Pacers sign free agent G/F Gerald Green on Thursday.

This news came directly from Kevin Pritchard on Twitter, so we're assuming he signed a three-year deal worth about $10 million, but we should know more later. The Pacers passed on Green to take Danny Granger in the 2005 draft and the two will now be playing together. Green was a very pleasant surprise in New Jersey last season, averaging 13 points and 1.4 3-pointers in 31 games, despite signing two 10-day contract. Consider him a late-round sleeper for now, but it would likely take an injury to another Pacer for Green to have true fantasy value.

Jahlil Okafor came up huge vs. the Kings on Wednesday, scoring 26 points on 11-of-18 FGs and 4-of-5 FTs with 10 rebounds, five assists and two blocks in 39 minutes.

Okafor had some rookie moments defensively, and he earned Brett Brown's ire by failing to box out for a few rebounds, but the good easily outweighed the bad tonight. It must be noted that Nerlens Noel (knee) wasn't available tonight, gifting Okafor more minutes and touches in the paint -- the 39 minutes tied a season high set back on Nov. 14.
Feb 10 - 11:54 PM

Robert Covington lit up the Kings on Wednesday for a career-high 29 points with seven 3-pointers, while adding five rebounds and six steals in 32 minutes of action.

Covington did turn the ball over seven times but his owners can overlook that, and these are the games that make holding him worthwhile. RoCo's shot hasn't been falling lately but he's jacking up 6.2 triples over his past five games, and should maintain a steady 25-30 minute role the rest of the way. The good news for Philly's lottery odds is that that his efforts were squandered tonight, as the Sixers blew a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter.
Feb 10 - 11:52 PM

Taj Gibson (foot) said he's been playing through sore left ankle for awhile.

This is the same ankle he had surgery on back in the offseason. Gibson suffered a foot strain on Wednesday, which is likely due from the ankle injury and compensation. Gibson played through ankle pain last year and it backfired on him, so the Bulls might be careful here. It's not a bad idea to grab Bobby Portis until Taj is cleared to play.
Feb 10 - 11:47 PM

Evan Fournier drained 10-of-20 shots including three 3-pointers to finish Wednesday's game with a team-high 28 points, five assists, two rebounds and only one turnover in 42 minutes.

Tobias Harris (ankle) was out again tonight which shifted more opportunities to Fournier, who made the most of the situation with his highest-scoring game since Nov. 18. He drained a key 3-pointer to tie the game at 96-96 after blowing a big fourth-quarter lead, but the Magic couldn't answer a Kawhi Leonard jumper with less than a second on the clock. It's a tough way to head into the All-Star break.
Feb 10 - 11:18 PM

Tim Duncan (knee) returned on Wednesday after an eight-game absence, notching five points on 2-of-9 shooting with seven boards, five assists and three blocks in just 18 minutes.

It's somewhat surprising that the Spurs cleared Duncan to play one game before the All-Star break, but maybe they wanted him to enter the week-long break with some semblance of a rhythm. The bad news is that more DNPs are a given for the veteran, particularly during back-to-back sets, of which the Spurs have seven remaining.
Feb 10 - 11:14 PM

The Spurs won their sixth straight game on Wednesday, beating the Magic behind Kawhi Leonard's game-winning jumper -- he finished with 29 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block.

Kawhi's usage rate has hovered right around 25 percent this season, a wonderful development for his fantasy owners. He shot 12-of-19 from the field with three 3-pointers and is co-existing beautifully with LaMarcus Aldridge, as the two combined to score the Spurs' final 10 points tonight. The 24-year-old will be a perennial fantasy stud for the foreseeable future, and he's not just a roto guy -- he's posting top-15 value in Yahoo's default points leagues.
Feb 10 - 11:11 PM

Kevin Love (shoulder) said he won't miss any games due to his left shoulder contusion.

He said he only had a stinger, so it doesn't sound like anything is wrong structurally. Love should be close to 100 percent after the break, so his fantasy owners dodged a bullet here.
Feb 10 - 11:01 PM

Coach Brad Stevens said Kelly Olynyk suffered a right shoulder subluxation and went to the hospital for X-rays.

That diagnosis means he only had a partial dislocation, which isn't as bad as a a normal dislocation. Players in the past have missed multiple weeks with this injury, so his prognosis is still unclear. The Celtics would likely give more minutes to Jonas Jerebko and Tyler Zeller. His absence would also make Jared Sullinger and Amir Johnson more likely to get consistent run.
Feb 10 - 10:55 PM

Taj Gibson suffered a strained left foot and will not return on Wednesday.

It didn't look bad, but foot injuries can be troublesome. Gibson did not look great in his 22 minutes, scoring four points with three rebounds, one assist and two steals. Considering how razor thin the Bulls would be if Taj is out, Bobby Portis makes a lot of sense as a speculative add for owners with something to cut.
Feb 10 - 9:59 PM

Jerami Grant looked to suffer a tweak to his leg after a fall in the fourth quarter.

He went for a block and his body landed in an unnatural position. Grant is likely done of the night, finishing with seven points, six rebounds, six assists, four blocks and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes during his start for Nerlens Noel (knee). Hopefully, Grant will be ready after the break.
Feb 10 - 9:18 PM

Kelly Olynyk has been diagnosed with a bruised right shoulder and will not return to Wednesday's game.

It didn't look too bad, but there's always a chance of Olynyk being evaluated. Hopefully, there is nothing wrong with him structurally and he can return after the break. If he does need to miss time, that could help Jonas Jerebko, Amir Johnson, Jared Sullinger and Tyler Zeller.
