The Knicks say Rasheed Wallace was a stress reaction in his foot, but denied there was any sort of fracture.

Well, glad we cleared that up. The Knicks are still calling Sheed day-to-day, so we'll just have to wait and see how his foot responds to rest. While Wallace is out, Steve Novak and Chris Copeland will split up his limited minutes.

The Kings have agreed to trade DeMarcus Cousins to the Pelicans, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Kings are expected to get Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, a future first-round pick and a future second-round pick. This is a stunning move that gives New Orleans an overwhelming frontcourt with Cousins joining All-Star MVP Anthony Davis -- the Pelicans are currently 2.5 games out of the playoff picture, so they could make a late run. Cousins' fantasy value could take a hit in New Orleans, since his usage rate should dip, but he's still an elite fantasy option. Teams on the bubble of the playoff picture out West have been put on notice, and we can't wait to see how Cousins and AD play as a frontcourt duo.

Russell Westbrook scored 41 points during Sunday's All-Star game, making 16-of-26 shots with seven 3-pointers, seven assists, five rebounds and one steal in 20 minutes of action.

Westbrook has no 'off' switch. He threw down an alley-oop from Kevin Durant in the first quarter, which caused the Western Conference bench to serenade both players during a timeout, and the former teammates were the early focal point of tonight's game. His huge line came in just 20 minutes off the bench tonight, and he would have been the MVP for a third straight year if Anthony Davis hadn't blown up for a record-breaking 52 points.

DeMarcus Cousins' agent Jarinn Akana shot down rumors that the Kings are looking to deal Cousins at the trade deadline.

"We met with Vlade [Divac] and ownership and they assured us and DeMarcus that he's not being traded," said Akana. "As far as we're concerned, nothing has changed." The Kings are reportedly willing to listen to potential godfather offers from other teams, but it seems unlikely that Sacramento will be trading away Boogie at the deadline, particularly with Divac at the helm.

The Pelicans have reportedly made Buddy Hield available in trade talks.

Justin Verrier of ESPN reports that anyone on the team not named Anthony Davis could be had for the right price as the Pelicans look to pair their franchise big man with another All-Star, so it'll be interesting to see if they can make a major move on deadline day. The Kings were linked to the Pelicans concerning a potential DeMarcus Cousins trade, although it seems unlikely that New Orleans will be able to land a guy like DMC with just Hield and some first-round picks.
Feb 19 - 6:30 PM

The Celtics have reportedly expressed "deep interest" in P.J. Tucker.

Tucker would add some solid depth to the Celtics, but his playing time would take a substantial hit in Boston, so Tucker owners should be hoping that he remains in Phoenix past the deadline. There have been more than a few trade rumors regarding Tucker, though, so him remaining with the Suns is far from a certainty.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Wizards have some interest in Bojan Bogdanovic.

The Wizards are looking to upgrade their bench at the deadline and have also been linked to Lou Williams. The Nets are looking for draft picks to speed up their rebuild, and the Wizards "have shown an inclination" to give up a future first-round pick for the right deal. Bogdanovic would surely lose value on a team like the Wizards, but his absence could open the door for Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Caris LeVert to have a larger role in Brooklyn's offense.

Glenn Robinson III won the Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday night.

After one of the best Slam Dunk Contests ever last year, this one was a little disappointing. There were a lot of missed dunks and Aaron Gordon just didn't have the bounce that he had last year. Derrick Jones Jr. arguably had the best two dunks on the night, but misses in the final cost him. When he returns to action next week, Robinson III could lose his starting job due to the Pacers looking to deal their first-round pick for some help.
Feb 18 - 10:29 PM

Eric Gordon won the 3-Point Contest on Saturday night.

He tied Kyrie Irving in the final, but dominated in the overtime frame to pass Irving even before the final rack. Gordon actually hasn't shot the ball as well as earlier this year. In fact, he shot 44.1 percent from the field in December, 40.1 percent from there in January, and is at just 37.5 percent this month. Some of this could be due to his injury, so hopefully the time off gets him going again.
Feb 18 - 9:31 PM

Kristaps Porzingis won the Skills Challenge on Saturday night.

He is the first Knick to win the Skills Challenge and is the second big in a row to win it with Karl-Anthony Towns taking it home last year. Porzingis was also effective with 24 points in the World's victory in the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday night, so he had a solid weekend on the court. You could make an argument he should've made the All-Star team over Carmelo Anthony, too. After dealing with an Achilles issue for three different stints last month, he's back up to 31.1 minutes per game in February.
Feb 18 - 8:38 PM

Jamal Murray took home MVP honors in the Rising Stars Challenge during the World's 150-141 win on Friday, scoring 36 points with four rebounds, 11 assists, one steal and nine 3-pointers in just 20 minutes.

The arrows were flying in New Orleans for the No. 7 pick in the 2016 draft. Late in this game, Murray got about as hot as anyone could get this side of Klay Thompson's 37-point third quarter against the Kings, scoring 25 points in the second half tonight. Heading into the second half of the season, Murray could be a more effective scorer with how Mason Plumlee is such a great passer out of the post. Still, he doesn't have a clear path for minutes and the Nuggets looking like they want to go for the No. 8 seed makes it less likely Jameer Nelson is traded. Long term, Murray looks like a good one.
Feb 17 - 11:24 PM

Joel Embiid (knee) said he thinks he can "probably" play in the first game after the All-Star break.

In case you missed it, he had suffered a minor tear to his meniscus late last month. He said as long as the practices go well and he's not dealing with swelling or soreness, he expects to be out there against the Wizards on Feb. 24. Embiid said he's been getting through some workouts about every other day to help get him going, as well. This is encouraging news for The Process and perhaps he can get back out there, but obviously the training staff and front office will have their say on this matter.
