Tyreke Evans (knee) practiced again Wednesday and the team officially labeled him a game-time decision against the Bucks.

Evans is expected to play Wednesday night, but Keith Smart has labeled him probable in almost every game he's missed. Owners will want to check back for an official update closer to tipoff. Francisco Garcia should start again if Evans is out.

The Lakers are reportedly closing in on a multi-year deal with agent Rob Pelinka to install him as Los Angeles' next GM.

The agent-to-GM move worked out pretty well for the Warriors, so the Lakers will try and replicate that success by bringing in Pelinka, who is a well-respected agent around the league. He still needs to divest from his agency, so it could take a couple days before this thing becomes official.

Updating a previous report, Mike D'Antoni confirmed that Patrick Beverley (groin) will play Thursday vs. the Pelicans.

Beverley suffered a minor groin injury that forced him out of the final game heading into the All-Star break, but he practiced in full on Tuesday and he'll be back in action on Thursday night.

C.J. Watson (sore right Achilles) was not able to practice on Tuesday and he's expected to undergo an MRI on Wednesday.

This is concerning given that Watson had the entire All-Star break to rest up, but we'll wait for the MRI results before making any speculation on a timetable. Orlando's first game after the break comes Thursday vs. Portland, and if Watson can't give it a go, we could see Elfrid Payton back in the starting five with D.J. Augustin logging extended minutes off the bench. Stay tuned.

Mike D'Antoni said that Patrick Beverley (groin) is "fine" and he expects him to be good to go for Thursday's game against the Pelicans.

Beverley suffered the minor groin strain during Houston's final game heading into the break, but he's had plenty of time to rest up and his owners can plan on having him available on Thursday night. Check back for another update following Thursday morning's shootaround.

Tom Thibodeau is reportedly making a push to strike a deal for Derrick Rose.

Thibs reported infatuation with Rose is a bit strange, but it does sound like a three-way trade between New York, Minnesota and Detroit involving Rose, Ricky Rubio and Reggie Jackson is brewing. This is a situation we'll be monitoring closely as the deadline approaches.

The Hornets are reportedly "aggressively pursuing" Lou Williams.

The Hornets are lacking a real scoring punch off the bench, so it'll be interesting to see if Magic Johnson's first trade as the Lakers' President of Basketball Operations ends up being with a team owned by Michael Jordan. Williams wouldn't have much trouble finding quality minutes in Charlotte, so his value would be relatively safe there. On the Lakers side of things, Jordan Clarkson and D'Angelo Russell would benefit most if Sweet Lou gets traded.

Teams pursuing Bojan Bogdanovic have reportedly been ramping up their offers, and it's getting to the point where Brooklyn will be choosing the best deal available.

Thus far we've only heard that the Wizards were interested in acquiring Bogdanovic, but Woj is reporting that multiple teams have been involved. It seems likely that Bogdanovic will be dealt at the deadline, and his value would likely take a bit of a hit playing outside of Brooklyn. A Bogdanovic departure could clear the way for Rondae Hollis-Jefferson to flirt with minutes in the 30s, so he's someone to consider stashing away in deep leagues ahead of the deadline.

Magic Johnson said he'd like to see Ivica Zubac get more minutes during the final few months of the NBA season.

"I think he has really established himself as a quality backup center and I would like to see him get even more minutes," said Johnson. Head coach Luke Walton has already hinted that he'll make a better effort to give Zubac some extended run as the NBA season comes to a close, so he makes for a fine stash for anyone in need of a big that can really rack up the swats.

The Pistons will reportedly not discourage other teams from inquiring about Andre Drummond at the trade deadline.

Most of the trade news that has come out of Detroit has indicated Reggie Jackson as one of the more likely players to go, but there have been whispers that Stan Van Gundy would be willing to part ways with Drummond should the right deal come along. Drummond should be a double-double machine regardless of his jersey, but if he's sent away, we could see Jon Leuer's minutes consistently in the high-30s. Detroit reportedly shot down a Jonas Valanciunas-Drummond swap, so it'll take a lot for a deal to go down.

The Lakers have named Earvin "Magic" Johnson President of Basketball Operations.

The team also announced that GM Mitch Kupchak has been relieved of his duties and that Jim Buss will no longer hold his role as Lakers Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations. It's obviously a major shakeup within the Lakers organization. The press release quotes Jeanie Buss as declaring: "Our search for a new General Manager to work with Earvin and Coach Luke Walton is well underway and we hope to announce a new General Manager in short order."

The Nets have lowered their asking price on Brook Lopez and are now willing to accept a first and second-round pick, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

The Nets were initially demanding two first-round picks in exchange for their best player. However, after seeing how little the Kings got in return for DeMarcus Cousins, it appears they have been forced to re-evaluate Lopez's market value. If Lopez were to get traded, his usage rate would likely decline, as he is the focal point of the Nets offense, but a new team would likely play him more than Brooklyn does. Ultimately, we would have to wait and see where he might end up before attempting to predicting his future fantasy value.
