Ricky Rubio (knee) will not play on Tuesday against the Heat.

This is just a reminder that Rubio will not play in back-to-back games as he works himself back into action. Owners should make sure he's on the bench, with Luke Ridnour, Alexey Shved and J.J. Barea all seeing an increase in minutes.

Jameer Nelson, Jae Crowder, and Brandan Wright did not arrive in time for shootaround, and their status for Friday's game vs. Minnesota is uncertain.

With Marcus Smart (Achilles) being listed as questionable, and Jameer's status uncertain, Evan Turner could draw the start on Friday in a favorable matchup vs. the Timberwolves. Jae Crowder would likely play sparingly behind Jeff Green if available, so his status shouldn't matter in most leagues, while Brandan Wright's spot in the rotation is not clear at this point. Stay tuned for an official update closer to tip-off.

Amare Stoudemire is questionable to play Saturday vs. the Suns.

Amare started out of necessity on Thursday with Carmelo Anthony (knee), J.R. Smith (foot), and Iman Shumpert (shoulder) sidelined and put up 16 points, six rebounds, and four blocks in a losing effort to the Bulls. If he's able to go on Saturday, he'll be one of the primary options on offense for a depleted Knicks squad. If he sits, expect his minutes to be split up between Cole Aldrich, Quincy Acy, and Travis Wear.

Carmelo Anthony (knee) is being listed as questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Suns.

There has been talk of Anthony shutting things down to get his knee right, so we'd say he's more on the doubtful side of questionable. If he's unable to go Travis Wear could get another start, but he shouldn't be considered an option in standard leagues. Tim Hardaway Jr., however, would be a primary option on offense if Melo is unavailable, so he’d be the guy to target in dailies. Stay tuned.
Dec 19 - 12:50 PM

J.R. Smith (foot) is being listed as doubtful for Saturday's game vs. the Suns.

Smith has been a train wreck this season, and given his obvious struggles with grasping the triangle offense, he shouldn't be viewed as a stash candidate in standard leagues. If he's unable to go Saturday, Tim Hardaway Jr. will get all the minutes he can handle, and he'd make for a quality option in daily leagues. Stay tuned.
Dec 19 - 12:42 PM

Kevin Durant (ankle) will be a game-time decision for Friday's game vs. the Lakers.

OKC doesn’t necessarily need Durant for a game vs. the Lakers, so that is something that should be considered. If he's unable to go, Perry Jones would likely slide into the starting lineup, and he'd make for a quality plug-and-play option in daily leagues. We'll be monitoring this situation closely, so stay tuned for more updates as we draw closer to tip-off.
Dec 19 - 12:37 PM

According to beat reporter Jerry Zgoda, Flip Saunders has been contemplating inserting Shabazz Muhammad into the starting lineup to add some scoring to start the games.

This is an interesting report, and with trade rumors swirling around Corey Brewer, Muhammad is worth a speculative add in standard leagues. Over the past two weeks, Muhammad is averaging 18.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steal per game while shooting 50.0 percent from the field and 69.8 percent from the line (on 6.1 attempts). However, his value would take a hit once Kevin Martin (wrist) returns.
Dec 19 - 12:31 PM

Mike Miller will reportedly be inserted into the starting lineup for Friday's game vs. the Nets, sending Shawn Marion to the bench.

This is an interesting move, and it'll be interesting to see how Miller's body holds up with the extended minutes. Miller is coming into this game with averages of 1.5 points and 2.1 rebounds over 12 minutes of action, so owners in standard leagues can use a wait-and-see approach with the injury-prone veteran.
Dec 19 - 12:18 PM

Jermaine O'Neal is reportedly "highly intrigued" with the possibility of joining the Mavericks in pursuit of a title.

O'Neal currently resides in the Dallas area, and is familiar with Rick Carlisle's system as he played for him during his time with the Pacers. The Warriors and Cavaliers also remain in the running to acquire O'Neal's services, but the Mavericks have the edge for now. O'Neal will be a reserve wherever he lands, and won't be worth owning in standard leagues.
Dec 19 - 12:13 PM

The Hornets have reportedly pulled Lance Stephenson off the trading block as none of the offers they received were enticing enough to pull the trigger on a deal.

The Hornets believe that Stephenson's groin injury has hindered him all season, and is the main culprit to his lack of production thus far. Charlotte feels that the injury affected Stephenson's movement and conditioning, and they would like to see him at full strength before sending him away for pennies on the dollar. While Stephenson may get traded away at some point this season, it is not likely to happen any time soon.
Dec 19 - 12:01 PM

Mo Williams (back) has been upgraded to a game-time decision for Friday's game vs. Boston.

Williams got a second opinion on his back on Thursday, which confirmed that the issue he is dealing with is only muscular. However, if Williams is able to suit up, he won't be able to play much more than 12 minutes, which simply isn't enough time to contribute in a meaningful way to the stat sheet. With Ricky Rubio nearing a return, Williams can be left on the wire in standard leagues.
Dec 19 - 11:47 AM

Dwyane Wade said that he's completely over his stomach virus.

The virus really didn't limit him too much at all, as he went off for a season-high 42 points during his last outing. Wade is going to be asked to carry Miami's offense while Chris Bosh (calf) is sidelined, and he remains an excellent option in daily leagues.
