Shawn Marion left Monday's game in the fourth quarter with a left knee strain and did not return.

Marion finishes with eight points on 4-of-6 shooting in 24 minutes of action, including seven rebounds, three assists, one steal, and two blocks. The AP took a stab at assessing the injury in saying it didn't appear serious, but the beat writers haven't said anything other than that there is no news to report. If Marion misses time it would make sense that Jae Crowder starts while Vince Carter continues to come off the bench, but that's getting a bit ahead of the story at this time.

X-rays were negative on Milos Teodosic (foot) and he will have an MRI Sunday morning.

The good news is there doesn't appear to be a clear fracture in his foot, so maybe he dodged a bullet in what has been a nightmare start to the season regarding injuries. If you want to think positive, maybe his injury will be like Rodney Hood, who is day-to-day. While he's out, Austin Rivers, Lou Williams and Pat Beverley will pick up extra minutes.

Jusuf Nurkic scored 17 points on 7-of-17 shooting during Saturday's narrow loss to the Bucks, to go with 11 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two turnovers in 32 minutes.

Nurkic hasn't shot a great percentage through the first three games of the year, as he's been uncharacteristically inaccurate from under the basket, converting on just 33.3 percent of his attempts at the rim. However, there's really no way that trend will continue, and the fact that he's been working with a 30.7 usage rate this season is very encouraging regarding his rest of season outlook. This was his best game so far, but there's still some room to buy-low here.

Evan Turner was productive in his 33 minutes off the bench Saturday, tallying 11 points, seven assists, two boards, one steal, one 3-pointer and two turnovers in a loss to the Bucks.

Turner was the first sub off the bench, and he did a really nice job of helping facilitate the offense while C.J. McCollum or Damian Lillard worked off the ball. His minutes are up this year, which is a trend that should hold with Allen Crabbe no longer a part of the equation, so the stars are aligned for a bounce-back year after a pretty disastrous 2016-17 campaign. Turner won't be much more than a late-round guy, but it looks like he'll be worth owning in competitive 12-team leagues.

Giannis Antetokounmpo bulldozed his way to a career-high 44 points in Saturday's 113-110 win over Portland, adding eight boards, four dimes, two steals, one block, one triple and two turnovers in 39 minutes.

Not only did The Greek Freak set a new career-high in this one, but he also came through with two huge defensive stops within the final 30 seconds of the game to truly seal the deal for Milwaukee. Antetokounmpo's freakish combination of size and athleticism has allowed him to dominate in the paint, with 76 of his 115 points through the first three games of the year coming from directly under the bucket on 80.9 percent shooting. He'll be on a lot of championship squads this season.
Oct 22 - 12:40 AM

James Johnson scored 14 points in the starting lineup against the Pacers during a 112-108 win on Saturday, adding four rebounds, eight assists, five blocks and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes.

The black-belted forward had a violent jam on Victor Oladipo in this game to make his case for dunk of the year (video in link below). As for his role, coach Erik Spoelstra showed last year that he'll use Johnson off the bench or in the starting lineup, but basically the results will be the same at the end of the day. Last year was no fluke.

Marc Gasol made a career-high 16-of-17 free throws in 36 minutes vs. the Warriors on Saturday, finishing with 34 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal.

Marc Gasol made a career-high 16-of-17 free throws in 36 minutes vs. the Warriors on Saturday, finishing with 34 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal. Zaza Pachulia couldn't handle him and he worked over the Warriors' small lineups all night long. Gasol was limited this preseason by an ankle injury he sustained while playing for Spain in EuroBasket, which may have caused his ADP to slip a bit, but the 32-year-old has looked great while helping Memphis earn a 2-0 start this season. He's a lock for top-40 value when healthy.
Oct 21 - 11:23 PM

Kevin Durant posted 29 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, three blocks, one steal and four 3-pointers on Saturday, before being ejected for arguing with the refs.

Durant was coming to the defense of teammate Steph Curry, who had just been tossed for throwing his mouthpiece, and there's no reason to think he'll face further punishment. He's cruising along with the elite value his owners expected on draft day, including a stunning 14 blocks through three games. Since the 2013-14 season, only Durant (this year) and DeMarcus Cousins (last year) have had three consecutive games with at least 20 points, three blocks and two 3-pointers.
Oct 21 - 11:15 PM

DeMar DeRozan wasn't bothered by an illness during a 128-96 win over the 76ers on Saturday, scoring 30 points with three rebounds, three assists and one turnover in 27 minutes.

He had Robert Covington off balance all game and was able to get to the line 16 times in this win -- he's only taken one 3-pointer all season. DeRozan did have a rough start with just 11 points on Thursday, but he's clearly capable of scoring 30 against any opponent. He'll get a look at the Spurs in San Antonio on Monday.
Oct 21 - 10:57 PM

Stephen Curry was ejected from Saturday's game for throwing his mouthpiece toward a referee on a non-call late in the fourth quarter.

Curry should face a stiff fine from the league for this one, but it's unlikely he'll get a suspension -- as a precaution, owners should still confirm his status prior to Monday's game in Dallas. Prior to exiting, Curry lit up the Grizzlies for 37 points on 9-of-17 FGs and 13-of-13 FTs, with six 3-pointers, six rebounds, three assists and two turnovers in just 30 minutes.
Oct 21 - 10:57 PM

Serge Ibaka scored 21 points with five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and five 3-pointers in 25 minutes against the 76ers on Saturday.

The 76ers kept leaving him over and he kept burying treys. The Raptors really want to add more 3-pointers to their offensive game plan, so Ibaka could be in for a career year in that department. In the two games so far, he hasn't played any minutes at center, so he likely won't see his role change with the injury to Jonas Valanciunas.
Oct 21 - 10:52 PM

Delon Wright scored 14 points with five rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes against the 76ers on Saturday.

This is not a garbage time special. Wright has looked like a top-three backup point guard so far this year, and he continues to get minutes at shooting guard. He can rack up the defensive stats and it feels like he has 24 minutes in the bag, so he's worth a very long look in standard leagues.
