Joakim Noah will play through what the Bulls are officially calling a sprained right thumb on Wednesday.

Last we heard Noah was headed for tests on Thursday in Chicago, and presumably that's still the case. Hopefully those will turn up positive news and he'll be able to continue playing through it. In the meantime, Taj Gibson makes sense as an insurance policy.

Anthony Davis (shoulder) is warming up to play against the Pistons on Wednesday.

He is a game-time decision for this game and there should be an update within the next hour. The Pelicans are almost certainly going to want him to be discomfort-free, so he could wind up sitting. We'll pass along the updates as they become available.
Mar 4 - 6:13 PM

Channing Frye will come off the bench on Wednesday with Dewayne Dedmon taking his place in Orlando's starting lineup.

Frye has posted the second-worst defensive efficiency rating of any Magic player under interim coach James Borrego, which is the root cause of the switch. "He's trying defensively," Borrego said. "Offensively ... he gives our guards space. He gives Nik [Vucevic] room and space to operate." Frye will still be a part of the frontcourt rotation but his already limited upside takes a hit with this move to the bench.
Mar 4 - 6:06 PM

Kyle Lowry (rest) will not play against the Cavs on Wednesday.

The team is still calling it "rest" despite how he has a hand injury. Lowry is likely going to miss one more game and should be considered questionable to play against the Hornets on Friday. With Lowry out, it'll be Greivis Vasquez making his third start in a row. In his previous two, he averaged 13.0 points, 5.5 boards, 0.5 steals and 3.0 treys. He's worth starting in standard leagues tonight.
Mar 4 - 5:59 PM

Kelly Olynyk (ankle) will return against the Jazz on Wednesday and come off the bench.

He has been out since January with a severe ankle sprain. Olynyk made it through most of practice back on Feb. 28, so he should be able to play close to 24 minutes tonight. With Olynyk back, Jae Crowder and Jonas Jerebko are going to lose playing time. Olynyk should be owned in all standard leagues, especially with Jared Sullinger out for the season.
Mar 4 - 5:37 PM

Tobias Harris (knee) is questionable to play on Wednesday, according to Magic beat writer John Denton.

Harris was limited during Tuesday's practice and can't seem to shake this knee injury. He was originally expected to play on Wednesday so there's some cause for optimism, but his status may not be determined until pre-game warmups. If he doesn't play there will be more opportunities for guys like Aaron Gordon (ankle), Moe Harkless, Andrew Nicholson, and more shots available for Orlando's go-to scorers Nikola Vucevic and Victor Oladipo.
Mar 4 - 5:29 PM

Roy Hibbert (rest) will not play against the Knicks on Wednesday.

Perhaps the Pacers are a little worried about Hibbert falling on his face in the second half again. While he did play well against the sub-par Philly team on Sunday, Hibbert struggled in his first four game games after the break. He is still worth owning in all leagues and should be fine for Friday. Ian Mahinmi will start and is not worth streaming in most leagues tonight.
Mar 4 - 5:22 PM

Evan Fournier (hip) and Luke Ridnour (hamstring) will not play against the Suns on Wednesday.

Fournier will miss his third game in a row and he is dealing with a day-to-day issue. Aaron Gordon is back and he should get some minutes for the Magic. Fournier is not worth owning in most leagues while Gordon is not worth owning either.
Mar 4 - 5:19 PM

Kemba Walker (knee) has been cleared for basketball activities without restrictions.

He was re-evaluated today and it must have went very well. Walker was hoping to return on Mar. 16 and that target date seems well within his grasp. He didn't have a severe surgery and Walker was playing through it before, so he should be able to get it going once he's able to play. Mo Williams has been fantastic, but his playing time will be cut. Walker should be stashed in all leagues.
Mar 4 - 4:28 PM

Ray Allen will not play in the 2014-15 season.

"Over the past several months, I have taken a lot of time to deliberate what is best for me," Allen said. "I’ve ultimately decided that I will not play this NBA season. I’m going to take the remainder of this season, as well as the upcoming off-season, to reassess my situation, spend time with my family and determine if I will play in the 2015-16 season." Allen is a machine, so we certainly shouldn't rule out the possibility of him playing next year.

Zach Randolph (illness) has been upgraded to probable for Wednesday's game vs. the Rockets.

He was held out of Tuesday's game vs. the Jazz and his presence was clearly missed, as Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors destroyed the Grizzlies in the paint. If Z-Bo is cleared to play tonight he will be a must-start option in all leagues even if he isn't quite 100 percent. Kosta Koufos will shift to the bench and can be dropped in most leagues if Z-Bo is given the green light.
Mar 4 - 1:59 PM

Taj Gibson (ankle) is no longer in a walking boot, but he still hasn't been cleared for basketball activity.

This is definitely a step in the right direction, but it still sounds like Gibson will need another week or so before he will return to the lineup. In the meantime, Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah will each see a small bump in value, while Nikola Mirotic will continue to see an increased role off the bench and will be a must-own player until Gibson returns.
