Hornets sign F Darius Miller.

Miller was a second-round pick of the Hornets at No. 46 overall. With the relative lack of depth at small forward for New Orleans, Miller could produce some usable stat lines every so often, but he's unlikely to emerge with consistent fantasy value.

Paul George made his return to Team USA action on Friday, scoring 18 points with two rebounds, one assist, two steals and two 3-pointers.

It was his first Team USA televised game since his horrific leg injury. George had a couple breakaway dunks and he justifiably took it easy on those. After the game on NBATV, he did add it was "eerie" for him to get back on the court and said there were a lot of emotions. George looked better than expected last year, especially early in the season. Even with the new players, he's still expected to have a great season with the vast majority of his minutes coming at small forward.

Kevin Durant lit it up against Argentina in a Team USA tune-up on Friday, scoring 23 points with four rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and four 3-pointers.

It still hasn't sunk in yet that he's on the Warriors, has it? Durant was magnificent in this game, making 7-of-12 from the field and all five free throws for a tidy 81.0 true shooting percentage. He did have a tweak to his leg in the second half, but it didn't cost him any playing time. His game is made for fantasy, so expect him to be elite even with a slight dip in usage next year.

Juan Hernangomez is expected to join the Nuggets for the 2016-17 season.

He probably would see a lot more playing time if he stayed in Spain, but the Nuggets saw enough at the summer league to bring him over immediately. He averaged 10.2 points and 8.2 rebounds on 54.5 percent shooting from the field this summer, but he likely won't be a significant part of the rotation right out of the gate because they're loaded at the three and four.

The NBA has officially moved 2017's All-Star Weekend out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

HB2 is the reason for the move, but commissioner Adam Silver is hopeful that by 2019 the league can re-schedule Charlotte as the host of All-Star Weekend. New Orleans is believed to be the current front-runner to land the 2017 All-Star Game, but there's sure to be many teams making their pitches to commissioner Silver. Hornet's Chairman Michael Jordan released a statement following the news, saying that while he is disappointed, he understands the league's decision.

The Knicks are reportedly interested in trading for Greg Monroe.

The Bucks has made it painfully clear that Monroe is available, and the Knicks seem like a realistic landing spot given that they were one of his primary suitors when he was a free agent. Sam Amico reports that the Knicks would likely need to get a third team involved in order to strike a deal, and that if a trade were to go down, it likely wouldn't happen until December.

Jae Crowder said that the pain in his right ankle has finally subsided.

Crowder played through a severely sprained right ankle during the 2016 postseason, and the fact that the pain didn't subside until two months after his season ended speaks to his immense toughness. Crowder also voiced his frustration with Kevin Durant's decision to join Golden State, and said he's "for sure" looking to beat the Warriors next season more so than any other team in the league.

Cheick Diallo and the Pelicans have agreed to a three-year deal.

He's almost certainly going to be on the roster to start the season. Diallo was very impressive in Summer League, especially on the defensive end. He has a decent jumper, but he doesn't have much skill just yet. Considering how much Omer Asik and Alexis Ajinca struggled, maybe Diallo can get minutes.

Alonzo Gee is finalizing a one-year deal with the Pelicans.

Gee's representatives and the Pelicans are hoping to finalize the deal in the next day. Due to the Pelicans having so many injuries late in the year, Gee played 25.9 minutes per game in March. He did suffer a quad tear to end his season on Mar. 28. He'll likely just be emergency depth.

Nets' head coach Kenny Atkinson said during Jeremy Lin's introductory press conference that he's looking for Lin to take on a leadership role, and that he will be the team's "full-time point guard."

Lin is coming into his prime, and has already discussed his willingness to embrace a leadership role for this young Brooklyn team. The last time Lin was a full-time starter was during the 2012-13 season in which he averaged 32.2 minutes a night to go with 13.4 points, 6.1 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.1 triples per game on 44.1 percent shooting, which was good enough for mid-round value in standard leagues. Atkinson was also one of the primary coaches who helped develop Lin during his Lin-sanity run with the Knicks back in 2012, so he could be in for a career-year.

Jahlil Okafor is reportedly the "most likely" Philadelphia big to be traded to Boston, should a trade go down.

The 76ers and Celtics have been in trade talks since draft night, and while Boston was initially higher on Nerlens Noel, their interest in Noel has dissipated after they picked up their team option on Amir Johnson. Boston management reportedly believes that Okafor could pair well with Al Horford, although they are concerned about Okafor's well documented off-court antics. Okafor's value wouldn't necessarily improve playing in Boston's loaded frontcourt, but sending Okafor away would open up minutes for Noel, Joel Embiid, and Ben Simmons.

Donatas Motiejunas said that he's been "working out," and his back has not been giving him any problems.

Motiejunas spent most of the 2015-16 season recovering from back surgery, but he's now reportedly 100 percent healthy and pursuing his next contract. "I talked to my agent today, in the morning, and he told me that he's been talking with the Rockets the last couple of days," Motiejunas said. "Both sides are talking and trying to get an agreement." Motiejunas said that his preference would be to return to Houston, but a larger contract from another team could change his mind.
