Elliot Williams, who is out for the year after tearing his Achilles, is ramping up his rehab.

Williams is out of a walking boot and doing exercises to strengthen his legs, but he's got a long road ahead before he's ready to return.

Gerald Green racked up 21 points and 12 rebounds off the bench on Wednesday, hitting 7-of-17 shots with five 3-pointers, one assist, one block and zero turnovers in 26 minutes.

All of Green's attempts in the first half were from downtown, but that's nothing new -- he took a whopping 72.3% of his shots from beyond the arc this season, including 17 triples in Houston's regular-season finale. His deft scoring touch helped Houston overcome a brutal 2-of-18 shooting night from James Harden, and they head to Minnesota with a comfortable 2-0 series lead.

James Harden shot 2-of-18 from the field for 12 points on Wednesday, making 7-of-8 free throws with seven assists, four rebounds, three steals and three blocks.

Harden finished 1-of-10 from downtown, yet the Rockets still pulled away for a 102-82 victory thanks to lock-down defense and big games from Chris Paul (27 points) and Gerald Green (21 points). The Wolves threw multiple defenders at Harden all night long and considering they held him to 11.1% percent shooting, it's a strategy we're likely to see again as the series shifts to Minnesota for Game 3 on Saturday.
Apr 19 - 12:13 AM

Karl-Anthony Towns shot 2-of-9 for five points during the Wolves' lopsided Game 2 loss, adding 10 rebounds, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 24 minutes.

KAT was held to eight points on nine shots in Game 1 and the Wolves talked a lot about getting him going offensively, but that obviously didn't come to fruition. He was held to single-digit scoring just twice during the entire regular season and the fact that Houston has limited him in consecutive games is mind-boggling -- the Rockets did have the sixth-best Defensive Efficiency in the league this year, and their swarming defense has short-circuited the Wolves' offense. Towns and the Wolves will go back to the drawing board for Game 3 at the Target Center on Saturday.

Donovan Mitchell (bruised left foot) finished Wednesday's road win with a game-high 28 points on 10-of-25 FGs and 8-of-9 FTs, six rebounds, two assists and one steal in 43 minutes.

Mitchell was a game-time decision after MRIs were negative for structural damage, but you couldn't tell he was injured by watching him play. He was instrumental in turning a 10-point deficit into a lead in the fourth quarter, and continues to reach new heights in his rookie season -- he and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar are the only players to score 27+ points in their first two playoff appearances. He's unreal.
Apr 18 - 10:58 PM

Derrick Favors set multiple postseason highs on Wednesday with 20 points and 16 rebounds, adding three assists, one steal, two 3-pointers and one turnover in 37 minutes.

Favors had six offensive rebounds in the first half alone, finishing with eight boards on the offensive glass. He's having a solid season for Utah after battling injuries in recent years, and has quieted concerns about his ability to share the frontcourt with Rudy Gobert. Tonight's impressive 102-95 victory ties things up at 1-1 as the series shifts to Utah for Game 3.
Apr 18 - 10:57 PM

Ricky Rubio was terrific on Wednesday with 22 points on 6-of-16 shooting, nine assists, seven rebounds and one steal in a Game 2 victory at OKC.

Rubio launched 18 shots in Utah's Game 1 defeat, which tied the third-most attempts he had in any regular season game this year. He wasn't shy tonight, either, and connected on 5-of-6 free throws while knocking down five 3-pointers. The triples tied Rubio's season high and helped Utah escape with a series-tying victory, despite the rest of the roster combining for 4-of-21 shooting from downtown. So far, so good for Rubio in his first postseason run.
Apr 18 - 10:56 PM

Rudy Gobert piled up 13 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals in 33 minutes of action vs. OKC on Wednesday.

Gobert began the game 2-of-6 from the FT line but he made them when it mattered most, finishing 7-of-12 at the stripe. His job got easier with Steven Adams playing only 22 minutes due to foul trouble, before fouling out in the fourth quarter, and the battle at center remains a key to the series. Gobert shot just 54.4% on the road this season, compared to 68.8% during home games, so we're expecting some big performances in Games 3 and 4.
Apr 18 - 10:55 PM

Steven Adams (hand) fouled out of Game 2 with nine points on 4-of-5 shooting, seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in just 22 minutes.

Adams began the game with a wrap around his right wrist and he was icing his arm throughout the game, presumably stemming from a play late in Game 1 when he hit his hand on the rim during a dunk. The injury was obviously bothering him, but coach Billy Donovan again dismissed any concerns and said he'll be fine for Game 3. We'll keep a close eye on his status but it would be shocking if he missed any time.
Apr 18 - 10:53 PM

X-rays on Kevin Love's left thumb were negative and coach Ty Lue confirmed that Love will be ready to go for Game 3 on Friday.

"[Love] is good. He’s fine," Lue said. "Just a jammed thumb. Ready to go for Game 3." Lue added that he liked the "flow of the team" down the stretch, which is the only reason he didn't put Love back into the game after his injury late in the fourth quarter. We'll leave him on the injury report as a precaution, but it's safe to deploy him in DFS and other postseason fantasy formats.
Apr 18 - 10:41 PM

Blazers coach Terry Stotts is considering lineup changes for Game 3 vs. the Pelicans on Thursday.

Moe Harkless could shift into the starting five but Stotts' decision is complicated by a strict minute-limit after Harkless' recent arthroscopic knee surgery. "We didn't want to overload his minutes [in Game 2]," Stotts said. "I wanted to be able to save his minutes in case we wanted to finish the game with him. If he played 6 to 8 minutes to start the game, that's it for the half." Anyone building DFS lineups for Thursday should keep a close eye on Portland's lineup, especially with Evan Turner (toe) questionable to suit up.
Apr 18 - 10:09 PM

LeBron James was magnificent during the Cavs' Game 2 victory, making 17-of-24 FGs and 10-of-13 FTs to score 46 points with 12 rebounds, five assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.

LeBron was on a mission from tip-off tonight, scoring 16 of the Cavs' first 19 points en route to a series-tying home win. He's now scored 40+ points in 20 playoff games during his career, and he fell just three points shy of his postseason career high. He went just 7-of-17 from the field in a rare Game 1 defeat on Sunday, but it didn't take LBJ long to play another MVP-worthy game to get his team back on level terrain in the series.
