The NBA is reviewing a confrontation between DeMarcus Cousins and Spurs' announcer Sean Elliott, which occurred after Saturday's game.

This is a classic example of Cousins' poor decision-making -- he was upset with comments Elliott made about him during the game, so he walked back onto the court in his uniform, waited until Elliott wrapped up his postgame show, then verbally confronted him at mid-court. It's doubtful the NBA will do more than levy a fine, but this is a great reminder of Cousins' combustability.

LeBron James made 8-of-12 from the field and 8-of-10 from the line for 27 points during an easy 116-86 Game 3 victory over the Celtics on Saturday, adding five rebounds, 12 assists, two steals, two blocks and two steals in 38 minutes.

The Cavs had a double-digit lead for 42 minutes during this wire-to-wire victory, but LeBron stayed in the game until 6:49 with the Cavs up 30 -- their biggest lead of the night. He's never been down 0-3 in a playoff series and that's still true after the Cavs were run out of Boston to start this series. LeBron cited the defense in this win, but he didn't mention that the Celtics weren't as locked in as they were in the first two. The Celtics still haven't lost a postseason game at home in these playoffs, so the Cavs will have some work to do even if they can hold serve at The Q on Monday.

Coach Brad Stevens said that Shane Larkin (shoulder) is with the team in Cleveland but will not play in Games 3 and 4 and is unlikely to return this series.

Earlier in the week, Stevens said that Larkin was "progressing well" and that he was able to do some running, but still had some discomfort catching and swinging the ball. With Larkin sideline, Terry Rozier and Marcus Smart will continue to log extended minutes.

Trae Young said he has put on 10 pounds of muscle in five weeks.

He's not even in the league yet and he already has #MuscleWatch going. Young is one of the best scorers in the draft after leading the NCAA in points and dimes per game, but he did only register a 6'3" wingspan as one of the smallest players in the draft. He's met with the Bulls, Knicks and others, and there's almost no doubt he'll be going in the top 10.

Luka Doncic scored 16 points in a EuroLeague semifinal against CSKA Moscow on Friday, adding seven rebounds, two assists and three turnovers.

He set the tempo in the first half, and showed he can score in isolation and off a ball screen. Doncic is already one of the most talented players in Europe and he's still just 19 years old. It's still not a total lock he'll be coming over this year and he likely won't say anything concrete until next month, but his agent said yesterday Doncic hasn't thought about a particular team yet. He's almost a lock to go in the top three.

DeMarcus Cousins says his rehab is going great and that he is "shooting to be ready for training camp."

Cousins underwent successful surgery to repair his torn left Achilles in late January. He says he has been cleared to rehab six days a week. "The results have been good so far — well, not even good, great," said Cousins. "I didn’t lose much strength. It’s a lot of positives. Like I said, everything’s been great and it’s in the right direction." Cousins, who will hit free agency this summer, also said that he would be open to returning to New Orleans.

Michael Porter Jr. said he's "fully healed" from his back injury and that he feels 100 percent.

On Nov. 22, Porter had a successful microdiscectomy of his L3-L4 spinal discs, which kept him to just three games as a freshman at Missouri. Porter was widely viewed as a top-three player in the draft coming into the year thanks to a prototype frame with a seven-foot wingspan on his 6'10" body, but he does have his injury concerns. He'll likely be going in the top 10.

Donte DiVincenzo posted a 42-inch max vertical leap at the combine on Thursday.

That's tied for the highest max vert on Thursday (Josh Okogie), and DiVincenzo currently is in the lead for standing vert at 34.5". He also looked good early in the scrimmages today, but being a little undersized likely takes him out of the lottery. The reigning Most Outstanding Player in the NCAA tourney has helped himself since March.
May 17 - 6:44 PM

Grayson Allen posted a 40.5-inch max vertical leap at the combine on Thursday.

He also had an elite shuttle run at 3.04 seconds and was very good in the lane agility drill at 10.31. Allen did only have a 32.5-inch standing vert, but he's still putting up better numbers than expected and even mentioned his comparison to J.J. Redick. "I don’t think J.J. jumped 40 inches," Allen said. The four-year Duke guard is likely going to be an option in the 25-45 range.

Mohamed Bamba set an NBA combine record with a 7'10" wingspan.

For context, Rudy Gobert was the previous record holder with a 7'8" wingspan. Bamba measured in at 7' 0.75" in shoes with a ridiculous standing reach of 9' 7.5". It's easy to see why the freshman out of Texas swatted 3.7 shots with 10.5 rebounds a game. He might be moving up some draft boards after this and is a projected top-10 pick.

Robert Covington underwent successful surgery to repair the extensor tendon in his left middle finger.

He suffered the injury back on Dec. 28, so Covington has been dealing with this for several months. This was a minor procedure and Covington will be re-evaluated in three weeks to determine if he can resume basketball activities. Covington was a letdown in the Boston series, but he'll be a key piece of the puzzle for the 76ers in 2018-19 for his perimeter defense and floor spacing.

The Pelicans are counting on Cheick Diallo to become an "impact player" for them in 2018-19.

"[We] saw flashes of Cheick Diallo this year," Pelicans GM Dell Demps said. "We're hoping those guys (Diallo and Frank Jackson) can be impact players for us next year. The potential is definitely there, the work ethic is there." Demps added that Diallo will play in the Summer League and that the Pelicans will find a way to integrate him into their plans. He averaged 6.9 points and 6.1 rebounds in his final 19 games of the season, stepping up in the absence of DeMarcus Cousins. His fantasy outlook for 2018-19 hinges on what the Pelicans do with Boogie Cousins in free agency.
