The Orange County Register's Kevin Ding reported after Tuesday's game that Jodie Meeks is expected to start at shooting guard going forward for the Lakers, pushing Kobe Bryant to small forward, and Metta World Peace to the bench.

Meeks had 17 points, three rebounds, two assists and five 3-pointers on 5-of-13 shooting tonight, and Meeks is averaging 16 points, four rebounds and just over three 3-pointers per game over his last four, all off the bench. If you need 3-pointers, picking up Meeks looks like a great idea.

Kyrie Irving (knee) went through shootaround, but he remains questionable for Game 3 vs. the Hawks on Sunday.

May 24 - 12:07 PM

Kent Bazemore will draw the start in place of Kyle Korver (ankle) for Game 3 vs. the Cavaliers on Sunday.

Korver is out for the remainder of the postseason, so Bazemore should be locked in as the starter moving forward. In 10 starts during the regular season, Bazemore averaged 10.2 points, 4.8 boards, 1.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 3-pointers, so he could be a solid option in daily leagues.

Stephen Curry set the record for most 3-pointers in a postseason during a destruction of the Rockets on Saturday, scoring 40 points with five rebounds, seven assists, two steals, one block and seven 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

The Rockets must have forgot who Stephen Curry is because they continued to leave him open on 3-pointers. He was 3-of-3 from the left corner tonight and is now 91 percent from that area in these playoffs. He's seriously not fair and already has two 40-point games in the playoffs. Maybe the Rockets can guard him on Monday to avoid a sweep.
May 23 - 11:50 PM

Draymond Green was outstanding as per usual during a 115-80 win over the Rockets on Saturday, making 8-of-16 from the field for 17 points with 13 rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer.

He is doing everything and turned in his best offensive game since April. The Warriors are now 55-0 in the regular season and playoffs when they have a 15-point lead. As much credit as their offensive gets, that stat probably wouldn't be true without their shut-down interior defense.
May 23 - 11:45 PM

James Harden made 3-of-16 from the field for 17 points with three rebounds, four assists and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes during an embarrassing 115-80 loss on Saturday.

It was bad. He got away with some contested mid-range shots on Thursday, but they just weren't falling today. Harden actually didn't have any makes at the rim tonight, which has been his bread and butter since joining the Rockets. Plus, his defense has been horrendous. The Rockets will try to keep their season alive on Monday.
May 23 - 11:43 PM

Coach Kevin McHale said on Saturday he'll play Dwight Howard (knee) "as much as we can."

Dwight was helping on defense a lot in Game 2 and it led to some very nice production out of Andrew Bogut. Howard also played 40 minutes in the loss and will likely be in that neighborhood again. McHale also said he expects to hit Howard in the post more, so there could be a 20-point game on the way.
May 23 - 7:21 PM

Kyrie Irving (knee) is questionable to play against the Hawks in Game 3 on Sunday.

"Hopefully he responds well to the little workout he did today," coach David Blatt said. "He's a big part of the team and this series is not finished. But if he's not able to play then he won't. That's the determining factor." For now, it sounds like the Cavs will sit Irving until they get some pressure from the Hawks. Matthew Dellavedova has been effective on defense against Jeff Teague and put up a stat line of 11 points, six boards, four assists, one steal and two 3-pointers. Plus, he attempted 13 shots from the field, which is is second-highest total for field goal attempts in any game in his career.
May 23 - 6:28 PM

Kyle Korver (ankle) will not play in the remainder of the postseason due to a "severe right ankle sprain."

Ouch. While Korver hasn't been great in the postseason, his presence for spacing has been essential to the Hawks' offense. The Hawks haven't been the same due primarily to their struggles from beyond the arc and that burden has just grown with this loss. Kent Bazemore will likely start next to DeMarre Carroll on the wing. Dennis Schroder and Shelvin Mack will also have to step up. The Hawks may also use Mike Scott as a floor spacer in some lineups, which they did on Friday.
May 23 - 2:53 PM

Kyrie Irving (knee) was wearing a soft sleeve on his left knee at practice on Saturday.

Wit the Cavs up 2-0 and now headed to Cleveland for two games, there is little incentive to play Irving at less than 100 percent. While Irving has said that rest won't help, he could conceivably get close to two weeks off if the Cavs can handle their business in the Eastern Conference. Matthew Dellavedova has been a pleasant surprise and will get more playing time.
May 23 - 2:48 PM

Terrence Ross had surgery to remove bone spurs and loose bodies from his left ankle on Friday and he currently has no timetable for a return to basketball activities.

Even though there is no timetable for his return, this was likely a minor procedure and he should hopefully be back on the court soon. Ross had a very disappointing 2014-15 campaign in which he averaged just 9.8 points, 2.8 boards, 1.0 assist and 1.8 3-pointers while shooting just 37.2 percent from the field, so he clearly has a lot to work on this summer. We will track his progress very closely in the coming weeks, but he won't be a target in fantasy drafts just yet.

According to Yahoo Sports, Scott Skiles has emerged as the frontrunner to become the next head coach of the Orlando Magic.

Tom Thibodeau has also been in the mix, but the Magic are reportedly unwilling to offer any compensation to acquire him. Orlando isn't going to rush into a decision, but they could start contract negotiations very soon. If Skiles does get the job, it will be interesting to see how Tobias Harris reacts considering the two didn't have the best relationship when they were in Milwaukee together. We will pass along any further details when we know more.
