Shane Battier (knee) went through a limited shootaround, but will not play on Tuesday against the Wizards, as expected.

Battier and the Heat were hopeful that he could take the court, but the expectation was that he'd sit out again on Tuesday. Rashard Lewis will likely start in his place again, but he's not a spot-start option in standard formats. Battier is targeting a potential return on Thursday, though that's not set in stone.

Joey Dorsey will draw the start against the Lakers on Sunday in place of Dwight Howard (ankle).

Dorsey's game doesn't translate to fantasy very well, so he should only be considered in ridiculously deep leagues for owners in need of short-term value. The real beneficiaries in Howard's absence will be Donatas Motiejunas and Josh Smith.
Jan 25 - 8:14 PM

Robbie Hummel left Sunday's game against the Hawks with a hand injury and is questionable to return.

He lost his starting spot on Sunday with Minnesota opting to pair Nikola Pekovic and Gorgui Dieng together in the frontcourt, so his value was already trending down prior to the injury. We will update his status as soon as we know more.
Jan 25 - 8:07 PM

Dwight Howard (ankle) will not play against the Lakers on Sunday.

Coach Kevin McHale wasn't too hopeful that Howard would play tonight, and it looks like there is a legitimate chance that he misses additional time. We will consider Howard day-to-day for now, and we will update his status when we know more. The Rockets have yet to name a replacement in the starting lineup, but Donatas Motiejunas and Josh Smith will likely be the primary beneficiaries.
Jan 25 - 8:00 PM

Tyson Chandler left Sunday's game against the Pelicans with a knee injury, but has since returned to action.

He collided with Anthony Davis during the third quarter and immediately gripped his knee in pain. Chandler couldn't put any weight on his leg and had to carried off the floor by his teammates, so it's surprising to see him back on the floor. X-rays were negative on his knee, so it looks like he dodged a bullet. We will let you know how his knee holds up after the game.
Jan 25 - 7:37 PM

LeBron James scored 34 points to lead five Cavaliers in double-digits on Sunday, adding two 3-pointers, seven rebounds and five assists in Cleveland's sixth straight victory.

The re-tooled Cavs are figuring out how to win as a team, which is an unwelcome development for the rest of the Eastern Conference. James shot 11-of-25 from the field and 10-of-13 at the FT line, and rounded out Sunday's gem with a steal and two blocks.
Jan 25 - 7:28 PM

Russell Westbrook fell one rebound shy of a triple-double vs. Cleveland on Sunday, scoring 22 points with nine boards, 11 assists, two steals and one block.

He shot 7-of-26 overall but made three 3-pointers and committed only two turnovers in OKC's tough road loss. Westbrook is one of 11 players with a triple-double this season, with Rajon Rondo leading the league with three of them in 38 games. Despite the near-miss for Westbrook his owners should only have one complaint -- his heavily-weighted 36.8 percent shooting over the past month.
Jan 25 - 7:17 PM

Pau Gasol had yet another fantastic game on Sunday, scoring 13 points to go with 17 rebounds, three assists, four blocks, and two turnovers, but it wasn't enough as the Bulls fell to the heat.

Gasol continues to put up glorious fantasy lines, and he was rightfully voted in as the starting center for the Eastern Conference All-Star Team. He looks completely revitalized in Chicago, and his down-year in LA last season is now a distant memory. Keep rolling him out there, and pat yourself on the back if you drafted him late.
Jan 25 - 6:49 PM

An MRI confirmed a sprained right ankle for Kelly Olynyk, and head coach Brad Stevens expects him to be sidelined for at least "a couple weeks."

Olynyk has a few torn ligaments which is typical of for a bad ankle sprain. With Olynyk sidelined, Tyler Zeller will get all the run he can handle with Brandon Bass also being in line for some extended minutes. While Zeller offers the most upside, both Zeller and Bass should be able to carve out some standard league value for as long as Olynyk is out.
Jan 25 - 6:39 PM

Joakim Noah was benched for the entire fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Heat, finishing the game with four points, five rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.

Head coach Tom Thibodeau said he liked the group that started the fourth quarter, and that is the reason why Joakim did not re-enter the game. Thibodeau maintained that Joakim is healthy, and he just wanted to watch his minutes, but with the result being an L in the win-loss column, this will not likely be a trend that continues. Look for Noah to bounce-back during Tuesday's game vs. Golden State.
Jan 25 - 6:35 PM

Ty Lawson will return to the starting lineup for Sunday's game vs. the Wizards.

Lawson was unavailable for Friday's game after being arrested for his second DUI early Friday morning. However, he'll be back in the lineup today, and he's obviously a must-start option every time he's in uniform. Jameer Nelson and Randy Foye's value will take a hit with Lawson back in the rotation.
Jan 25 - 6:26 PM

Jimmy Butler was held to just five points during Sunday's loss to the Heat, adding five rebounds, two assists, and one steal over 42.5 minutes of action.

Butler shot just 2-of-8 from the field, so while the minutes were there, the scoring simply wasn't. Luol Deng was playing some vicious defense today, and this was easily Butler's worst game of the season. However, Butler has not had two bad back-to-back games this season, so expect him to bounce-back during Tuesday's matchup with the Warriors.
