Isaiah Thomas scored a season-high 26 points in just 13 minutes of action, and nearly single-handedly brought the Kings back from 24 down at the start of the fourth quarter in Friday's loss to the Thunder.

Right to the point, we doubt this has much impact on Thomas' situation in Sacramento, though a speculative add is worth considering with the hopes of catching lightning in a bottle. Talent is not the issue for Thomas nor is he responsible for his lack of production -- the problem lies within a Kings organization that doesn't understand why real PG play is important and a local media that unwittingly goes along with it. There is absolutely zero pressure on Keith Smart to change his ways.

Perry Jones will start for Kevin Durant on Monday.

He has been out of the rotation, but he'll slide into the starting unit tonight. While Jones did have a few big games earlier this year, that came with Russell Westbrook out of the lineup. He's still a very risky play tonight.

Kevin Durant (toe) will not play against the Wolves on Monday.

He suffered the injury in Cleveland on Sunday and it's being called a left great toe sprain. Durant went through warmups, but there was too much soreness and he decided he'll sit. It's anyone's guess if he'll play on Wednesday and the Thunder do only have three games this week. It'll be Russell Westbrook running the show with a host of others stepping up. Expect Dion Waiters and Anthony Morrow to benefit the most. Perry Jones may start, though. It's worth mentioning KD needed surgery on his right foot.
Jan 26 - 7:06 PM

Steven Adams (head) is expected to start against the Wolves on Monday.

He had migraines on Sunday and missed that game, but he'll be back tonight. Adams was playing well before his head issue and he should be able to resume his normal role. His fantasy value has been outside the top 200 in standard leagues over the past month.
Jan 26 - 6:29 PM

Tony Allen (ankle) will not play against the Magic on Monday.

He has a sprained ankle and it's not serious, but the Grizzlies don't need him as much now that Jeff Green is around. Expect Green and Courtney Lee to play a little more tonight. Additionally, Victor Oladipo has a better matchup.
Jan 26 - 6:26 PM

Kemba Walker will have surgery on a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee and is out indefinitely.

The team has not provided a specific timetable, but usually surgery on a torn lateral meniscus requires 6-8 weeks on the sidelines. That means we might no see Walker on the court until the middle of March and perhaps later. Fantasy owners are going to have to weigh their options on stashing Walker for that long. Brian Roberts should be picked up just about everywhere while Lance Stephenson and Gary Neal pick up some extra value, too.

Nick Young sprained his right ankle in practice on Monday and is questionable to play against the Wizards on Tuesday.

It's strange timing with Young being benched on Sunday night because coach Byron Scott said Young looked like he "didn't want to be here." He's probably a little closer to doubtful, but his owners will want to check back tomorrow for an update. If he's out, Wayne Ellington, Jeremy Lin and Wes Johnson benefit most.
Jan 26 - 3:34 PM

Kemba Walker (knee) is leaning towards undergoing surgery on his left knee due to meniscus damage.

He had a meniscus injury back in high school and it's been a problem for him in the past couple weeks. The surgery would cost him six weeks of playing time, which means he would be looking at a return in mid-March. If he does opt to have the surgery, Brian Roberts would get the start and should be owned in all standard leagues. Lance Stephenson should run the offense more and have a higher ceiling in fantasy leagues.
Jan 26 - 3:32 PM

Kobe Bryant will have surgery on his right rotator cuff and is out indefinitely.

The Lakers will not announce a specific timetable yet, but he is out for the season. Bryant will have the surgery on Wednesday morning and the Lakers will provide more information on a prognosis following the procedure. His fantasy owners can drop him in all re-draft leagues. The Lakers will use more of Jordan Clarkson and Wayne Ellington in their starting lineup while coach Byron Scott is going to mix and match his way with his starters all year. Wes Johnson, Ryan Kelly and Nick Young also benefit.
Jan 26 - 3:19 PM

Michael Carter-Williams (illness) will not play on Monday against the Pelicans, and Larry Drew II will make his first NBA start.

Drew has been the backup point guard since Tony Wroten (knee) went down, but he hasn't eclipsed 24 minutes in any contest. He's got a great chance to do that on Monday without MCW available and nobody else behind him. His career-high for assists in a game is nine, the same number as his career-high in points. We're not expecting a miracle, but he's got a sizable opportunity in front of him.
Jan 26 - 12:29 PM

Kemba Walker is in New York to get a second opinion on his knee injury.

It's not ideal, but it's not necessarily bad news, either. There has been a lot of smoke suggesting that Walker needs surgery and would be better off doing it now, but a final determination has not been made. Walker's MRI results will give us a much better idea of what to expect going forward. Losing Kemba for an extended period of time would be detrimental, and the void would leave Lance Stephenson, Brian Roberts and Gary Neal picking up extra time.
Jan 26 - 12:13 PM

Bismack Biyombo (knee) has been diagnosed with a bone bruise, and he's expected to be reevaluated in approximately 10 days.

Biyombo will not do any impact activities during that stretch of time. Biyombo had found his groove after not playing earlier this season, and he's averaged 6.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks on 55.6 percent shooting over 13 games as a starter. Big Al Jefferson should move back into the starting lineup, but the Hornets are now dangerously thin behind him with just Jason Maxiell, Cody Zeller and Noah Vonleh.
