Wolves guard Malcolm Lee (groin) did not practice on Friday.

Lee is buried on the depth chart and even if Brandon Roy's knees go out, he has a long way to go before he'll have any fantasy value.

Brandon Jennings will move into the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cavs, with Derrick Rose (back) unavailable.

Per-36 minutes this season, Jennings is averaging 11.6 points, 8.6 dimes, 4.4 boards, 1.7 steals and 1.7 triples per contest, so he's certainly on the radar as a potential DFS punt play or streamer option with a favorable matchup against the Cavs.
Dec 7 - 6:17 PM

Derrick Rose (sore lower back) will be unavailable for Wednesday's game against the Cavs.

He said he had back spasms on Tuesday, but also said his side, leg and everything was fatigued. He's also going to get an MRI to make sure everything is OK. Considering Rose's injury history and lengthy time to recover, he's likely looking at more games out of the lineup. Brandon Jennings should get a boost in playing time and is worth a look for his short-term boost. Ron Baker should also be in the rotation tonight.
Dec 7 - 6:15 PM

Amir Johnson will start and Jonas Jerebko will move to the bench against the Magic on Wednesday.

This makes sense to go with a bigger frontcourt against the Magic. Johnson may also see a bump in playing time because the Celtics won't go with as many three-guard lineups with Jae Crowder at the four. He's still a risky player to use tonight and doesn't have much value once Isaiah Thomas (groin) comes back.
Dec 7 - 5:39 PM

Marcus Smart will start for Isaiah Thomas (groin) against the Magic on Wednesday.

This was very obvious all day, but it's official now. Smart has been coming off the bench and has seen his minutes drop since Jae Crowder and Al Horford have been back. He may not run the offense quite as much, but Smart should see minutes in the mid 30s and add across-the-board production. He'll get a nice short-term boost while Thomas is on the shelf. Expect to see more minutes for Terry Rozier tonight, as well.
Dec 7 - 5:36 PM

Reggie Jackson will start Wednesday vs. the Hornets.

There was some fear that Jackson would be rested on the second game of this back-to-back set, but he only played 18 minutes on Tuesday, so he should be closer to the mid-20s tonight. Go ahead and fire him up.
Dec 7 - 5:34 PM

E'Twaun Moore (toe) is being listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the 76ers.

Moore sat out Monday's game, and it's not a great sign that he's still being listed as questionable despite having just had a full three days off to rest up. We should have another update following Thursday morning's shootaround, but if he's out, Buddy Hield will have another opportunity to start with Langston Galloway flirting with 30 minutes off the bench. Stay tuned.
Dec 7 - 5:32 PM

Vince Carter (hip) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Blazers.

He's been ruled out the day before each of the last three games, so this is a step in the right direction. The Grizzlies have won each of their last four without Carter with guys like Troy Williams and Troy Daniels stepping up. If Carter does return, that may take some minutes from the Troys and maybe from Tony Allen, as well. Carter is not worth owning in most leagues.
Dec 7 - 5:02 PM

Larry Nance (knee) will be available to play Wednesday vs. the Rockets.

He should resume his 20-minute reserve role, which will take away some minutes from Julius Randle. Nance has been a sneaky top-75 guy in 9-cat leagues this season with averages of 7.7 points, 5.8 boards, 1.2 steals and just 0.6 turnovers per game on 60.0 percent shooting from the field, so feel free to get him active.
Dec 7 - 1:07 PM

Jrue Holiday (turf toe) said his recovery has been going well, but it's still too early to tell if he'll be able to play Thursday vs. the 76ers.

Holiday also said that a turf toe injury can be "excruciating," and if he could walk on his hands he would, so he's looking doubtful for Thursday's matchup with the 76ers. If he's out, Tim Frazier will benefit most operating as New Orleans' starting point guard. Stay tuned.
Dec 7 - 12:55 PM

D'Angelo Russell (knee) will not play Wednesday or Friday and is unlikely to play on Sunday.

He is going to increase his workload this week with basketball activities. Russell is feeling better and it sounds like he'll be back at some point next week. Until then, Marcelo Huertas will be in the mix while Lou Williams will look to continue his hot streak. Jordan Clarkson has struggled, but he's likely to get an increased opportunity. Brandon Ingram will also have more ball-handling responsibility.
Dec 7 - 12:52 PM

Seth Curry (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Kings.

With Curry and J.J. Barea (calf) on the sidelines Wednesday night, Deron Williams will likely see his minutes in the high-30s, with Devin Haris seeing close to 20 minutes off the bench. For now, we'll be considering Curry questionable for Friday's game against the Pacers.
