Latest Headlines

Jameer Nelson (groin) will start Friday's game vs. Detroit.

Nelson will likely resume starting at PG, moving E'Twaun Moore back to the bench. Jameer is coming off a six-game absence, so it's a bit dicey to plug him into fantasy lineups.

Nick Young (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game vs. the Bulls.

Jan 29 - 2:28 PM

Updating a previous report, Anthony Davis (groin) is being listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Clippers.

He is dealing with a Grade 1 abductor strain, and we'll be monitoring his status closely. If Davis sits, Ryan Anderson, Alexis Ajinca, and Omer Asik will be the primary beneficiaries. Stay tuned.
Jan 29 - 2:25 PM

Mo Williams (personal) was not present during the Timberwolves' practice on Thursday, but he will meet the team in Philadelphia on Friday.

We'll be considering Williams questionable for Friday's game against the 76ers, as it's not yet known if he has fully recovered from the hip injury he was dealing with earlier in the week. If Williams sits, Zach LaVine would draw the start in a favorable matchup against the Sixers. Stay tuned.
Jan 29 - 2:09 PM

Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau expects Jimmy Butler (illness) to play against the Lakers on Thursday.

Butler has struggled a bit recently as he's averaged 15.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 2.1 steals on just 40.6 percent shooting from the field. His return will cut into the fantasy production of Aaron Brooks and Kirk Hinrich, while Butler's owners can feel free to slot him back into their lineups and hope that Jimmy has some new moves to get back on track.
Jan 29 - 1:39 PM

Dwyane Wade (hamstring) said he is without a timetable for his return.

Wade spoke with the media on Thursday and closed his session by saying, "You won't be seeing me for a while so get a good look at this face." Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said James Ennis will pick up some of Wade's minutes, but Shabazz Napier and Mario Chalmers become the priority pickups for fantasy owners as it sounds like we won't be seeing Wade for at least a couple weeks.
Jan 29 - 1:34 PM

Anthony Davis (groin) has a Grade 1 abductor strain and will be listed as day-to-day.

Though not great news, this is much better than the original reaction when Davis went down Wednesday night. We'll consider him questionable for Friday's game against the Clippers, while Ryan Anderson, Alexis Ajinca, and Omer Asik would stand to benefit if Davis is unable to play.
Jan 29 - 1:28 PM

Tony Allen (ankle) will play against the Nuggets on Thursday.

Allen will return after missing the Grizzlies' last two games, but he doesn't have much fantasy value fighting for minutes with Jeff Green, Courtney Lee, and Vince Carter. Allen can be left on waiver wires in standard leagues while his return will put a dent in the fantasy values of his aforementioned teammates.
Jan 29 - 1:24 PM

Mike Conley (wrist) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Nuggets.

Conley almost crashed Twitter with daily players searching for a status update Tuesday night and it looks like we're destined for a repeat on Thursday. We'll update his status as soon as more information become available, but owners should be ready to fire up Beno Udrih and Nick Calathes if Conley unable to suit up.
Jan 29 - 1:18 PM

Kevin Durant (toe) missed practice on Thursday.

This doesn't sound great for Durant's availability on Saturday after missing the Thunder's last two games with a sprained toe. We'll update Durant's status after Friday's practice, but Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka stand to gain the most fantasy value if Durant is unable to suit up against the Grizzlies.
Jan 29 - 12:55 PM

Luol Deng (calf) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Mavericks.

The Danny Granger Express rolls on for at least one more night. Deng will miss fifth game of the 2014-15 season on Friday and Granger will presumably get the start after putting up 14 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal, and three treys in place of Deng on Tuesday. James Ennis should see some increased run with Deng and Dwyane Wade (hamstring) both out on Friday, but Granger is the better fantasy option of the two.
Jan 29 - 12:36 PM

Dwyane Wade (hamstring) will miss Friday's game against the Mavericks.

While this comes as no surprise as Wade is expected to miss "extended time", Erik Spoelstra is labeling Wade merely as day-to-day. D-Wade already missed 10 games in November due to a hamstring injury, so while the Heat may want to take this situation game by game, fantasy owners should be prepared for an extended absence. Shabazz Napier and Mario Chalmers will see the biggest fantasy boost while Wade is out, while Norris Cole should also see some extra minutes.
