James Harden and the Rockets traveled to Minnesota early on Wednesday to pay respects to coach Kevin McHale and attend the funeral for his daughter, Sasha, and will then travel to Oklahoma City to play Harden's former team at 8 p.m. later tonight.

The Rockets are going to be tired and emotionally spent, while Harden will be facing his old mates tonight. We wouldn't bench any of the Rockets you'd normally start, but just be aware that the extra traveling could impact their numbers negatively.

Iman Shumpert was forced to leave Sunday's game vs. the 76ers and will not be able to return.

Mar 29 - 5:40 PM

Gorgui Dieng took a hard fall in the first quarter of Sunday's game and he was replaced by Justin Hamilton to begin the second half.

The last thing the snake-bit Wolves needs is yet another injury. All signs point to Dieng sitting out the rest of Sunday's game but for now we're considering him questionable to return. Hamilton is himself just returning from an extended absence, but he's an intriguing fantasy pickup whether or not Dieng misses time.
Mar 29 - 5:24 PM

Updating a previous report, Shabazz Napier (hip) will not be able to play on Sunday vs. the Pistons.

The Heat have changed his status three times in the past 24 hours, so it's frustrating to see him ruled out of this one. Napier wasn't a consistent part of the rotation before the injury, so owners can comfortably leave him on the waiver wire in most leagues.
Mar 29 - 5:19 PM

Dwyane Wade (knee) will be in the starting lineup vs. the Pistons on Sunday.

He just had his knee drained on Saturday, so this is thrilling news for his owners. Wade belongs in all lineups while he is healthy, but his owners will want to keep a close eye on the injury report moving forward. Mario Chalmers' value takes a hit with this news, while Tyler Johnson should see fewer minutes as well.
Mar 29 - 5:17 PM

Derrick Favors (back spasms) is listed as questionable for Monday's game vs. the Timberwolves.

He didn't play on Saturday and we're unlikely to get another update until Monday's shootaround -- owners should at least prepare for a possible DNP, as back spasms are a particularly fickle injury. Trevor Booker would gain the most if Favors can't suit up, with more minutes also available for Rudy Gobert and Jeremy Evans.
Mar 29 - 5:04 PM

John Wall scored 25 points on Sunday, adding 12 assists, eight rebounds, four steals, one block and an unfortunate seven turnovers through 43 minutes of action.

He shot 7-of-17 from the field and 11-of-12 from the charity stripe, and while he went on a major scoring run during the third quarter (14 points), he was held to just two points through the entire fourth quarter of action. While the Wizards have been struggling lately, it's hard to point the finger at Wall, who has posted averages of 19.6 points, 8.3 assists, 6.2 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.2 three-pointers per game through the month of March. With the Wizards fighting for a higher seed in the East, Wall will continue to log major minutes as they close out their regular-season.
Mar 29 - 4:56 PM

Greg Monroe (knee) has officially been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Heat.

The Pistons are considering shutting Monroe down for the season so this shouldn't take any owners by surprise. With the playoffs out of reach and only nine games remaining after Sunday, there isn't much incentive for Monroe to play at less than 100 percent. Owners fighting for their fantasy playoff lives should move on to a healthy alternative.
Mar 29 - 4:52 PM

Josh Smith had another great all-around game on Sunday, scoring 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting, with 10 rebounds, three assists, two 3-pointers, two blocks, one steal and four turnovers through 36 minutes of action.

Smith is currently the only healthy power forward on the roster, so he's seen his minutes and production take a big leap over the past two games with Donatas Motiejunas (back) joining Terrence Jones (ribs, lung) on the sidelines. Motiejunas has been ruled out for the next 1-2 weeks, and Jones is without an official return date, meaning that J Smoov is an absolute must-start option heading into a four-game week for the Rockets.
Mar 29 - 4:35 PM

Hassan Whiteside (hand) will not play vs. the Pistons on Sunday.

He was questionable to play but Miami ruled him out two hours before tip-off, so presumably his hand remains swollen and painful. The risk of re-tearing the stitches is an even greater concern, and owners will simply have to hope that Whiteside can suit up for Tuesday's game vs. the Spurs. Chris Andersen (calf) is also sidelined on Sunday, so expect heavy minutes for Udonis Haslem and Michael Beasley.
Mar 29 - 4:27 PM

Dwight Howard managed to put up a double-double despite his minutes restriction on Sunday, with 11 points on 3-of-6 shooting (5-of-8 from the line), 10 rebounds and two turnovers.

Howard has been effective since returning from a two-month absence, posting averages of 11.0 points and 7.0 rebounds on 72.2 percent shooting from the field. However, the Rockets have two back-to-back sets coming next week, meaning Howard has a maximum of two games, so owners in weekly formats should leave him on the bench. He's already been ruled out for Monday's game vs. the Wizards, and he'll be forced to sit either Thursday vs. the Kings or Friday vs. the Mavericks. He's a guy whose name is bigger than his game right now, and we wouldn't recommend owning him in standard leagues.
Mar 29 - 4:21 PM

James Harden scored 24 points on 7-of-20 shooting (9-of-10 from the line), with six assists, three rebounds, two steals, one 3-pointer, one block and three turnovers during Sunday's win over the Wizards.

Harden has been on an absolute tear through the month of March, posting ridiculous averages of 28.4 points, 7.3 assists, 5.8 rebounds, 2.1 three-pointers, 1.9 steals and 0.7 blocks while getting to the charity stripe 12.8 times per game and knocking down an impressive 86.2 percent of those attempts. He's carrying fantasy squads through the playoffs, and he'll get four games next week. Enjoy the show.
