Point guard Kyle Lowry won't play in any of the Raptors' three preseason games this week as he rehabs a strained adductor muscle (groin) and there is no timetable for his return.

That is obviously a lot worse than the "sore leg" we originally heard about and could easily be an aggravation of the injury that helped to ruin his season last year. This is a bummer for one of the league's most exciting fantasy point guards and we can simply hope the injury goes away by the start of the real games. If the injury does linger, Jose Calderon is going to be back in the spotlight for the Raps.

Tyler Johnson (migraine) may not be able to play against the Blazers on Wednesday.

He's not at the arena yet, so it sounds like he's closer to doubtful than anything else. If he's out, that should mean Wayne Ellington will see minutes in the 20s while the rest of the perimeter players also pick up a could extra minutes as well. Ellington is on the board as a DFS punt while Josh Richardson, Dion Waiters and Goran Dragic are all more appealing today, too.
Dec 13 - 5:56 PM

General manager Ryan McDonough said the Suns are hoping to get Devin Booker (groin) back before the Dec. 29 game against Sacramento.

He could be ready to face Memphis on Dec. 26, but Booker will have to go through a practice first. The Suns are really going to have a tough time winning any games with Booker out of the lineup, but they did only lose by 10 points combined in the last two. Josh Jackson has picked up some extra run while Tyler Ulis, Mike James and Troy Daniels have been asked to step up.
Dec 13 - 5:50 PM

Kyrie Irving (quad) will play Wednesday vs. the Nuggets.

Irving should be busy on the offensive end with Al Horford (rest) taking the night off, and with a favorable matchup against the Nuggets, he's certainly someone to consider throwing out there in daily leagues. Get him active.
Dec 13 - 5:49 PM

Marcus Smart will start for Al Horford (rest) against the Nuggets on Wednesday.

The Celtics will go with their smaller lineup to guard Jamal Murray and Gary Harris. Smart should be looking at minutes in the 30s during this game with most of them coming next to Kyrie Irving, so there should be a decent amount of minutes for Terry Rozier in the second unit.
Dec 13 - 5:45 PM

John Wall (knee) is expected to play minutes in the mid 20s against the Grizzlies on Wednesday.

He's been going through some on-court work since the weekend, but the Wizards certainly don't want to rush Wall back. With him returning, Tomas Satoransky is still expected to play and could get minutes on the wing. Bradley Beal and Otto Porter will also have some help after getting extra usage. Get Wall in your lineup for season long, but he's probably not a reliable play in DFS.
Dec 13 - 5:31 PM

Ian Mahinmi (sore right knee) will be a game-time call for Wednesday's matchup with Memphis.

Mahinmi sat out Tuesday's game with the knee issue, but the good news is that he had an MRI this afternoon that came back negative, so he's just dealing with anything all that serious. If Mahinmi is forced to miss his second game in a row on Wednesday, there will be more minutes available for Jason Smith and Mike Scott, but that means very little in fantasy hoops.
Dec 13 - 5:27 PM

Wesley Iwundu will start for Arron Afflalo on Wednesday against the Clippers.

He'll join Elfrid Payton, Jonathon Simmons, Mario Hezonja and Nikola Vucevic in the first unit. Iwundu looked pretty good on Saturday with his seven points and he should be able to get in the 26-30 range tonight. He probably won't be lighting it up in the scoring column, but he's an option as a punt because the Magic are so shorthanded. Expect Shelvin Mack and D.J. Augustin to get some wing minutes, as well.
Dec 13 - 5:25 PM

Darren Collison (knee) and Cory Joseph (shoulder) will play Wednesday vs. the Thunder.

Collison will be returning from a one-game absence, which should send Joseph back to the bench. Collison hasn't played that well over the past few weeks, so he's not a great DFS target with a tough matchup against Russell Westbrook of the Thunder. Season-long owners can go ahead and get him active, though.
Dec 13 - 5:24 PM

Arron Afflalo (back) will not play against the Clippers on Wednesday.

He didn't sound like he was going to play, so this was expected. With him out, the Magic are probably going to have to roll with more of their two-PG lineups with Shelvin Mack and D.J. Augustin. It's also possible Wes Iwundu gets in the starting lineup and could play minutes in the upper 20s. Iwundu probably won't be a usage monster, but give him a look as a DFS punt.
Dec 13 - 5:21 PM

John Collins (shoulder) is probable for Thursday against the Pistons.

He suffered his shoulder injury on Nov. 30, so he is going to be on the very front end of his 2-3 week timeline. Collins was starting at center just before his shoulder injury and he should almost certainly be back in that role again on Thursday. As long as he keeps his fouls down, Collins should produce in standard fantasy leagues, so go ahead and grab him.
Dec 13 - 4:39 PM

Isaiah Canaan will be available for Wednesday against the Raptors.

He was added to the roster from the injury hardship exception. The Suns are gutted at shooting guard and have had to play Josh Jackson and their undersized point guards out of position at times. It wouldn't be a shock to see Canaan get minutes, but obviously it's tough to count on Canaan unless you're in a super deep league.
