DeMarcus Cousins (suspension) returned to Kings practice on Monday.

Cousins' indefinite suspension lasted less than a week. He's repeatedly expressed that he was wrong for his most recent incident with Keith Smart, and while we expect an apologetic tone from Boogie, he'll do more for his public perception by showing consistent signs of maturity both on and off the court.

The Kings reportedly plan to interview David Blatt for their vacant head coach position.

The interview will take place on Monday and Blatt is one of many candidates for the Kings job, joining already-interviewed coaches Sam Mitchell, Mike Woodson and Vinny Del Negro. Blatt has also been linked to vacant head coaching jobs with the Knicks and Lakers, so there's a good chance that he'll be pacing the sidelines for an NBA team in 2016-17.

C.J. McCollum shot just 5-of-17 from the field on Sunday to finish a Game 1 defeat with 12 points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and zero turnovers in 40 minutes.

The Warriors' length and ability to switch pick-and-rolls was once again a deciding factor, as it helped to limit McCollum and Damian Lillard to combined 30.2 percent shooting in Game 1. He had a quiet Game 1 vs. the Clippers in the first round, before heating up throughout that series, so ideally he'll make a few adjustments to get himself going for Tuesday's Game 2.
May 1 - 6:34 PM

Draymond Green racked up a triple-double on Sunday with 23 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists, helping Golden State earn a 1-0 series lead over the Blazers.

It was Green's second postseason triple-double and he filled up the boxscore everywhere, adding two 3-pointers, two blocks and one steal with just two turnovers in 37 minutes. He spearheaded a terrific defensive effort, as usual, limiting the Blazers to 40.2 percent shooting in a game that wasn't as close the final score of 118-106.
May 1 - 6:25 PM

Klay Thompson scored a personal playoff-high 37 points during Sunday's Game 1 win vs. the Blazers, making 14-of-28 shots with seven 3-pointers, five boards, five assists and two steals.

Portland had no answer for Thompson defensively and he's now the first player in NBA history with at least seven 3-pointers in three consecutive games. Stephen Curry has a "slim" chance of playing in Game 2, but a Game 3 return is more probable. With Thompson and Draymond Green carrying the Warriors to a blowout win in Game 1, the Warriors can afford to be extra cautious with their ailing MVP.
May 1 - 6:12 PM

Gerald Henderson and Anderson Varejao were both ejected in Game 1 on Sunday for double technicals.

It was a minor confrontation that started after Varejao appeared to trip Henderson. It would be a shock if either player is suspended, so expect to see them both in Game 2 on Tuesday. Henderson finished with five points, three assists, three boards, one block and one 3-pointer in 17 minutes.
May 1 - 5:31 PM

Stephen Curry (knee) said that there is a "pretty good" chance that he will be able to play in Game 3 vs. the Blazers on Saturday.

His chances of playing in Game 2 on Tuesday are reportedly pretty "slim," but it sounds like he's making good progress and coach Steve Kerr said that he might start scrimmaging later this week. There are going to be a ton of updates on the MVP all week, so expect another one on Monday. Shaun Livingston will hold down the fort at point guard until Curry can return.
May 1 - 5:16 PM

Hornets coach Steve Clifford said that Marvin Williams played through an elbow injury during the series against the Heat.

That explains a lot. Williams scored just five points on 1-of-3 shooting in Sunday's Game 7 loss with five rebounds in 33 minutes, and he was averaging just 5.2 points on 27.1 percent shooting in the previous six games. Williams deserves a pass for playing through the injury, but it would've been nice to get a heads up from the Hornets a lot earlier. Regardless, Williams was one of the most improved players in the NBA this season and could get a significant raise when he hits free agency this summer.
May 1 - 3:54 PM

Kemba Walker scored just nine points on 3-of-16 shooting in Sunday's 106-73 loss to the Heat in Game 7, adding six assists, two boards, one steal and one 3-pointer.

His nine points were the second fewest in a Game 7 by a player who averaged 25 points per game in the first six games of a series. As bad as Walker was on Sunday, he had a breakout campaign with averages of 20.9 points, 5.2 assists, 4.4 boards, 1.6 steals and 2.2 3-pointers during the regular season, returning top-20 value in standard 9-cat leagues. The 25-year-old guard will be a solid early-round pick in fantasy drafts next season.
May 1 - 3:47 PM

Goran Dragic scored 25 points on 11-of-17 shooting to lead the Heat to a 106-73 win over the Hornets in Game 7 on Sunday.

The Dragon had a quiet series prior to Sunday with modest averages of 12.3 points, 4.3 boards, 4.3 assists, and 0.8 steals, but he picked the perfect moment to erupt. Dragic was arguably the best player on the court today, adding six rebounds, four assists and one block in 32 minutes. The Heat will now move on to face the winner of Sunday's Game 7 between the Raptors and Pacers.
May 1 - 3:23 PM

Nicolas Batum (foot) started the second half in place of Frank Kaminsky on Sunday vs. the Heat.

Batum was only supposed to play seven or eight minutes in each half according to coach Steve Clifford before the game, but he's already up to 16 minutes at the half. He isn't close to 100 percent and he's not moving that well either, but the Hornets have no choice but to play him if they want to escape Miami with a win.
May 1 - 2:22 PM

Nicolas Batum (foot) and Spencer Hawes (knee) are available to play on Sunday vs. the Heat.

Hornets coach Steve Clifford said that while Batum is feeling better, he's still not 100 percent and will likely be limited to just seven or eight minutes per half in Game 7. To be clear, Batum is too risky to deploy in most fantasy formats. We'll let you know how he holds up after the game.
