Richard Hamilton (foot) could miss up to four weeks, but he hopes to return sooner.

We had a suspicion that a one-to-two week absence wouldn't be enough to accomodate Hamilton's recovery period, and it looks like that initial timetable was off. Hamilton was diagnosed with a torn plantar fascia on December 2, so we wouldn't be surprised to see him return around Christmas or early January. In his place, Marco Belinelli will continue to start with Jimmy Butler and Nate Robinson seeing a bump in minutes as well.

Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said Derrick Rose (knee) is still in the initial phases of his rehab process.

Thibodeau added that Rose has been riding a stationary bike, but it doesn't sound like he'll be traveling with the team to Indianapolis or San Antonio. Rose is planning on returning this season, but it's unlikely he'll return in time to make enough a dent in fantasy leagues and can be left on the waiver wire in most leagues.

Russell Westbrook (face) said he has no issues with his protective mask that he wore during Wednesday's win over the 76ers.

Westbrook recorded his fourth consecutive triple-double Wednesday night and the mask did little to hamper his efforts. "I mean, it was weird, obviously, [I] kept wiping it and it was a total, big process of trying to keep everything from not falling and all this stuff," he said. "But that's not going to stop me. My job is to come out there and lead my team." There's not much else to say about Westbrook right now other than that he should be cemented in every fantasy lineup.

The Boston Celtics are reportedly close to signing JaVale McGee.

McGee has had a fair share of suitors since being released by the 76ers, but it looks like he'll end up in Celtic green on a deal that will reportedly be through the 2015-16 season. McGee will join a crowded Celtics frontcourt of Tyler Zeller, Brandon Bass, Kelly Olynyk, so the fantasy fallout from this move is more of a downgrade for all four players than it is an upgrade for any.

Andre Drummond scored 13 points with 18 boards, one assist, one steal and six blocks against the Pelicans on Wednesday.

It's not a tough argument to make that the Reggie Jackson trade is helping Drummond. In his last five with RJ, Drummond averaged 16.4 points, 13.6 boards, 2.6 blocks and 0.4 steals on 63.2 percent from the field. He's still going to be abysmal from the line, but Drummond is back to being a beast.
Mar 5 - 1:57 AM

Hassan Whiteside racked up 18 points, a career-high 25 rebounds and four blocks on 6-of-10 shooting in Wednesday's win over the Lakers.

Man, are the Lakers good at giving it up to the opposition. Whiteside has collected 64 rebounds over his last three games and is averaging 16.0 points, 15.8 rebounds and three blocks over his last five games. Sure, he hit just 6-of-13 free throws tonight, but who cares?
Mar 5 - 1:28 AM

Isaiah Canaan scored a career-high 31 points against the Thunder on Wednesday during an overtime 123-118 loss, adding seven rebounds, six assists, one steal and eight 3-pointers.

He was awful in his previous six games, averaging 10.5 points, 2.2 boards, 2.8 assists, 0.5 steals and 2.3 treys on 35.5 percent from the field. Coach Brett Brown is committed to Canaan as his starter and we always knew he had the upside. Obviously, he won't be dropping many lines like this one, but he's worth owning in standard leagues to see if he can keep it going.
Mar 5 - 1:19 AM

LeBron James didn't take kindly to a flagrant tackle by Jonas Valanciunas late in the third quarter on Wednesday, and finished the win with 29 points, six rebounds, 14 assists and three 3-pointers on 9-of-16 shooting.

He scored 14 points in the fourth quarter and the 14 dimes matched his season high. The Cavs are all but a lock to finish as the No. 2 seed in the East, and an eventual Eastern Conference Finals matchup with the Hawks would be fun to watch. Stay tuned.
Mar 5 - 12:57 AM

Jason Richardson had his best game since 2012 during a loss to the Thunder on Wednesday with 29 points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal and four 3-pointers.

He hit two deep treys to help get this game to overtime. Richardson has been solid since his return and has put up numbers in each of his last four, averaging 16.8 points, 3.8 boards, 2.5 dimes, 1.0 steals and 3.3 treys. He's worth starting when he's active, but will be rested here and there.
Mar 5 - 12:51 AM

Kenneth Faried looked terrific against the Wolves on Wednesday with 18 points, 14 boards, two assists, two steals and two blocks in 33 minutes.

That's two games without Brian Shaw and two wonderful lines on the stat sheet. It's probably a tad premature to say he's going to be this good, but Faried was truly awesome down the stretch last season and over the summer, so he could be an 18-point, 12-board guy the rest of the way. All that patience is paying dividends right now and he obviously needs to be owned in all leagues.
Mar 5 - 12:20 AM

Anthony Davis returned from his shoulder injury and went off for 39 points, 13 rebounds, three steals and eight blocks on 17-of-30 shooting in a tough win over the Pistons on Wednesday.

He'd missed five straight games (and most of a sixth) with a shoulder injury, but went bonkers tonight, playing 42 minutes. Injury concerns with him are real, as he's yet to make it through an entire NBA season, but when he's on the court, there's no one better, unless their named Kevin, LeBron, Russell, James or Stephen, and even then, it's arguable. Get him back in your lineup ASAP.
Mar 4 - 11:51 PM

Russell Westbrook returned from a facial fracture on Wednesday and had a ridiculous triple-double against the 76ers during a 123-118 overtime win, scoring a career-high 49 points with 16 boards, 10 assists, three steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 42 minutes.

Where do we begin? He logged his fourth consecutive triple-double to become the first player since Michael Jordan to do that, became just the third player to log consecutive 40-point triple-doubles in NBA history (Jordan and Pete Maravich), had a career high in boards, and became the second player in the past 30 seasons to drop a 45-15-10 line (Vince Carter). He also had a ridiculous 46.1 usage rate tonight. This guy needed surgery to repair a dent in his face last week. Crazy.
