Anderson Varejao appeared to bang knees with another player on Tuesday and briefly went to the locker room near the end of the first quarter before returning to play in the second quarter.

He stayed in the game to shoot free throws and didn't look like he wanted to go with the trainer to the locker room, and it appears he simply suffered a minor right knee contusion. Hopefully he makes it through the rest of the game unscathed.

D'Angelo Russell (knee) will not play Wednesday vs. the Spurs.

Russell did not practice on Tuesday, but he'll be active at Wednesday morning's shootaround. He recently went through a 5-on-5 scrimmage with Brooklyn's G-League affiliate, so he has to be close. His next opportunity to get out there will be Friday against Miami. Allen Crabbe could head back to the second unit once Russell gets back to the court, and Caris LeVert's value could take a hit.
Jan 16 - 2:44 PM

Frank Kaminsky (ankle) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.

Kaminsky sprained his right ankle during the fourth quarter of Monday's win over the Pistons, and he was in a good amount of pain after the injury, so it wouldn't be shocking to see him sit out Wednesday's game. We should have another update following Wednesday morning's shootaround, but if he's out, Marvin Williams and Dwight Howard would likely split most of his minutes. Johnny O'Bryant could also get into the rotation, but he wouldn't be a fantasy target.
Jan 16 - 2:20 PM

Brandon Ingram (left ankle sprain) was able to practice with the team on Tuesday and said he was "confident" he would be able to play Wednesday vs. OKC.

Ingram, who was held out of Monday's loss to Memphis, did admit he was "a little sore," but was able to sprint and cut on his ankle in Tuesday's practice. The Lakers will determine Ingram's status for Wednesday's game based upon how the ankle responds to Tuesday's activity, but it's worth noting that head coach Luke Walton also said he expects Ingram to play. If he is able to get back out there, Josh Hart would get bumped back to the bench.
Jan 16 - 1:45 PM

Lonzo Ball (sprained left knee) was unable to practice on Tuesday.

The MRI on Ball's knee came back clean and ruled out any structural damage; however, he was unable to play Monday vs. Memphis. Luke Walton said he doesn't expect Ball to play on Wednesday against OKC, and owners can expect official confirmation following Wednesday morning's shootaorund. If he's out, Tyler Ennis, Josh Hart and Jordan Clarkson will continue to see extended minutes.
Jan 16 - 1:39 PM

Avery Bradley (groin) did not practice on Tuesday and is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Raptors.

This is concerning news, as Bradley was sidelined for seven straight games from mid-December through early January due to a right groin strain. Hopefully, this is more of a maintenance day off for Bradley, as opposed to a re-aggravation. We'll have to wait for a clear update from coach Stan Van Gundy before jumping to conclusions. Luke Kennard (thumb) and Stanley Johnson (hip) are also questionable for Wednesday, which means Detroit may be shorthanded at SG and on the wing.
Jan 16 - 1:28 PM

James Harden, Trevor Ariza and Gerald Green reportedly pushed into the Clippers' locker room on Monday night looking to confront Austin Rivers, but security intervened before anything physical took place.

It's uncertain if players will face fines or suspensions from the league as a result of the altercation, but we'll keep an eye on it closely. Head coach Mike D'Antoni said Harden could return from his hamstring injury Thursday or Saturday, but any kind of penalty from the league could delay his return. Stay tuned. The teams meet again Feb. 28.
Jan 16 - 1:43 AM

Chris Paul finished with 19 points, seven assists, rebounds and a blocked shot over 35 minutes in Monday's game against the Clippers, his first game against his former team.

CP3 was given a hearty ovation from the home crowd before the game, and then the Clips spoiled the homecoming with a 113-102 victory. He finished 8-of-17 from the field, including 3-of-10 from behind the 3-point line, while turning it over just once. He has picked up the pace with James Harden (hamstring) on the mend, posting at least six or more rebounds and six or more assists in each of his seven games in January while averaging 24.8 points per game over the past six contests.
Jan 16 - 1:13 AM

Isaiah Thomas returned from a maintenance rest on Monday but hit just 8-of-21 shots and 1-of-7 3-pointers for 19 points and four assists in 32 minutes.

Maybe we should start calling him the 'Rust Guy' instead of the 'Pizza Guy,' as it's going to take him a minute to shake off the rust after missing seven months with his hip injury. The good news is that he played 32 minutes and hasn't had any issues with the hip, so it should only be a matter of time before he gets the ship righted.
Jan 15 - 11:00 PM

Kings coach Dave Joerger said that he will be resting two veterans in every game going forward.

It apparently started on Monday vs. the Thunder, as Zach Randolph and Vince Carter both picked up DNP-CDs without any warning from the coaching staff or reporters. The Kings are going to focus on their younger players going forward, so in addition to Z-Bo and Carter, George Hill, Garrett Temple and Kosta Koufos are going to be constant threats for rest days.
Jan 15 - 10:58 PM

Russell Westbrook scored 19 points with 16 rebounds, nine assists, one steal and 10 turnovers before he was ejected with 2:51 to play against the Kings on Monday.

Westbrook thought he was fouled on a layup attempt and completely lost it on the refs, picking up a double technical in the process. He'll be fined by the NBA, but his fantasy owners don't have to worry about a suspension. He finished 8-of-14 from the field, but hit just 3-of-7 from the line in what was a very inefficient night. This was the 8th game of his career with 10 or more turnovers, but he should have a monster night against the Lakers on Wednesday to make up for it.
Jan 15 - 10:35 PM

DeAndre Jordan (ankle) will not play on Monday vs. the Rockets.

We've been in the dark for a while here with nothing but the game notes to go by, but coach Doc Rivers confirmed that DJ is out tonight and added that he would be surprised if he played on Wednesday vs. the Nuggets. Willie Reed was terrific on Saturday in a fill-in start, putting up 14 points with 13 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals in 26 minutes.
