Francisco Garcia scored a season-high 25 points with a career-best seven 3-point shots in another start for injured Tyreke Evans (knee) on Monday.

Garcia hit 9-of-16 shots and also chipped in with three blocks, one rebound, and one assist. He has a fantasy friendly game but his value is tethered to Evans' return, and that situation is cloudy at best despite the repeated statements by Keith Smart and Evans that the injury is not serious. Throw in the fluke factor and there are more reasons to stay away than to move on this, and we wouldn't recommend cutting anybody that isn't dead weight in order to take a chance that Evans is seriously hurt.

Goran Dragic said the Miami Heat are his first choice in free agency.

Dragic will opt out of his contract before the end of the month, but he said he's hoping to stay with the Heat as long as the two sides are on the same page finanically. "As long as I’m in a happy environment and a healthy organization, that’s the most important thing," Dragic said. "The next three, four, five years — I want to spend it on this kind of team, like the Miami Heat. They have great players, great coaching staff and great training staff." While he didn't return value as a third-round pick in 2014-15 , Dragic should benefit from a full season in a Heat uniform if he returns and is worthy of an early-mid round selection in fantasy drafts.

Bradley Beal (ankle) will suit up for Game 2 against the Hawks on Tuesday.

Confirming a previous item in which Beal said he expected to play, the 21-year-old will officially be in the Wizards' starting lineup on Tuesday. Beal has dealt with quite a few ankle injuries in his short NBA tenure, but he practiced without much issue on Monday and should be in good enough shape to continue his strong playoff run in Game 2 against the Hawks.

John Wall (wrist) will play in Game 2 against the Hawks on Tuesday.

This news comes as no surprise as Wall had previously said he'd play, but fantasy owners can now safely start him on Game 2. Wall said he's dealing with some swelling in his left wrist, but he played with both hands after injuring his wrist in Game 1 so he shouldn't be too limited on Tuesday night.

Russell Westbrook is upset that that Thunder did not consult with him about the hiring of new head coach Billy Donovan, according to Justin Termine of SiriusXM.

According to Termine's sources, the Thunder consulted with Kevin Durant, but did not include Westbrook in that consultation. Westbrook had previously spoken out in support of ousted head coach Scott Brooks, so there could be some hurt feelings in regards to that as well. Westbrook has two seasons left on his contract with the Thunder, so there may not be much recourse for him here, but we'll keep an eye out for updates on Termine's report.

Mark Cuban took to Twitter to defend the increased practice of intentionally fouling bad free throw shooters in the playoffs.

In a series of tweets on Monday night, Cuban defended what he called the "Hack-A-Whoever" approach. After questioning if watching a player who gets to the line a lot make free throws is any more interesting than watching a bad free throw shooter miss free throws, Cuban responded to a question about a rule change with, "Teach the guy to make FTs. Problem solved. You don't need to change the rules." There will be plenty of offseason discussion about a potential rule change, but it's becoming pretty clear where the Mavericks' outspoken owner stands on this one.

Chris Bosh opened about about his blood clot scare on a radio interview and said there were times that he couldn't breathe.

Bosh said he couldn't breathe during a February 1 win over the Celtics, but tried to play through it. "I know, I’ll never do it again," Bosh said. "It sounds crazy, doesn’t it? I wish I could go back and tell myself not to do those things, but I’m lucky to be alive. I am. I took that as a lesson to stop trying to be a tough guy all the time. That’s kinda how we’re trained, to just suck it up and throw some dirt on it and get back out there." We'll keep an eye on his status, but Bosh said he's doing well now and it sounds like he should be healthy for the start of the 2015-16 season.

Derrick Rose said he isn't worried about the shoulder injury he suffered during Monday's Game 1 win over the Cavaliers.

Rose suffered a shoulder stinger towards the end of the game, but was able to walk it off and didn't sound too worried after the game. "It was a stinger; my first time ever," Rose said. "It went away within 5,10 minutes. It’s something I’m not worried about." Rose had a fantastic Game 1 in scoring 25 points with five rebounds, five assists, one steal, and three 3-pointers and Bulls fans can breathe a sign of relief as it sounds like he'll be just fine for Wednesday's Game 2.

Bradley Beal (ankle) said he expects to play in Game 2 against the Hawks on Tuesday.

Before comparing playing the Hawks to fighting Floyd Mayweather, Beal didn't sound too concerned about his availability for Tuesday night. "I should be good [Tuesday]," Beal said. "I've sprained this ankle 30 times. The swelling has never gone away. [But] it wasn't that bad. Actually, I got to thank my trainers because I feel a lot better today than I did yesterday." The 21-year-old is averaging 22.2 points and 5.6 rebounds in the playoffs and should be all-systems-go for Tuesday's Game 2.

John Wall (wrist) is expected to play in Game 2 against the Hawks on Tuesday.

Wall will be receiving treatment on his swollen wrist up until tipoff, but the star point guard is preparing to play on Tuesday. "I'm all right," Wall said. "My hand hurts. Swollen, but other than that, I am fine." Outside of some swelling, Wall shouldn't be too limited by his wrist in Game 2 and we'll expect him to be in the starting lineup come game-time on Tuesday night.

Blake Griffin triple-doubled with 26 points on 9-of-19 shooting (8-of-10 FTs), 14 rebounds, 13 assists and one steal in the Clippers' 99-92 Game 1 win over the Rockets in Houston.

Griffin looked visibly tired after a long battle with the Spurs, but with Chris Paul (hamstring) out he had a ton of responsibility tonight as you can see. Heck, DeAndre Jordan even chipped in with five assists to go with two steals, four blocks and an otherwise normal 10 points and 13 boards. Griffin has been outstanding during these playoffs and the Rockets looked like a lower class team in tonight's series opener.
May 5 - 1:13 AM

Matt Barnes was everywhere in the Clippers' Game 1 win over the Rockets on Monday, scoring 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting (including three treys) with five rebounds, three assists, four steals and two blocks in 42 minutes.

Barnes is a guy that the Clippers would love to rest up in a short series, but for now he's going to be a workhorse and especially while Chris Paul (hamstring) is out. The Rockets didn't exert any of their will on tonight's game and if they have any life in them this type of upside could vanish pretty quickly, and most certainly will when Paul returns.
