difference and the Big 3 should all qualify on the first three rows.
Nov 16 - 2:39 PM

Martin Truex Jr. posted the single fastest lap in the first practice session for the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway with a speed of 173.997 mph.

Truex was making a statement on new tires - but he stayed among the leaders on his second and third laps. The hyper-attention to the Big 3 this week provided a lot of information about how they stack up against one another and Truex has (at the very least) proved he will be among the challengers.
Nov 16 - 2:30 PM

Matt Crafton (No. 88 Ford F-150) had the best 10-lap consecutive average speed in final NASCAR Camping World Truck Series practice leading up to the Ford EcoBoost 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Florida.

The average speed of 160.660 mph was best of the 12 trucks that ran at least 10 consecutive laps on the track for this session. No. 51 Harrison Burton, No. 25 Tyler Dippel, No. 8 John Hunter Nemechek and No. 04 Cory Roper are the rest of the top-five on this list.

Justin Haley (No. 24 Chevrolet Silverado) led the final NASCAR Camping World Truck Series practice session for the Ford EcoBoost 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Florida.

He ran a quick lap of 167.141 mph in this session. No. 18 Noah Gragson, No. 51 Harrison Burton, No. 2 Sheldon Creed and No. 54 Chris Windom round out the top-five of the 31 trucks practicing in this session. Reid Wilson in the No. 15 Chevrolet Silverado was the slowest.

His average speed of 163.481 mph was best of the four trucks that ran at least 10 consecutive laps on the track for this session. No. 4 Todd Gilliland (162.982 mph), No. 8 John Hunter Nemechek (162.518 mph) and No. 2 Sheldon Creed (156.809 mph) are the others on this list.
