Ricky Rubio (knee) will not play on Tuesday against the Heat.

This is just a reminder that Rubio will not play in back-to-back games as he works himself back into action. Owners should make sure he's on the bench, with Luke Ridnour, Alexey Shved and J.J. Barea all seeing an increase in minutes.

Spencer Dinwiddie, Sean Kilpatrick, Bojan Bogdanovic, Trevor Booker and Brook Lopez will start against the Hornets on Saturday.

The Nets will keep the NBA's newest sensation, Caris LeVert, on the bench. That's OK, though. Coach Kenny Atkinson likes LeVert a lot as a ball-handler, so he should be very busy in the second unit. As for Kilpatrick, he's been struggling lately, so maybe the day off helps him.

Tyler Johnson (left shoulder strain) will not play against the Bucks on Saturday.

The team is listing his as day-to-day with this injury, which may have been suffered on Thursday. Johnson does come off the bench, but the team calls him Mr. Fourth Quarter for a reason. With him out, we're probably going to see some Dion Waiters at the point, so don't be surprised if he comes off the bench. Wayne Ellington is also likely looking at more starts and may even start.
Jan 21 - 5:52 PM

Joakim Noah (ankle) is available to play against the Suns on Saturday.

We'll see if he starts, but he might not be with the Knicks going 5-1 without him. If Noah is going to play, that should take away from Kyle O'Quinn the most. The Knicks also used a ton of Kristaps Porzingis at the five in their last one, so that'll be something we'll watch, as well. Noah isn't worth owning.
Jan 21 - 5:48 PM

Justin Hamilton (rest) will not play against the Hornets on Saturday.

It's his turn to get the day off in a back-to-back set. With Trevor Booker getting the night off on Friday, he basically slides right back into his old role -- Hamilton played all power forward on Friday. We should see a lot of Rondae Hollis-Jefferson at the four.
Jan 21 - 5:46 PM

Jahlil Okafor will start for Joel Embiid (rest) against the Hawks on Saturday.

Okafor was a monster in his last start for Embiid with a season-high 26 points. Although, Nerlens Noel was in foul trouble and was hurt, so it was a perfect storm for Okafor to have a good game. He's a viable player to use today, but his long-term value doesn't look great.
Jan 21 - 5:43 PM

D'Angelo Russell (knee) did not travel with the team for Sunday's game against the Mavs.

The team is still awaiting the results of his MRI. There's no word of him rejoining with the team, so he's almost certainly out. Russell doesn't seem to be concerned about this injury long term and hopefully he only needs one game off. With him out, Lou Williams and Jordan Clarkson should be starting in most formats while Jose Calderon will see more run.
Jan 21 - 5:13 PM

Ed Davis (ankle) is out for Saturday against the Celtics.

He didn't exactly look right on Friday and it wasn't just because he had to guard Joel Embiid. With Davis back, there could be a few extra minutes for Meyers Leonard, Al-Farouq Aminu and Noah Vonleh. There's no need to react to this news.
Jan 21 - 3:50 PM

Avery Bradley (Achilles) is likely out for the upcoming week.

It makes a lot of sense for Boston. If you've seen what happened to J.J. Barea (calf, Achilles) and Kristaps Porzingis with their multiple stints off due to Achilles/lower-calf issues, the Celtics clearly want to get Bradley back and keep him back. While he's out, we'll get Marcus Smart in the starting lineup while Terry Rozier gets some combo guard minutes. Jaylen Brown would also be in the rotation.
Jan 21 - 3:28 PM

Jonas Jerebko (illness) will not play against the Blazers on Saturday.

He was probable, but the team will keep him out. With Jerebko and Tyler Zeller (illness) out, we might get a little Jordan Mickey action. There should be some extra run going to Amir Johnson and Kelly Olynyk as we ll. Olynyk has played well and is a viable option today. He's worth a look in standard leagues, but we've seen him fall off several times.
Jan 21 - 3:23 PM

Luol Deng (wrist) went through a full practice on Saturday and is questionable to play against the Mavs on Sunday.

That's a great sign for Deng to return. Deng was previous ruled out "indefinitely" earlier this week, but it was just their way of saying they didn't know how long his shooting wrist would bother him. With Brandon Ingram playing much better and Larry Nance back, Deng may not be returning to the same role he had before the injury. Most owners can take a wait-and-see approach.
Jan 21 - 2:55 PM

Anthony Davis (right quad) did not practice on Saturday.

Coach Alvin Gentry said he doesn't believe it will be a long-term issue. Davis has been taking an absurd amount of bumps and bruises lately and he was limping around for most of the second half on Friday. He's gone to the locker room more often than not lately, which has been a thorn in the side of his fantasy owners in DFS and in season long. The Pelicans are off until Monday, so he should be better for that one. Terrence Jones should still be owned in standard leagues.
