The Blazers officially acquired guard Sasha Pavlovic, two 2013 second round draft picks and cash considerations from the Celtics as part of the deal that landed Courtney Lee in Boston.

Pavlovic averaged 2.7 points, 1.6 rebounds and 11.7 minutes in 45 games (seven starts) for the Celtics last season. Blazers GM Neil Olshey sang his praises, "We’re looking forward to adding Sasha Pavlovic’s veteran leadership to our squad. He’s a very experienced wing player that we feel can add depth to our rotation." He is far off the fantasy radar for this season.

Zach Randolph (knee) is now considered questionable for Saturday's game against the Heat.

He was recently considered doubtful for this contest, so it appears that Z-Bo is nearing a return. Check back closer to tip-off for official confirmation, and expect Jon Leuer and Kosta Koufos to pick up extra minutes if Randolph sits. Stay tuned.
Dec 27 - 12:32 PM

J.R. Smith (heel) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Kings.

He has missed eight straight games because of his plantar fasciitis, so even if he does play he will likely be eased into action. Smith is worth a flier in deeper leagues for his ability to knock down 3-pointers, but owners in standard leagues can safely monitor him from the waiver wire. Tim Hardaway Jr. will continue playing big minutes if Smith sits this one out. Stay tuned.
Dec 27 - 12:22 PM

Amare Stoudemire will not play vs. the Kings on Saturday due to a sore right knee, and also said that he will likely rest on Sunday.

His knee recently flared up on him during a flight home, and he will have tests on his knee when he returns to New York. Coach Derek Fisher hinted recently that Stoudemire would be looking at more recovery days in the future, meaning his value will likely plummet. Stoudemire should be considered day-to-day for now, and he is said to be targeting Dec. 31 for his return. With Quincy Acy (suspension) also out on Saturday, it will be up to Cole Aldrich, Jason Smith, and Travis Wear to fill the void.
Dec 27 - 12:17 PM

Spencer Hawes (knee) has been upgraded to doubtful for Saturday's game.

He wasn't expected to be ready in time for Saturday's game, so even if he doesn't play it is a great sign that he is getting closer. However, Hawes is still only an asset in deeper leagues, and it will remain that way unless Blake Griffin or DeAndre Jordan suffers an injury. If Hawes sits this one, Glen Davis may see a few extra minutes in the rotation.
Dec 27 - 11:34 AM

Shawne Williams is dealing with a really sore foot, and he is now considered a game-time decision for Saturday's game against Memphis.

Chris Bosh (calf) was already ruled out for this one, meaning the Heat may be forced to give Udonis Haslem big minutes Saturday. Check back for official confirmation before tip-off, but owners should have a backup plan ready. However, don't look towards Haslem, as he simply doesn't have enough upside to play in almost any format.
Dec 27 - 11:06 AM

Chris Bosh (calf) will not play on Saturday vs. Memphis.

Bosh was targeting this game for his return, but he will unfortunately remain on the sidelines and his owners will have to remain patient. Shawne Williams (foot) is also suddenly questionable for Saturday's contest, meaning Udonis Haslem would likely play all the minutes he can handle. Stay tuned.
Dec 27 - 11:02 AM

Jared Dudley made NBA history during Friday's game, becoming the first player to hit 10 or more shots while connecting on three 3-pointers without a miss.

This arguably goes down as one of the craziest performances in the NBA this season, and if you played Jared Dudley in daily leagues you were more than likely handsomely rewarded. While Dudley will probably never come close to doing this again, he has earned a decent role in Milwaukee following the loss of Jabari Parker (leg) for the season. If you are in need of 3-pointers and steals, Dudley is worth a look.
Dec 27 - 10:17 AM

Rodney Stuckey is dealing with a swollen right eye, and his status is not known for Saturday's game against the Nets.

He suffered a blow to the face from Andre Drummond in the third quarter of Friday's game and was not able to return. Stuckey can barely see out of his eye so there is a real possibility that he could rest on Saturday. If he does sit, expect George Hill and C.J. Watson to carry the load for the Pacers.
Dec 27 - 9:25 AM

Ray Allen is reportedly leaning towards retiring despite interest from several different contending teams.

It would be great to see one of the best shooters in NBA history back out on the court but this news is a little troubling. Teams such as San Antonio, Washington, Chicago, Cleveland, and Golden State have all shown interest so it is a little surprising that a deal hasn't been completed. Regardless, even if Allen does sign with a team he won't have a large enough role to matter in most leagues. We will pass along any updates as needed.
Dec 27 - 9:01 AM

Alex Len scored 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting with a career-best 11 rebounds and career-best five blocks against the Kings on Friday.

Len logged just 23 minutes but this output comes off some real momentum and he's a must-own player in standard leagues. We can't guarantee that there aren't hiccups, but the upside is right and he looks like he has taken a proverbial step forward.
Dec 27 - 5:02 AM

Marcus Morris hit six 3-pointers off the bench on Friday against the Kings, finishing with 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting with nine rebounds, five assists and one steal in 28 minutes.

We're not entirely sure he and Markieff (17 points, two rebounds, three steals, one three) don't sometimes switch jerseys but all kidding aside it's a great night for the other Morris twin. He'll have a hard time having more than borderline value in 12-team standard leagues, but if he can build off this we'll let you know.
