Richard Jefferson will start in place of Chandler Parsons (illness) on Friday against the Heat.

It'll be Jefferson against Danny Granger at small forward tonight, which isn't exactly Damian Lillard vs. Jeff Teague at point guard. Jefferson was actually very good in the last game without Parsons, scoring 13 points with 13 boards. If you need a player in a pinch tonight. Give him a look.
Jan 30 - 7:58 PM

Thabo Sefolosha (right calf strain) will not return against the Blazers on Friday.

The Hawks ruled him out quickly, so that's usually a sign that he's going to miss time. Kent Bazemore is the next man up with DeMarre Carroll (Achilles) also out on Friday. If you're in a deep league, give Bazemore a look.
Jan 30 - 7:53 PM

Shabazz Napier will slide into the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Mavs with Dwyane Wade (hamstring) sidelined.

Through two starts this season Napier is averaging 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.0 three-pointer, and 1.5 steals per game. Napier is someone to consider in deeper leagues, but standard league owners can use a wait-and-see approach with the rookie.
Jan 30 - 7:50 PM

Norris Cole will not start against the Mavs on Friday.

He was expected to start, but the Heat will go with their rookie. The first thing that comes to mind here are the trade rumors, so it's possible Cole doesn't play at all. Although, there is no word of a deal yet. Cole is not worth owning in most leagues.
Jan 30 - 7:49 PM

LeBron James (wrist) will play against the Kings on Friday.

Well, most DFS owners can change their plans now. James usually doesn't play limited minutes, so his fantasy owners can plug him back in. If you were expecting Kyrie Irving to have another 55-point game, it's a little less likely now. J.R. Smith also takes a hit here.
Jan 30 - 6:47 PM

Mike Conley (wrist) is probable to play against the Thunder on Saturday.

It's nice to see the Grizzlies will get their star point guard back, but they didn't miss him in their last two games. Conley should have his hands full in what should be a great game on Saturday night. If you added Beno Udrih, you can let him loose.
Jan 30 - 6:44 PM

J.J. Redick (back) will return to the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Pelicans, sending Jamal Crawford back to the bench.

Redick will draw a very favorable matchup tonight against the Pelicans, so make sure he's on your active roster. His return will cause Crawford's value to take a minor hit, but both players should have no trouble being productive tonight.
Jan 30 - 6:44 PM

Vince Carter's MRI revealed a "left foot tendon injury" and he will be re-evaluated next week.

It looks like Carter dodged a bullet here, as there was some fear that he had sustained a fracture to his foot. It's unclear at this point exactly how long Carter will be sidelined, but Tony Allen will likely soak up most of Carter's reserve minutes.
Jan 30 - 6:41 PM

Chandler Parsons (illness) will not play against the Heat on Friday.

It sounds like he's just sick, so he could be back for Saturday against the Magic. While Parsons is out, Richard Jefferson will likely take over most of the minutes. In fact, in R-Jeff's last game without Parsons, he had 13 points, 13 boards and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes -- that was with Jae Crowder too. Give him a look in DFS. Al-Farouq Aminu will also get more run and could build off his six-block game.
Jan 30 - 6:36 PM

Anthony Davis (adductor) will not play against the Clippers on Friday night.

The good news is that he's not dealing with a serious injury, but the Pelicans usually are cautious when it comes to playing their superstar at less than 100 percent. With Davis out, Ryan Anderson will start while Dante Cunningham and Alexis Ajinca should play a little more. Plus, expect to see more of Eric Gordon in the offense. Davis' fantasy owners can consider him as questionable for Monday against the Hawks.
Jan 30 - 6:26 PM

Rockets' head coach Kevin McHale said he doesn't expect to have Dwight Howard (knee, ankle) back in uniform "for a while."

Things aren't looking good for Dwight. An MRI revealed fluid buildup in his right knee on Wednesday, and there was a report that he was seeking a second opinion and he could miss "extended time" on Thursday. McHale's words go along with the extended absence theme, and it'll be Donatas Motiejunas, Josh Smith, and Terrence Jones seeing a majority of the big man minutes with Howard sidelined.
