Kawhi Leonard (quad) could make his return on Monday against the Thunder.

This isn't official confirmation that Leonard will be back, but there are no injuries reported on the pre-game outlook from San Antonio, and Leonard has appeared on the injured list routinely. It makes sense given that Leonard's return was imminent last week, and a big game against the Thunder would be a good time to get him back. Owners will have to check back for an update, but Leonard should be owned in all formats.

Reggie Jackson drained 10-of-20 shots en route to 26 points on Wednesday, adding five boards, four assists and two 3-pointers in an easy 118-95 win vs. Atlanta.

Detroit scored 42 points in the first quarter tonight, their highest-scoring quarter of the entire season, and Jackson was the early engine of the offense. He's really found a groove in January, averaging 19.5 points, 1.8 triples, 5.4 assists and 0.9 steals, which is more in line with his numbers from last season. His owners' patience is finally paying off.
Jan 19 - 12:09 AM

Anthony Davis (hip, thumb) played 29 minutes on Wednesday, finishing with 21 points (9-of-17 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 14 rebounds, four assists and one block.

AD survived yet another injury scare tonight when he left to get X-rays on his left hand, but he quickly returned while wearing a splint on two fingers. He seems to be perpetually banged up, yet he's only missed three games this season. The risk of a shutdown is limited by the fact that New Orleans is just 1.5 games out of the playoff picture, and thus far Davis has paid off richly for his risk-taking owners. As a precaution, we'll add him to the injury report ahead of Friday's home game vs. Brooklyn.
Jan 19 - 12:00 AM

Isaiah Thomas lit up the Knicks for a game-high 39 points in a losing effort on Wednesday, making 12-of-25 FGs and 10-of-10 FTs with five 3-pointers, three boards and two assists.

Thomas came in averaging 10.1 points in the fourth quarter this season, the highest mark since NBA.com began tracking the stat in 1997-98. Another stat worth remembering, especially for DFS purposes, is that Thomas came in averaging 36.5 points in games that Avery Bradley missed this season. Brad Stevens hinted that Bradley could miss more time with his sore Achilles, so Thomas' outlook this week is even better than usual.
Jan 18 - 11:32 PM

Al Horford shot just 2-of-14 from the field on Wednesday to score five points with 10 assists, seven rebounds, one steal and one block.

Horford was 1-of-10 from the field at halftime with six attempts behind the arc, which was taking the stretch-center concept a little too far. The assists were a season-high and his boards tied Amir Johnson (10 points, seven boards, two blocks) for the team-high, but Boston still got "pummeled" on the glass with a 57-33 disadvantage. Horford should have much better luck vs. the Blazers' frontcourt on Saturday.
Jan 18 - 11:31 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 32 points in a 111-92 loss to the Rockets on Wednesday, adding 11 rebounds, six assists, one steal, three blocks and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes.

He was the only player in his game to get double-digit boards and some of that was due to him playing center in this game. This was his eighth 30-point game on the season and 17th double-double. His scoring efficiency is truly elite over his last 14, posting a 64.4 true shooting percentage on a 29.9 usage rate. Now that he has his jumper work, Giannis is one of the most unstoppable scorers in the NBA at age 22.
Jan 18 - 11:30 PM

Derrick Rose tied his season high with 30 points during Wednesday's win in Boston, hitting 13-of-24 FGs and 4-of-4 FTs with 10 rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks.

Rose isn't known for his efficiency but he's looked very good in New York's past five games, averaging 21.5 points on combined 45-of-83 shooting (54.2 percent). He also has zero 3-pointers in that span, and tonight's defensive stats were a rarity, but his owners aren't complaining. If you've been waiting for a sell-high moment, this is it.
Jan 18 - 11:26 PM

Otto Porter made a career-high six 3-pointers to help him get to 25 points against the Grizzlies on Wednesday, adding seven rebounds, one steal and no turnovers in 34 minutes.

The 3-pointers have been a trend for Porter lately. In his last 13 games, he's averaged 2.7 treys, 16.4 points, 5.2 boards, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.8 blocks on 55.9 percent from the field -- good for a 69.0 true shooting percentage. He's been a top-15 player in that span and on the season overall, too. Porter is arguably the best value pick in fantasy this season.
Jan 18 - 10:43 PM

Joel Embiid (illness) racked up 26 points (6-of-13 FGs, 12-of-14 FTs) with two 3-pointers, nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 27 minutes on Wednesday.

The Sixers said recently that Embiid's 28-minute limit will not be increased this season, but that's obviously not a deal-breaker for fantasy owners. Even with the limit in place he's been an early round value in January, averaging a stellar 22.5 points, 0.7 threes, 9.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.5 blocks. He's the first Sixers rookie since Allen Iverson to score 20+ points in 10 straight games, and he even earned "M-V-P" chants from the home crowd tonight. Give him another season or two, and that might not be far-fetched.
Jan 18 - 10:37 PM

Arron Afflalo will start and Garrett Temple will move to the bench on Wednesday against the Pacers.

It makes sense because the Kings need Temple to be the backup point guard. Temple's value is fine off the bench while Afflalo can stay on the wire.
Jan 18 - 10:30 PM

Jodie Meeks suffered a dislocated right thumb on Wednesday and will not return.

The good news is X-rays were negative, so he didn't break anything. That said, he will need an MRI on Thursday to check for ligament damage. Meeks finished with five points, four rebounds, two steals and two turnovers in 16 minutes. Maybe, just maybe coach Frank Vogel will play Mario Hezonja, who is only worth a speculative add in very deep leagues for now. C.J. Watson should also get more minutes.
Jan 18 - 9:48 PM

Ty Lawson (ankle) will not play against the Pacers on Wednesday night.

He tried to test out his ankle, but apparently wasn't as healthy as expected. With Lawson out tonight. Garrett Temple should get some minutes as the backup point guard to go with some minutes at the two. Darren Collison is also coming off a 21-pont game and could have some success against his former team.
