The NBA is reviewing a confrontation between DeMarcus Cousins and Spurs' announcer Sean Elliott, which occurred after Saturday's game.

This is a classic example of Cousins' poor decision-making -- he was upset with comments Elliott made about him during the game, so he walked back onto the court in his uniform, waited until Elliott wrapped up his postgame show, then verbally confronted him at mid-court. It's doubtful the NBA will do more than levy a fine, but this is a great reminder of Cousins' combustability.

Jaylen Brown (hip) is good to go for Game 5 against the Cavs on Thursday.

He did wince a little at shootaround, so he's not 100 percent. Brown played 20 minutes in Game 4 and just 13 in Game 3, so he's likely looking at minutes in the teens for today. The Celtics will likely have a similar nine-man rotation today.

Zaza Pachulia (heel) went through a full practice on Thursday.

He has another week to get healthy and should be ready to roll for Game 1 at home. Pachulia actually leads the Warriors for net rating in the playoffs with his +28.4, which is a testament to how much the starters are dominating. He has missed the last two games to give JaVale McGee, Pat McCaw and David West get some added run.

According to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, "most everyone associated with the Bulls" believes that Dwyane Wade will pick up his player option.

Wade will be 36 in January and is scheduled to make $23.8 million in 2017-18, so that's going to be hard to walk away from. He played a career-low 29.9 minutes with the Bulls and there's even some talk about him moving to the second unit if he remains in Chicago -- Wade said during his exit meeting that he would be "open" to the idea if it's the best thing for the team. His decision on his player option is due by June 27.

Danny Ainge said that Lonzo Ball told the Celtics that he will not work out for them prior to the draft.

Wow. Ball must be really confident that Markelle Fultz is going to be the No. 1 pick or he just really wants to play for the Lakers. Lonzo's father, LaVar, previously said that his son will only work out for the Lakers who own the No. 2 pick, but he later walked back those comments. The Lakers are in the process of scheduling a workout with the UCLA guard according to Magic Johnson, so he better hope he impresses because his father is burning a lot of bridges. For what it's worth, Johnson and Lakers GM Rob Pelinka said that LaVar won't factor into their decision.

Kentucky G Hamidou Diallo has withdrawn from the NBA Draft.

Adrian Wojnarowski reports that "several teams in the 20s were serious about selecting Diallo," but he couldn't get a guarantee. Another strong season with the Wildcats could position him as a lottery pick in the 2018 draft.
May 25 - 12:06 AM

Jaylen Brown (right hip pointer) is questionable for Game 5 on Thursday.

He's been a key piece to the Celtics these days, especially with Isaiah Thomas (hip) out for the season. Brown played 20 minutes in Game 4 and he's likely looking at more minutes, assuming he's healthy enough to go. If he can't go at home, there should be more big-ball lineups with Jonas Jerebko while Kelly Olynyk may play more.

Jae Crowder strained his left thigh in Tuesday's Game 4 loss to the Cavaliers, but he said after the game that he's "fine."

Crowder went back to the locker room for a few minutes, but quickly returned and appeared to be moving around OK. He was effective on offense with 18 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four 3-pointers in 40 minutes, but he didn't have a prayer against LeBron James on the defensive end yet again. We'll get an update at Wednesday's practice, but consider Crowder probable for Game 5 on Thursday as the Celtics try to keep their season alive.

LeBron James bounced back with 34 points on 15-of-27 shooting in Tuesday's Game 4 win over Boston, adding six assists, five rebounds, one steal, one block and one triple in 38 minutes.

After an 11-point dud in Game 3 on 4-of-13 shooting, LeBron got off to another tough start with four fouls in the first half -- he was forced to sit the final seven minutes of the second quarter. However, he came alive after the break with 24 of his 34 points, helping the Cavaliers outscore the Celtics 65-42 in the second half. J.R. Smith added five points, three assists, one rebound, two steals and one triple for the Cavaliers, while Tristan Thompson notched seven points with seven rebounds and one block.
May 23 - 11:24 PM

Kyrie Irving went off for a playoff career-high 42 points in Tuesday's 112-99 Game 4 win, giving his team a 3-1 series lead.

With LeBron James in foul trouble for most of the night, Irving helped the Cavaliers erase a 16-point deficit and dropped 21 of his 42 points in the third quarter. The entire arena went silent when Irving rolled his left ankle near the end of the third quarter, but he was able to stay in and said after the game that he felt "great." Maybe he sits out of Wednesday's practice to be safe, but expect him to be ready for Game 5 on Thursday in Boston as the Cavs look to close out this series. You can check out the incident in the link below.
May 23 - 11:08 PM

Kelly Olynyk will start Game 4 vs. the Cavaliers on Tuesday.

With Amir Johnson (shoulder) out, Olynyk should see a slight bump in minutes tonight in addition to Jonas Jerebko. After being held to a combined two points in Games 1 and 2, Olynyk gave the Celtics a nice spark in Game 3 with 15 points in 23 minutes. Boston needs offense and floor spacing with Isaiah Thomas (hip) out, so Olynyk should be heavily involved unless he starts out cold from the field.
May 23 - 7:05 PM

Amir Johnson (right shoulder) will not suit up for Game 4 against the Cavs on Tuesday, according to sources of Michael Eaves of ESPN.

With Johnson set to spend Game 4 on the sidelines, we could see Kelly Olynyk move into the starting five, and there should be some more playing time available for Jonas Jerebko. For now, we'll be considering Johnson questionable for Game 5 on Thursday.
