Latest Headlines

Kirk Hinrich (knee) will not play against the Nets on Saturday.

Hinrich tried to warm up and it looked like he had every intention to play, but coach Tom Thibodeau decided to keep Kirk out of the lineup. Nate Robinson will start and Marquis Teague will come off the bench to take care of the point guard duties for Chicago.

Anthony Davis (left adductor) will not play on Monday vs. the Rockets.

Davis did warm up, so hopefully this is just a day-to-day thing. This injury has now sidelined him for four games this season and looks like it could linger for a while. Dante Cunningham will start in Davis' place, but he's a poor fantasy option. DeMarcus Cousins, Jrue Holiday and E'Twaun Moore will all have increased roles in the offense with Davis out.
Dec 11 - 7:20 PM

Al Horford (knee) said he will play on Monday vs. the Bulls.

He was originally a game-time call, so his knee likely felt pretty good in warmups. It's a really good sign that the Celtics are letting him play at less than 100 percent against one of the worst teams in the leagues, and a lot of offense will run through him with Kyrie Irving (quad) out.
Dec 11 - 7:12 PM

Al Horford (knee) will be a game-time call for Monday's game against the Bulls.

Horford is feeling better, but the Celtics won't make a firm decision until after he gets through his pregame routine. If he is able to get out there, he figures to see a decent uptick in usage with Kyrie Irving (quad) unavailable, so he could potentially be someone to think about in daily leagues. Stay tuned.
Dec 11 - 6:46 PM

Chandler Parsons (rest) will play Monday vs. Miami, as expected.

Parsons was rested on Saturday, but he'll be back in action tonight which will mean fewer minutes for Jarrell Martin and Dillon Brooks. Parsons isn't much more than a 3-point specialist in deep leagues.
Dec 11 - 6:43 PM

Marcus Smart is starting in place of Kyrie Irving (quad) on Monday vs. the Bulls.

Irving's injury isn't considered serious and the Celtics are probably just being cautious because of the opponent. Smart is a strong play tonight if you can live with his poor field goal percentage. In four previous starts, Smart posted 10.8 points, 5.5 assists, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.5 3-pointers.
Dec 11 - 6:43 PM

Paul George (calf) will be in the starting lineup for Monday's matchup with the Hornets.

He'll be returning from a two-game absence, and there's been no word on any sort of minutes limit, so go ahead and get him active. With PG-13 back in action, there won't be as much opportunity on offense for Carmelo Anthony and Alex Abrines.
Dec 11 - 6:41 PM

Anthony Davis (left adductor) will test out his injury in warmups before making a decision on his status for Monday's game vs. Houston.

Davis played 40 minutes on Sunday and aggravated the same injury that sidelined him for three straight games. It sounds like he could be limited if he plays, so we'll keep our eyes peeled for any word on restrictions.
Dec 11 - 6:38 PM

Andre Roberson (ankle) will not play Monday vs. Charlotte.

Billy Donovan won't announce who will move into the starting lineup with Roberson unavailable until we're closer to tip-off, but Alex Abrines has played well sans Paul George (calf) over the past two, so he'll likely be the guy that gets the call. The Thunder play again on Wednesday in Indiana, and for now, we'll be considering Roberson questionable for that one.
Dec 11 - 6:33 PM

Marcus Morris (sore left knee) is expected to miss "extended time" according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Morris will work with the Celtics to find a solution for his nagging knee injury and it sounds like they're going to take their time. Morris believes that he'll be out for at least a couple weeks, but no timetable has been given and we'll list him as out indefinitely. Semi Ojeleye, Daniel Theis and Aron Baynes are all candidates to pick up minutes in Morris' absence, but Baynes is probably the player deep-league owners should think about grabbing.
Dec 11 - 6:32 PM

James Harden (left calf) will play Monday vs. the Pelicans, as expected.

He was being listed as probable, so no surprises here. Go ahead and get the MVP-candidate active for an uptempo matchup against one of the worst teams in the league at defending the shooting guard position.
Dec 11 - 6:28 PM

Nikola Mirotic will start in place of Lauri Markkanen (back) on Monday vs. Boston.

The rookie is day-to-day with back spasms, so Mirotic has an excellent chance to make a case for a larger workload going forward. His first two games have gone pretty well, as he's averaging 12.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 triples in 17.5 minutes per game. Fantasy owners can view him as a boom-or-bust option.
