Dwight Howard (back) will not be ready for the Lakers first exhibition game.

No surprises here, although there is still no firm date for his return. This simply confirms what those around the team were already reporting, and fantasy owners need to plan for a conservative approach by the team. The original 6-7 month timetable will hit six months on October 20, and the regular season starts ten days after that. Howard's rehab has progressed to core strengthening, light running, and some shooting. He's a risky fantasy pick, but one that should ultimately pay dividends to owners.

Domantas Sabonis was terrific in the Pacers' tough Game 4 loss, hitting 9-of-12 shots for a team-high 19 points, six rebounds and one 3-pointer.

Sabonis was thrust into a bigger role with Myles Turner in foul trouble, and he rose to the occasion with strong play at both ends in 25 minutes of action. Victor Oladipo is cruising toward Most Improved Player honors, but let's not forget the leap made by the other guy Indiana acquired in the Paul George trade -- Sabonis improved in every facet of the game this season and gives Indy a safety net on nights like this when Myles Turner is limited.

Victor Oladipo shot just 5-of-20 from the field for 17 points on Sunday, adding six rebounds, five assists, three 3-pointers and two blocks in the Pacers' 104-100 defeat.

The Cavs didn't give Oladipo much breathing room offensively, and even when he did get clean looks they just weren't falling. One of his few makes was a lucky bank-shot on a 3-pointer, but on the plus side he sank 4-of-5 free throws with a relatively modest three turnovers -- he came in averaging 5.0 per game in the first round. Indiana ceded homecourt advantage with the loss, but fans of entertaining NBA games aren't complaining.
Apr 22 - 11:49 PM

Kevin Love picked up his second foul just 90 seconds into Sunday's game, which he finished with five points on 2-of-10 shooting, 11 rebounds, two steals and one block in 29 minutes.

Love is playing with a partially torn ligament in his left thumb. It hasn't cost him any time but he's struggled to make a consistent impact in the series. After attempting zero shots in the third quarter of Game 3, Love vowed to "find different ways to try and get the ball ... I need to go get it and just need to be more ... vocal in calling for it." His overall attempts dipped tonight but that was mostly due to the foul trouble, and the Cavs will continue to brainstorm ways to keep him engaged offensively.

LeBron James powered the Cavs to a Game 4 road win on Sunday, scoring 32 points (12-of-22 FGs, 8-of-9 FTs) with 13 rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and just one turnover in 46 minutes.

The series is knotted up at 2-2 with Game 5 coming in Cleveland on Wednesday. LeBron barely left the court tonight and every game he plays brings a deluge of amazing statistics that put his career into historical perspective. Tonight it was LBJ passing Hakeem Olajuwon for the 8th most double-doubles in NBA playoff history (101), while padding his lead for the most games leading a playoff team in points, rebounds and assists. He leads everyone in postseason DFS scoring this year, too, edging out Anthony Davis, and is basically a must-play regardless of cost.
Apr 22 - 11:43 PM

John Wall powered the Wizards to a series-tying Game 4 victory on Sunday, scoring 27 points with 14 assists, six rebounds and three steals in 44 minutes.

Tonight's line adds up to 60.2 fantasy points for Wall, according to the NBA's official scoring, which is just above his average of 58.9 per game in the postseason. That's third-best behind only LeBron James and Anthony Davis. He made 10-of-24 field goals and 7-of-10 free throws, and came up huge after Bradley Beal fouled out late in the fourth quarter of a tied game. It's safe to say Wall's surgically-repaired left knee isn't holding him back.
Apr 22 - 9:15 PM

Bradley Beal fouled out in the fourth quarter of Game 4, finishing with 31 points, five rebounds, five 3-pointers and two assists in 32 minutes.

It's the first time all season that Beal has fouled out of a game. The sixth foul was questionable and Beal was fuming afterward, but he managed to avoid a technical or the risk of further punishment from the league. He was cruising offensively with 10-of-19 field goals and 6-of-7 free throws, and the Wizards didn't hang their heads when he left -- instead, they looked fired up as they closed the game on a 14-6 run. Beal said he wants 20 shot attempts per game and we expect him to come out firing in Toronto on Wednesday.
Apr 22 - 9:13 PM

OG Anunoby played through a right ankle injury to finish Sunday's Game 4 defeat with four points on 2-of-3 shooting, two steals, one rebound and one assist in 22 minutes.

Marcin Gortat crashed into Anunoby just before halftime, forcing the rookie to limp into the locker room with trainers. He missed seven games in March due to a sprained right ankle, so it was encouraging to see him start the second half after getting re-taped. As a precaution, we'll list him as 'questionable' for Game 5 in Toronto on Wednesday.
Apr 22 - 9:09 PM

DeMar DeRozan made a career-high 14-of-18 free throws during Sunday's Game 4 loss, scoring 35 points with six rebounds, six assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes.

DeRozan only got to the free-throw line twice Game 3, yet he had 12 attempts by the end of the first quarter today. His ability to generate fouls usually pads his scoring numbers even when his shot is off, which is one reason he's such a stable DFS option. The home team has held serve in all four games of this series, a trend Toronto hopes to continue at Air Canada Centre on Wednesday.
Apr 22 - 9:08 PM

George Hill (back spasms) will not play in Game 4 vs. the Pacers, with Jose Calderon getting the start at PG.

Hill's MRI came back negative but he can't shake this injury, and the Cavs will have a 'next man up' mentality as they seek to avoid a 3-1 hole in the series. He said he's had four shots in his back but can still barely sleep, so it's uncertain if he'll be ready to return for Game 5 in Cleveland on Wednesday.
Apr 22 - 7:05 PM

Manu Ginobili was terrific during the Spurs' Game 4 victory, scoring 16 points (5-of-10 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs) with five assists, three rebounds and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes.

The veteran went down briefly after banging his knee late in the fourth quarter, but he continued to play and there's no way he's missing Game 5. This was simply the latest clutch performance in Manu's legendary career, and the victory gives Ginobili and Tony Parker 132 playoff wins as teammates -- that's the most in NBA history.
Apr 22 - 6:34 PM

Kevin Durant (ankle) led all scorers with 34 points on Sunday, going 12-of-28 from the field and 6-of-7 from the field with 13 rebounds, four 3-pointers, two assists and one block.

Durant tweaked his left ankle during Game 3 on Thursday but showed no signs of the injury tonight, playing 41 minutes in a rare postseason loss. He scored 13 points in the third quarter alone tonight and played all but two minutes of the fourth, helping him earn his 50th career postseason game with 30+ points. With Stephen Curry (knee) still out indefinitely, there will be offensive fireworks every time KD takes the court.
