Moe Harkless (hernia surgery) is expected to miss training camp.

It's probably not how the rookie wanted to start his first season after being traded from Philly to Orlando in the Dwight Howard blockbuster. Harkless had been dealing with a hip issue developed in summer league, and it's not clear when he sustained the hernia that required surgery to fix. Missing all of training camp would put him behind the learning curve on a young Orlando team. He should return to action by mid-November.

Robert Covington (knee, illness) will miss the next three games for the 76ers.

This means he will miss Monday's game vs. Denver and the two-game road trip against the Grizzlies and Pelicans. Based on this timetable, the earliest we would see Covington is on Dec. 11 against the Pistons, but that's not a lock either. Gerald Henderson and Nik Stauskas have been playing heavy minutes, while Hollis Thompson should be more involved as well.
Dec 5 - 11:49 AM

Paul Millsap (hip) is a game-time call on Monday vs. the Thunder.

Millsap has missed the last three games for the Hawks, but he's truly day-to-day and the Hawks didn't even feel the need to give him an MRI which is a very good sign. If Millsap is ultimately ruled out Monday, Mike Muscala could possibly make his second straight start at PF, but he won't be a great option outside of deeper leagues.
Dec 5 - 11:45 AM

Rajon Rondo has been suspended for Monday's game vs. the Blazers.

He's being suspended for "conduct detrimental to the team," but that's all we know at this point. With Rondo out, Jerian Grant will likely get the chance to start and play big minutes, while Isaiah Canaan and Denzel Valentine should get a bump as well. In two previous starts this season, Grant posted averages of 12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 3.5 steals and 1.0 triple in 30.0 minutes.
Dec 5 - 11:43 AM

Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will not play on Monday vs. the Wizards.

Bayless hopes to avoid season-ending surgery, as he wants to see how his wrist responds to his recent platelet-rich plasma injection. With Bayless out, Sergio Rodriguez will draw another start and will be a nice source of assists, while T.J. McConnell will handle the backup duties. For now, Bayless is day-to-day and is only a hold in very deep leagues.
Dec 5 - 11:41 AM

Jahlil Okafor (gastroenteritis) is questionable for Monday's game vs. Denver.

Okafor has been playing well of late. He has scored in double-figures in five straight games and over the Sixers last four contests, Okafor is averaging 15.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.0 block. Joel Embiid is going to play on Monday night, but will sit out (rest) on Tuesday. Thus, if Okafor is not close to 100%, the Sixers may choose to hold him out on Monday in hopes he recovers in time for Tuesday's contest, when they will be sans Embiid.
Dec 5 - 11:38 AM

Trevor Booker (illness) will play on Monday vs. the Wizards.

Dec 5 - 11:37 AM

Joel Embiid will play vs. the Nuggets on Monday and will sit out against the Grizzlies on Tuesday.

Embiid's minute restriction has been bumped up to 28 minutes, and the Sixers will likely need all 28 on Monday, as Jahlil Okafor (gastroenteritis) is questionable and Robert Covington (left knee, flu symptoms) is out. Embiid has been incredibly productive despite limited minutes all season and will be heavily owned in all DFS formats on Monday.
Dec 5 - 11:36 AM

Celtics reporter A. Sherrod Blakely believes the team will go after Andrew Bogut before the trade deadline.

The Celtics could use some additional rim protection to partner with Al Horford, and Bogut should be readily available -- he's on the last year of his deal and the Mavs are rebuilding. Bogut's long-term fantasy outlook would get a bump in Boston because his owners wouldn't have to worry about frequent maintenance days and the shut-down risk if he remains in Dallas. For what it's worth, Blakely believes the Celtics would need to trade Amir Johnson and a future first-round pick to make the deal worth it for Dallas.

Matt Barnes is wanted by the NYPD for questioning after he allegedly choked a woman inside a nightclub early Monday morning.

After he allegedly choked the woman, Barnes reportedly punched two other people who tried to intervene. Barnes left the scene before the cops showed up, but the NBA and Kings will likely investigate this along with the NYPD -- the Kings were in town after Sunday's meeting with the Knicks. It's worth noting that DeMarcus Cousins was shown in the video after the incident, but it's not clear if he was involved in any way. If the allegations are true, Barnes is going to be in hot water.

Dec 5 - 9:39 AM

Zach Randolph (personal) has been ruled out for Monday's game vs. the Pelicans.

This will be his seventh game in a row away from the team as he's still on bereavement leave for the loss of his mother. JaMychal Green is a lock to play over 30 minutes Monday, while Jarell Martin will remain in the rotation until Z-Bo returns. Green is coming off a 16-point, 13-rebound performance against the Lakers with three blocks.
Dec 5 - 9:18 AM

Vince Carter (hip) will not play on Monday vs. the Pelicans.

This will be his fourth game in a row on the shelf. The Grizzlies will only have nine players available Monday, so Troy Williams and Troy Daniels will both see heavy minutes on the wings. Daniels may be the better dart throw in DFS after erupting for 31 points against the Lakers in his last outing.
