Latest Headlines

Klay Thompson (face/head) will start against the Kings on Monday.

Thompson took a blow to the head after a hard fall on Saturday, but his status was never really in doubt. Use him like you normally would.

Kevin Durant scored 28 points with five rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and four 3-pointers in 32 minutes during an easy 112-80 win over the Thunder onSaturday.

Well, the Warriors are back with two impressive wins to start their second half. Their schedule gets extremely soft going forward with several games against Eastern Conference cellar-dwelling teams and they play the Suns three times. From a fantasy perspective, the best news for the Warriors is they're tied with the Rockets for the No. 1 seed, so that should force Steve Kerr's hand to some degree to play his studs.
Feb 24 - 11:13 PM

Paul George made just 1-of-14 from the field for five points with six rebounds, three assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes against the Warriors on Saturday.

Yikes. George lit up the Warriors back on Feb. 6 with his 38 points in a big win at Oracle, but he was in bizarro world today. The Thunder struggled to get their offense going early with PG and Russell Westbrook failing to get into a rhythm. George was one of the hottest players in fantasy hoops before this dud, so expect him to rebound against the Magic on Monday.
Feb 24 - 10:57 PM

Kyrie Irving took over during a 121-112 win at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, scoring 31 points with nine rebounds, eight assists, two steals and six 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

Make that the 17th time he's hit 30 points this season thanks to his 15-point third quarter on 116.7 eFG% in that frame. The Celtics seem to be back with two solid wins in the second half after they were slipping on defense entering the All-Star break. With just a 0.5 game deficit behind the Raptors, it's hard to imagine Kyrie resting before April.
Feb 24 - 10:43 PM

Trey Burke went off yet again during a 121-112 loss to the Celtics on Saturday, matching a season-high 26 points with eight assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes.

He just scored 26 points on Thursday and is suddenly one of the hottest bench players in the NBA. Burke's shot selection has still been all over the place and this hot stretch is based on him making jumpers, which is a usually a strong indicator that it's not sustainable. That aside, it's kind of hard to argue back-to-back 26-point games on a team lacking offensive punch, so Burke is worth an add in 12-team leagues to see if he keeps it going. Although, his prospective owners shouldn't have high expectations.
Feb 24 - 10:29 PM

Rondae Hollis-Jeffereson said he's ready to return on Monday, but he will not be starting.

He is also going to be coming back with a minutes limit. The Nets are very careful with their injured players, so it may be another week before RHJ is finals grooving again. He's still someone most fantasy owners should have in their lineup.

Josh Richardson scored 15 points with three rebounds, one assist, no turnovers, one 3-pointer and five steals during a 115-89 win over the Grizzlies on Saturday.

That's back-to-back games with five steals for J-Rich and he becomes the only player in the NBA with that occurrence multiple times within the last year (April 2017). The only other players with even one multiple-game streak of five-plus steals are Victor Oladipo and Robert Covington (Basketball Reference). Richardson continues to just smash his ADP and he's probably going to be on a lot of winning fantasy teams this season.
Feb 24 - 10:08 PM

Andrew Harrison scored 17 points with four rebounds, six assists and two turnovers during a 115-89 loss in Miami on Saturday.

He tends to play well when Tyreke Evans is out and that was the case in this one. Evans is getting an MRI on Sunday and the Grizzlies have a ticket to the lottery, so it's certainly possible Harrison gets the reins to the offense for several games. He should be added in most leagues.
Feb 24 - 9:58 PM

De'Aaron Fox, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Justin Jackson, Zach Randolph and Willie Cauley-Stein will start against the Lakers on Saturday.

Fox was probable for his pink eye illness this week, so the Kings have been expecting him to play all day. He should have carte blanche in the offense and could have a strong run to close out his rookie season.
Feb 24 - 9:24 PM

Joel Embiid scored 28 points with 14 rebounds, one assist, one block and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes against the Magic during a 116-105 win.

Coach Brett Brown left his second unit in down the stretch in the fourth quarter despite the Magic cutting a big lead to as little as nine with 2:15 left. After the game, Embiid said he is planning on playing in the back-to-back set against the Wizards on Sunday, so he should be all set for that one. As for his team, they're the hottest team in the Eastern Conference, they've won seven straight, and they're the healthiest they've been in years. It's certainly possible they can earn a top-four seed.
Feb 24 - 7:55 PM

Dirk Nowitzki (back) is expected to play on Saturday against the Jazz.

This is a surprise after Dirk had a back issue in the fourth quarter on Friday. This speaks volumes to how Dirk may want to play as many games as he can, so this is terrific news for his fantasy owners.
Feb 24 - 7:48 PM

Jimmy Butler (knee) is expected to undergo surgery in coming days and could return within 4-6 weeks, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports.

Typically, a 4-6 week timeline is tied to a medial meniscectomy, so that may be what Butler has planned -- lateral or medial has not been specified yet. This basically rules Butler out until April, so his fantasy owners will have to figure out how important their next 4-6 weeks are. Dropping him is an option while adding Nemanja Bjelica makes sense.
