Deron Williams will only consider signing with the Nets or Mavericks, according to an ESPN report which cites "sources close to the situation."

According to this report, D-Will is comfortable in the NYC area, yet he's "done some preliminary househunting in Dallas this month." He's stated repeatedly that the main factor in his decision will be the chance to win a championship, and we don't expect him to make a decision until the FA market settles down. The ESPN report mentions the Suns, Rockets and Lakers as alternative suitors.

George Hill turned in a big-time revenge game during a 109-100 win over the Pacers on Saturday, scoring 30 points with six rebounds, five assists, one steal, one turnover and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

A lot of Pacers fans were not the biggest Hill fans because he wasn't a typical point guard and made his money sitting in the left corner and cashing in. Well, he's certainly not in Utah, but Hill wasn't out there to prove anyone wrong. "No statement needed," Hill said after the game. He's having a monster season and he really needs to stay heathy.

Kawhi Leonard won the battle against LeBron James during a thrilling 118-115 overtime victory in Cleveland on Saturday, scoring a career-high 41 points with six rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers in 46 minutes.

He's not a system player. He's a system, player. Leonard's offense has been better than his defense these days with six consecutive games of at least 30 points. He joins only George "The Iceman" Gervin as the only two in Spurs history to do that. Leonard wasn't expected to have a J coming out of college, but he posted a 58.7 effective field goal percentage on just his 92 jumpers alone in his last six. The Spurs are first in the NBA in offensive rating in that span and it's all about Kawhi. The Spurs are a Kawhi system these days.

David Lee scored 14 points in another start over the Cavs on Saturday, adding 11 rebounds, three assists and one block in 36 minutes.

Wow. Lee caught a lot of flak for his terrible defense and lack of conditioning in the past few years. Earlier this season, Lee said he wasn't motivated in previous seasons and he has focused more on staying in shape this year. It shows. He's not going to be this good and coach Gregg Popovich loves the situational angle, but it makes a lot of sense to add league in standard leagues with Pau Gasol (hand) out 1-2 months.
Jan 21 - 11:54 PM

LeBron James played 45 minutes during a 118-115 overtime loss to the Spurs on Saturday, scoring 29 points with six rebounds, seven assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.

That playing time matches his second-highest minute total on the season with Kyrie Irving also in that neighborhood with 41 minutes. After the game, coach Ty Lue was asked about the possibility of rest in New Orleans on Monday. "We'll see how they feel," Lue said about LeBron and Kyrie. The Cavs aren't exactly playing winning ball lately, going just 4-5 in their last nine games. James has actually only been a third-round player in that span, but there's nothing to worry about here.
Jan 21 - 11:48 PM

Emmanuel Mudiay (lower back) has been ruled out for Sunday against the Wolves.

That is not a good sign for Mudiay to be ruled out so soon. He was grabbing his back on his way to the locker room on Saturday and he also was ruled out for the remainder of the game in just a few minutes. Mudiay had his back injury coming into this game, but he is day-to-day. Jameer Nelson was actually flirting with standard-league value while Mudiay has been healthy lately, so he looks like a nice pickup for owners need a point guard with a short-term boost.
Jan 21 - 11:26 PM

Sam Dekker hit 12-of-19 shots for a career-high 30 points with four rebounds, two steals and six 3-pointers in Saturday’s 119-95 win over the Grizzlies.

Dekker was very efficient in his first career start. He is averaging 28.3 minutes, 15 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and two 3-pointers per game in his last four. So long as Ryan Anderson (illness) is out, Dekker should see a boost in minutes. However, he will lose his short-term value once Ryno returns.
Jan 21 - 11:05 PM

Devin Booker hit 10-of-21 shots, 3-of-4 3-pointers and 3-of-3 free throws for 26 points, one rebound, two assists, a steal, a block and five turnovers in Saturday's win over the Knicks.

He hit the game-winning 3-pointer tonight, which Carmelo Anthony was unable to match, giving the Suns a rare win. The turnovers and lack of peripherals can be annoying, but he's scoring at will right now, averaging 30 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.6 3-pointers over his last five games while shooting 52 percent. He's a bit of a one-trick pony (or four-trick, with the threes and shooting), and is a must-own player, even with his lack of rebounds, assists, steals and blocks.
Jan 21 - 10:33 PM

Emmanuel Mudiay (back) will not return on Saturday.

This was the same reason he was listed as probable, so it wasn't fake news for him to be on the injury report. Mudiay doesn't have any history of back problems in his NBA career, but he was hobbled as he went back to the locker room. Jameer Nelson is going to be busy, so feel free to grab him if you need a point guard.
Jan 21 - 10:31 PM

Marcus Morris had a game-winning tip at the buzzer against the Wizards on Saturday, scoring 25 points with 11 rebounds, three assists and three 3-pointers in 38 minutes.

Marcus tipped it in over Markieff off a Tobias Harris miss to pull off the thrilling win (video in link below). As you might expect, his twin brother, Markieff, had a laugh with him after the game despite the Pistons snapping the Wizards' winning streak. Marcus is actually in one of his best grooves on the year, averaging 18.8 points, 8.0 boards, 3.0 assists and 2.0 treys over his last five. Even with those numbers, Morris is still only a seventh-round player in that span. That's pretty close to his peak value.

C.J. McCollum scored 35 points against the Celtics during a 127-123 win on Saturday, adding two rebounds, three assists, three steals and three 3-pointers.

What a win for the Blazers. They were coming off a back-to-back after a loss in Philly while the Celtics had two days off. McCollum was on fire in the first half with 26 points to make it five times he's scored 25-plus in a half this season, which ties Russell Westbrook for the most in the NBA. The Most Improved Player has improved again. Even with the stacked guards in the West, he is playing like an All-Star.
Jan 21 - 8:59 PM

Raymond Felton will come off the bench against the Nuggets on Saturday.

He won't be getting a revenge game as a starter. It makes some sense because the Clippers have to figure out what to do with their bench and they need another big out there against Kenneth Faried -- Luc Mbah a Moute should guard Danilo Gallinari. Felton's owners shouldn't panic here.
