Bradley Beal (back) will start against the Pistons on Saturday.

Beal took a bad spill while going up for a dunk attempt on Josh Smith on Tuesday and he missed two games. The rookie is shooting just 35.8 percent from the field this year, but he is trending upward in his rookie season. Cartier Martin can be cut in most leagues.

Jonas Valanciunas limped out of the arena on Friday due to an ankle injury and is up in the air for Saturday against the Wizards.

He played very well tonight and returned from the injury. Valanciunas made all seven shots from the field for 14 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks in 33 minutes tonight. His ankle is likely going to swell up on him, so Patrick Patterson will likely benefit the most.
Jan 30 - 10:51 PM

Brook Lopez scored 35 points against the Raptors during a 127-122 overtime loss on Friday with 12 rebounds, three steals and three blocks in 41 minutes.

Jarrett Jack and Lopez were the first Nets teammates to score at least 35 points in 1981 (Mike Newline and Cliff T. Robinson). Obviously Lopez is healthy right now and the Nets are probably going to be asking a little more in a trade following this gem. He's a must-start player now, but there are a lot of things that could go wrong. If you can sell high, do it.
Jan 30 - 10:49 PM

Jarrett Jack scored a career-high 35 points against the Raptors on Friday, adding eight rebounds, 13 assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

The Nets said they wanted to keep Jack's minutes down, but tonight was the most playing time he's ever had in an NBA game. Deron Williams (ribs) is going to be back at some point, but Jack will likely get minutes in the mid 20s when that happens. He should be owned everywhere.
Jan 30 - 10:45 PM

Donatas Motiejunas made 11-of-16 from the field for a career-high 26 points against the Celtics on Friday during a 93-87 win, adding 12 rebounds, one assist and three 3-pointers.

He had a productive 16-point game on Wednesday and the loss of Dwight Howard seems like it'll help out D-Mo quite a bit. Motiejunas is more than capable of playing center for the Rockets and the team is really going to push the pace now that they'll have smaller lineups, so he's going to be worth owning in standard leagues for now.
Jan 30 - 10:39 PM

Jeff Teague scored 17 points in a 105-99 win over the Blazers on Friday, adding seven rebounds, eight assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer.

The Hawks have won 18 games in a row and are 32-2 since Thanksgiving. They will take on the 76ers on Saturday, the Pelicans on Monday, the Wizards on Wednesday, and then the Warriors on Friday in what's shaping up to be the best game of the season. As for Teague, he's a top-10 fantasy guard and his owners can enjoy the ride.
Jan 30 - 10:14 PM

Al Horford filled the stat sheet against the Blazers on Friday with 17 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three steals, two blocks and one 3-pointer.

He's on fire. In his previous 10 games, Horford averaged 17.9 points, 7.9 boards, 5.1 assists, 1.2 blocks and 0.7 steals on 71.1 percent from the field. He's certainly capable of being a top-10 fantasy asset and his owners should be asking for a lot if they want to sell high.
Jan 30 - 10:06 PM

Kent Bazemore played a season-high 40 minutes against the Blazers on Friday, scoring 12 points with five rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer.

DeMarre Carroll (Achilles) didn't play and Thabo Sefolosha (calf) was hurt in the first quarter. Excluding the two games in which the Hawks rested guys, Bazemore hasn't played more than 26 minutes and he has a ton of DNP-CDs. However, there's a good chance he gets run with Carroll and Thabo out. He's still only worth a look in deep leagues.
Jan 30 - 10:01 PM

LaMarcus Aldridge scored 37 points on 15-of-24 from the field against the Hawks during a 105-99 loss on Friday, adding 11 rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and two 3-pointers.

Umm, what thumb injury? Aldridge was the go-to option and the Hawks couldn't stop him. He's also coming off a 38-point game on Wednesday and it's probably safe to say he's comfortable playing through the torn ligament. Although, there is a ton of risk because an aggravation is possible, so his owners can consider trading him for 90 cents on the dollar.
Jan 30 - 9:55 PM

Michael Carter-Williams posted his third triple-double of the season during a 103-94 win over the Wolves on Friday, making 6-of-13 from the field with 17 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, one steal, one block and five turnovers.

He's shooting the ball a lot better right now, making at least 46 percent from the field in three of his last four, averaging 13.3 points, 7.3 boards, 8.8 assists, 1.0 blocks, 1.3 steals and 1.0 triples. He is starting to come around, but he's going to really hurt his fantasy owners in percentages and turnovers. MCW is still a nice play in DFS and points formats.
Jan 30 - 9:40 PM

Nerlens Noel filled it up against the Wolves on Friday with 14 points, six boards, three assists, four steals and six blocks on 7-of-8 from the field.

Well hello there, Mr. Noel. This was his first game over 50 percent from the field since Jan. 16. Noel also has multiple blocks and multiple steals and each of his last three games. This might be the highest point of his fantasy value all year, but his patient owners are starting to see some nice dividends. He won't be a great foul shooter, so his upside is a little capped.
Jan 30 - 9:33 PM

Jimmy Butler (leg) will play against the Suns on Friday.

There was almost no doubt that Butler would go and he's likely to see big minutes on the second night of a back-to-back set. His owners can have him locked and loaded tonight.
