Andrew Bogut is hoping to resume practice for the Warriors on Monday after being shut down with his ankle injury.

There's still no timetable on Bogut's return but if he does practice next week, it's possible he's not far from playing in a game. We're not convinced his ankle problem is going to just go away, but if he's ever cleared for more than 20 minutes per game and can stay healthy, he'll obviously offer plenty of fantasy value. He's missed six straight games with the injury and has already been ruled out for the next three, and it's reasonable to expect his ankle to be an issue for the rest of the season.

Spurs F Kyle Anderson poured in a game-high 25 points vs. Utah, hitting 8-of-14 FGs and 8-of-9 FTs with one 3-pointer, eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.

Anderson saw limited run as a rookie and it's hard to envision him playing a big role on the playoff-bound Spurs this season. His clever passing and length have been undermined by weak defense and a shaky jumper -- he shot 34.8 percent last season, including a combined 3-of-11 mark from deep -- so it's at least encouraging to see SloMo make his shots tonight.

Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry is encouraging Anthony Davis to extend his range to the 3-point line.

Davis made just one 3-pointer last season but Gentry is challenging him to make 300 corner 3-pointers every day he works out. "That's got to become a consistent shot for him," Gentry said. "We want him to shoot that shot. So I think you probably see him make more 3s than he's made his entire career." Davis is also expected to play more center this season as Gentry tries to increase the pace. It was hard to imagine Davis' unreal fantasy ceiling getting any higher, but Gentry just made it happen.

X-rays on P.J. Hairston's left shoulder were negative and he's listed as day-to-day with a contusion.

We don't expect to see him in uniform on Wednesday, but at least it's not a long-term injury. Hairston shot 32.3 percent as a rookie and is nowhere near being a standard-league fantasy asset.

Gerald Henderson had a left hip debridement arthroscopy on Tuesday, and the Blazers expect him to be ready for training camp.

The 27-year-old Henderson had surgery on the same hip in 2011, reportedly because of a "congenital defect" in his hip, so this isn't an encouraging start to his Blazers career. He still projects as Portland's starting shooting guard on opening night and is a capable scorer, but contributes limited across-the-board stats and hasn't returned standard-league value since 2012-13. He's not a likely fantasy asset even if he holds off C.J. McCollum for the starting SG job all season.
Jul 7 - 8:53 PM

Russ Smith made a game-winning floater in double-overtime on Tuesday, propelling the Grizzlies to a 73-71 win vs. the Orlando Magic 'Blue' team.

Smith came off the bench but finished with a team-high 20 points on 9-of-12 shooting, two 3-pointers, three rebounds, three assists and two steals in 28 minutes of action. The outburst may turn a few heads but Smith, who has played 12 games in his NBA career, is obviously not on the fantasy map.

Jusuf Nurkic (knee) said that everything is going good in his recovery from offseason knee surgery, but he would not commit to an official return date.

"Everything is going good," said Nurkic. "[Trainers and doctors] tell me that everything is good. I feel so good, but I must be patient day-by-day." When asked if he'd be ready for training camp Nurkic responded: "It's not important for now. Let's think about the next 15 years, not one month before, or one less." We'll be tracking Nurkic's progress closely this offseason, but he'll have the starting center spot locked up in Denver and should make for a quality late-round pick on draft day.

Troy Daniels went off during Tuesday's Summer League game vs. the Nets, scoring 16 points on 5-of-11 shooting to go with 14 rebounds, two assists, four 3-pointers and two turnovers over 30 minutes of action.

Daniels looked great today, but he's not going to get anywhere near 30 minutes per game during the regular-season. He could however earn himself a sixth man role with the Hornets, as he does provide Charlotte with some much-needed 3-point shooting, although he still won’t be much more than a 3-point specialist in deep leagues.
Jul 7 - 5:14 PM

Aaron Gordon had yet another solid showing during Tuesday's Summer League game vs. the Grizzlies, posting 22 points on 8-of-19 shooting, to go with three 3-pointers, seven rebounds, four assists, one steal, three blocks and five turnovers.

Gordon was also a perfect 3-of-3 from the charity stripe, and he continues to destroy the lesser competition at Summer League. He has clearly put a lot of work into this game this offseason, although he'll be fighting for minutes with Tobias Harris next season, which really limits his upside. Still, he could be worth a late-round flier in deep leagues in next year's fantasy drafts if he can keep up his play.
Jul 7 - 3:56 PM

Unrestricted free agent Wes Johnson is reportedly finalizing a deal that will land him with the Clippers.

Johnson will play backup minutes to Paul Pierce in Los Angeles, but as long as Pierce is healthy, Johnson won't have much fantasy value in standard leagues.
Jul 7 - 3:20 PM

Gerald Wallace has been traded to the Warriors for David Lee.

While the Warriors could use the stretch provision on Wallace, it’s being reported that they plan on keeping him. Wallace will bring a veteran presence to the Dubs’ championship locker room, but he’ll have plenty of games where he doesn’t even leave the bench. The change of scenery for Wallace will not have an effect upon his non-existent fantasy value.
Jul 7 - 3:01 PM

David Lee has reportedly been traded to the Celtics for Gerald Wallace.

While Lee will be joining a rather crowded frontcourt in Boston, he should still see a decent boost in value, as one of Boston's best offensive players down low. He doesn't do a whole lot aside from score and rebound, so he won't be worth much more than a late-round selection on draft day.
