James Harden scored 28 points on 9-of-18 shooting (2-of-6 3PTs, 8-of-9 FTs) with 10 rebounds, three assists, and two steals in Monday's win over the Knicks.

Harden is a top 4-6 play right now in fantasy leagues and we see no reason why he can't keep it up.

Marcus Smart (ankle) will not play on Sunday against the Blazers.

It seems hard to believe that he is even close to a return after an ugly ankle injury. The Celtics are off until Friday following Sunday's game, so perhaps Smart will be ready for that contest. Phil Pressey should get some extra run tomorrow while Marcus Thornton and Evan Turner also see a bump.

Kobe Bryant (rest) did not practice on Saturday.

Coach Byron Scott said he had him rest for heavy legs. "He’s such a workaholic that sometimes it can hurt you more than help you. So I told him ‘I’ll see you Sunday,‘" Scott said. Bryant definitely looked like he needed the rest with he and Nick Young missing their first 12 shots in an embarrassing loss to the Mavericks on Friday. He'll be ready on Sunday against the Nuggets.
Nov 22 - 4:31 PM

Jeremy Lin (back) and Carlos Boozer (shoulder) skipped practice on Saturday.

Both injuries are not considered serious. Lin did have to battle two different bouts with back pain last season and it did cost him some game action, so this isn't nothing. The Lakers cannot afford for Lin to go down and would be down to Ronnie Price and Jordan Clarkson. Neither player are worth a grab at this juncture and we'll give Lin the benefit of the doubt for now.
Nov 22 - 4:23 PM

Russell Westbrook (hand) went through portions of Saturday's non-contact practice.

He is still in the rehab process and there is no timetable for his return just yet. Westbrook will be re-evaluated later this month and he could be back in the lineup soon after than. Reggie Jackson will certainly take a hit, but he should still be worth owning in standard leagues.

Kevin Durant (foot) went through a non-contact practice on Saturday.

He only did some of the drills, but coach Scott Brooks said the reigning MVP "looked good." Durant is going to have his foot evaluated on Thanksgiving, so that could be a big day in determining when he will be back. Brooks also said he's not sure what the plan will be on KD's minutes upon his return. Regardless, his owners can start to get excited about his return. Also, owners of Perry Jones, Anthony Morrow and Andre Roberson might want to start looking for alternatives.

Cory Joseph (ankle) and Matt Bonner (illness) are doubtful to face the Nets on Saturday.

The Spurs are going to be in a little bit of trouble tonight with no backup point guard. In previous instances, they have used Manu Ginobili as the primary ball handler in the second unit and that should be the case tonight. Austin Daye may also get some extra playing time.
Nov 22 - 2:34 PM

Kevin Garnett will miss his first game of the season on Saturday to get some rest.

KG is averaging 22.8 minutes per game but he exceeded 30 minutes in Wednesday's triple-overtime loss, and it's not surprising to see the Nets give their veteran PF a night off. Mirza Teletovic should start in his place, making him a terrific fill-in fantasy option, with a few more minutes trickling down to Mason Plumlee.

Kevin Durant (foot) and Russell Westbrook (hand) "looked good" in non-contact portions of Saturday's practice, according to coach Scott Brooks.

Both players will be evaluated around Thanksgiving, conceivably setting up returns on Friday, Nov. 28 or Tuesday, Dec. 2. It's encouraging that Durant has ramped up to limited practice six weeks after being diagnosed with a Jones fracture, which left him with an initial timetable of 6-8 weeks.
Nov 22 - 1:35 PM

Dwight Howard (strained right knee) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Mavericks.

Dwight had been considered doubtful so this is an encouraging update, but owners will need to check for updates closer to tip-off. He recently had a plasma-rich platelet injection and may need to sit out another game to avoid aggravating the strain, in which case Tarik Black would earn another start with extra minutes filtering down to Kostas Papanikolaou and Donatas Motiejunas.
Nov 22 - 1:28 PM

C.J. Miles (calf) will not play vs. the Suns on Saturday.

Miles has played just four minutes in Indiana's previous seven games due to a migraine and his calf injury, but he was able to go through a few shooting drills on Thursday. His return will give the Pacers' bench a nice boost but he's unlikely to be helpful to standard-league fantasy owners.
Nov 22 - 12:44 PM

Norris Cole (finger) is doubtful to play vs. the Magic on Saturday.

The original diagnosis of a dislocated finger hasn't been changed, but owners should prepare to be without him for at least one game. "He's still splinted," said Erik Spoelstra, "but it could turn into a playable splint." Shabazz Napier's playing time gets a big boost with this news, and he'll likely start alongside Mario Chalmers in the backcourt if Cole doesn't play. Napier is worth a look as a temporary option at PG.
