Jose Calderon left Friday's exhibition against the Pistons due to left hamstring tightness and did not return.

Even with the notoriously injury-prone Calderon, we'll need to hear more before assuming this is serious (we're already hearing that he was pulled so adversary Rodney Stuckey wouldn't pummel him on the court). While Kyle Lowry's groin injury is trending toward being less serious, Calderon should be watched closely for the chance that Lowry can't get himself right. Should the both of them struggle to stay on the court, then newly acquired John Lucas would have some short-term appeal.

Larry Nance (knee) will be available to play Wednesday vs. the Rockets.

He should resume his 20-minute reserve role, which will take away some minutes from Julius Randle. Nance has been a sneaky top-75 guy in 9-cat leagues this season with averages of 7.7 points, 5.8 boards, 1.2 steals and just 0.6 turnovers per game on 60.0 percent shooting from the field, so feel free to get him active.
Dec 7 - 1:07 PM

Jrue Holiday (turf toe) said his recovery has been going well, but it's still too early to tell if he'll be able to play Thursday vs. the 76ers.

Holiday also said that a turf toe injury can be "excruciating," and if he could walk on his hands he would, so he's looking doubtful for Thursday's matchup with the 76ers. If he's out, Tim Frazier will benefit most operating as New Orleans' starting point guard. Stay tuned.
Dec 7 - 12:55 PM

D'Angelo Russell (knee) will not play Wednesday or Friday and is unlikely to play on Sunday.

He is going to increase his workload this week with basketball activities. Russell is feeling better and it sounds like he'll be back at some point next week. Until then, Marcelo Huertas will be in the mix while Lou Williams will look to continue his hot streak. Jordan Clarkson has struggled, but he's likely to get an increased opportunity. Brandon Ingram will also have more ball-handling responsibility.
Dec 7 - 12:52 PM

Seth Curry (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Kings.

With Curry and J.J. Barea (calf) on the sidelines Wednesday night, Deron Williams will likely see his minutes in the high-30s, with Devin Haris seeing close to 20 minutes off the bench. For now, we'll be considering Curry questionable for Friday's game against the Pacers.
Dec 7 - 12:18 PM

Luke Babbitt (strained right hip flexor) will not play Wednesday vs. the Hawks.

Miami will again be without Dion Waiters (groin), Justise Winslow (wrist), James Johnson (rotator cuff) and Josh Richardson (ankle, wrist), so Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside should again dominate the offensive possessions with Tyler Johnson and Wayne Ellington also seeing some increased opportunity. Babbitt is not traveling with the team, so he'll miss Friday and Saturday's game as well.
Dec 7 - 12:00 PM

Andrew Bogut (right knee bone bruise) said he could miss anywhere from 10 days to 3-4 weeks.

Bogut tends to be a slow healer, and he was initially given a 2-week timetable, so it's extremely unlikely we see him back on the court in 10 days, particularly with Dallas sitting on a 4-16 record. On the season, Bogut has only produced 14th round value in standard 9-cat leagues with averages of 3.8 points, 10.3 boards, 2.2 assists and 0.9 blocks per contest, so he's not really worth hanging onto in standard leagues. Dwight Powell should benefit most in Bogut's absence.
Dec 7 - 11:54 AM

Frank Kaminsky will likely return to the bench for Wednesday's game against the Pistons.

Marvin Williams (knee) is expected to return to the court tonight, and he'll resume his spot in the starting five sending Kaminsky back to the bench. Kaminsky basically only had one solid game as a starter, and his value will take a pretty massive hit with the demotion to the second unit. Feel free to move on if you picked him up for his shot-term value sans Williams.
Dec 7 - 11:42 AM

Nikola Jokic (wrist) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Nets.

Head coach Michael Malone said that the Nuggets will be taking a cautious approach in bringing back Jokic, so if there's any doubt about the health of his wrist, he'll likely be spending Wednesday's game on the sidelines. He's likely headed for a game-time call, but if he is able to return to the court tonight, Kenneth Faried's minutes will likely take a hit.
Dec 7 - 11:30 AM

Tim Hardaway Jr. will move into the starting unit for Atlanta's next two games with Kent Bazemore (knee) on the shelf.

Hardaway Jr. tends to be inconsistent, although he has managed to produce late-round value over his past four outings with averages of 14.8 points, 2.3 dimes, 1.0 steal and 1.5 triples per contest on 48.0 percent shooting. The move into the starting five will only help him, but with relatively low upside, he's basically only worth a speculative add in deep leagues.
Dec 7 - 11:28 AM

Kent Bazemore (right knee soreness) has been ruled out for Atlanta's next two games, and Tim Hardaway Jr. will be drawing the start in his place.

This puts Bazemore on the sidelines for both Wednesday's game against the Heat, as well as Friday's game against the Bucks, but he should be able to return to the court for next Tuesday's game against the Magic. Bazemore has been struggling mightily over the past few weeks, so hopefully the time off to rest his knee will help him get things back on track. Hardaway Jr. is really inconsistent; so he's not really worth a standard league add.
Dec 7 - 11:17 AM

Marcus Smart will likely move into the starting unit for Wednesday's game against the Magic with Isiah Thomas (groin) unavailable.

Smart was spotted in a starters jersey at shootaround, so he'll very likely be drawing the start tonight. In his previous five starts this season, Smart has compiled averages of 10.0 points, 4.2 boards, 4.0 assists, 1.4 triples, 2.4 steals and just 1.4 turnovers per game, so he's certainly on the radar in daily leagues. Terry Rozier should also see a decent uptick in minutes off the bench.
