Anderson Varejao appeared to bang knees with another player on Tuesday and briefly went to the locker room near the end of the first quarter before returning to play in the second quarter.

He stayed in the game to shoot free throws and didn't look like he wanted to go with the trainer to the locker room, and it appears he simply suffered a minor right knee contusion. Hopefully he makes it through the rest of the game unscathed.

Phil Jackson is reportedly a fan of Ricky Rubio.

According to David Aldridge, Tom Thibodeau is "not really enamored" with Ricky Rubio right now, and he feels Derrick Rose would be an "upgrade" at the point guard position, which is a pretty fascinating take. A straight up Rose-Rubio swap would work under the cap guidelines, and with Thibs reportedly making a strong push for Rose, this is certainly a deal we could see go down on deadline day.

Teams around the league have reportedly been re-engaging with the 76ers on a Nerlens Noel trade.

Adrian Wojnarowski reports that if the 76ers are unable to find a trade partner for Jahlil Okafor they will shift their focus to sending away Noel, but the biggest stumbling block here for a Noel deal is that he's about to be a restricted free agent. Teams reportedly want to know what it will cost to retain Noel as a free agent, and with Woj reporting that Noel is seeking a "big number," that may be enough to scare some teams away who don't have the cap room to re-sign him this offseason.

The Celtics are reportedly still interested in Jahlil Okafor.

The Celtics still view Jimmy Butler and Paul George as their primary targets for any deadline day deal, but if Boston can't pull off a major move, they may turn their eyes towards Okafor. David Aldridge boldly stated during an appearance on NBA TV on Tuesday night that Okafor "will get moved" by the deadline and that Philly has "a lot of offers" on the table. He's also been linked to the Pacers and Kings, and the Kings would be the best landing spot in terms of fantasy hoops.

Danilo Gallinari (groin) and Kenneth Faried (ankle) went through practice on Tuesday.

The Nuggets are "hopeful" that they will be both be available for Thursday's game vs. the Kings. Gallo has missed the past eight games for the Nuggets, but his fantasy owners should be more concerned about whether or not he's traded at the deadline -- the Celtics, Rockets and Clippers are all rumored destinations. A move would more than likely hurt his value, but at least he's healthy again.
Feb 21 - 8:41 PM

According to ESPN, the Jazz are interested in trading for Deron Williams at the deadline.

The Mavs aren't going anywhere and Williams is on an expiring contract, so his asking price should be relatively low. The Jazz haven't gotten much production out of Shelvin Mack or Dante Exum, and they have even tried Alec Burks as their backup PG for stretches. Williams would lose a lot of value in Utah and would surely come off the bench behind George Hill, so this potential move would be bad news for his fantasy owners. On the flip side, Yogi Ferrell would get a significant bump in Dallas.
Feb 21 - 8:35 PM

Emmanuel Mudiay (back) will play on Thursday vs. the Kings.

After making it through a full practice on Tuesday, the PG is ready to return after missing 11 out of the last 14 games. With the Nuggets hoping for a playoff push, Jameer Nelson is still the better player to own in standard leagues unless the veteran is moved at the deadline. Mudiay is only a pickup in points leagues for now.
Feb 21 - 8:29 PM

According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Wizards have expressed interest in Shabazz Muhammad.

The Wizards were in hot pursuit of Lou Williams, but he was just traded to the Rockets. The Wizards are looking to upgrade their bench at the deadline and Muhammad has been shopped by the Wolves in the past. The swingman would have a limited role off the bench behind Otto Porter if he was moved to Washington, so there's no stash appeal here. The 24-year-old wing is averaging 9.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.8 3-pointers in 19.6 minutes for the Wolves this season.
Feb 21 - 8:17 PM

Willy Hernangomez will start at center on Thursday vs. the Cavaliers.

Joakim Noah tweaked his hamstring right before the break and will probably miss extended time. The rookie looks like a great pickup and is averaging 11.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 block and 1.7 steals in three previous starts this season. His rest-of-season outlook is very promising, especially if the Knicks are sellers at the deadline.
Feb 21 - 8:10 PM

Joakim Noah (left hamstring) will not play on Thursday vs. the Cavaliers.

This will be the sixth game in a row on the shelf for the oft-injured big man as he tweaked his hamstring again right before the All-Star break. Based on his history, don't expect him back soon. Willy Hernangomez will draw the start according to coach Jeff Hornacek and looks like a great pickup in standard leagues. Kyle O'Quinn also gets a nice bump.
Feb 21 - 8:04 PM

The Rockets will send Corey Brewer and a first-round pick to the Lakers in exchange for Lou Williams.

The Lakers are clearly rebuilding and probably have no use for Brewer, as this trade was all about securing another first-round pick. If Brewer isn't waived by the Lakers, he will provide some depth off the bench behind Brandon Ingram. He's shooting 23.4 percent from deep this season and is not a fantasy pickup. With Williams gone, it makes sense for fantasy owners to add Jordan Clarkson. D'Angelo Russell will also get a nice bump.
Feb 21 - 7:45 PM

The Lakers are sending Lou Williams to the Rockets in exchange for Corey Brewer and a first-round pick.

He was fully expected to be moved before the deadline with several teams expressing interest. Williams will have the green light in Houston and the Rockets attempt the most 3-pointers in the NBA, so while his value will take a hit next to usage monster James Harden, standard-league owners should hold onto him for now. He averaged 18.6 points, 3.2 assists, 2.3 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 2.1 triples in just 24.2 minutes per game with the Lakers, so hopefully the Rockets give him 20+ minutes a night. Don't be surprised if Eric Gordon and Patrick Beverley take a slight hit.
