Kyle Lowry will come off the bench when he returns from his triceps injury and Jose Calderon will remain the starter.

Calderon has put his stamp on the Raptors since Lowry went down, and Dwane Casey previously hinted that Calderon would keep his starting job. Both guards should still see plenty of playing time, and while they could offset one another's production at times, both guards are worth owning.

Coach Quin Snyder said he's not sure if Derrick Favors (back) will play on Monday night against the Wolves and he will be a game-time decision.

It's worth mentioning that Favors tried to play on Saturday night and did receive treatment before the game, but he did not play. The Jazz are likely going to plan on Favors playing, but he is still extremely questionable. If he's out, Trevor Booker will benefit most while Rudy Gobert should contribute more on offense. Booker only had 12 points and three boards on Saturday, but he should be better tonight.

Updating a previous item, Hassan Whiteside (hand) has been cleared to play and is expected to return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Spurs.

Considering we just posted 25 minutes ago that Whiteside wouldn't be rushed to return, it's quite the development for fantasy owners and for Miami's playoff chances. Owners, especially in weekly formats, have to be certain Whiteside is in the lineup even though he'll be playing at less than 100 percent. The upside is just too great. "It felt weird, but I'm gonna do the best I can," Whiteside said of playing with his hand taped and padded up.
Mar 30 - 2:14 PM

DeMarcus Cousins (rest) will not play against the Grizzlies on Monday night.

He's going to sit on a road game and it's not even in a back-to-back set, so that's a really bad sign regarding his playing time in the final two weeks. Looking at the schedule, the Kings have a road game on Wednesday and two more homes games after that. In other words, he's probably a good bet for at least two games and could play in three. The Kings also have a road game in a back-to-back set on Sunday Apr. 12. With DMC out, Jason Thompson will likely benefit most while the usual four starters should have more offensive responsibility. Perhaps we see more Sauce Castillo.
Mar 30 - 2:13 PM

Ricky Rubio (ankle) is doubtful to play against the Jazz on Monday.

There was some optimism on Rubio on Sunday, but the Wolves have changed their tune today. With Rubio likely out, Zach LaVine will start at point guard with Lorenzo Brown likely joining him in the backcourt. LaVine is worth owning in all leagues, Brown is worth a flier in deep leagues and Rubio can be cut in most formats.
Mar 30 - 2:06 PM

Gorgui Dieng (concussion-like symptoms) will not play on Monday against the Jazz.

The Wolves are razor thin with their depth and it sounds like Sunday's injury will cost him multiple games. Dieng's fantasy owners are in a really bad spot with only two more games this week (Wednesday and Friday), so it's very tough to play him in a weekly league. Justin Hamilton would likely start and is worth owning in standard leagues.
Mar 30 - 2:01 PM

Rodney Stuckey (wrist) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Nets.

Stuckey logged 30 minutes in Sunday's win over the Mavs while coming off a calf injury, but apparently he managed to add another injury in the process. If he's forced to sit out, C.J. Miles and C.J. Watson would both be the most direct beneficiaries.
Mar 30 - 1:57 PM

Derrick Rose (knee surgery) took full contact in practice on Monday.

It's a great sign for Rose and his eventual return this season. He took part in a full contact 4-on-4 scrimmage, and Tom Thibodeau said Rose looked winded afterward, but otherwise reported no ill effects. Rose previously said it would take him a week or two to get back into game action after being cleared for contact, so owners looking to stash him will want to think long and hard about all the DNPs he still has left to rack up. The Bulls play just three times in each of the next two weeks. Aaron Brooks owners: Take notice.
Mar 30 - 1:39 PM

Updating a previous item, Patrick Beverley has decided to have wrist surgery, and the procedure will end his season, a source told the Houston Chronicle.

It's a devastating blow to the Rockets as the team is paper-thin at point guard behind him. Rookie Nick Johnson and veterans Jason Terry and Pablo Prigioni will look to fill the void, but none are real options for owners who have lost Beverley. MVP candidate James Harden will have even more to do as the Rockets close out the season in preparation for the playoffs.
Mar 30 - 1:34 PM

Ryan Anderson (knee) is expected to return on the Pelicans upcoming road trip.

The Pelicans play in three straight road games on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, but it's not clear which game the big man is tentatively targeting to make his return. Regardless, his return will only help the Pelicans in their playoff push, but he's not a must-add player at this point. His return should mean less small ball for New Orleans as well as a role reduction for Dante Cunningham.
Mar 30 - 1:32 PM

Kyle Lowry (back) will not play on Monday against the Rockets.

Lowry has already said that he won't rush his return, but it's not clear when he will be back on the floor. Greivis Vasquez is averaging 11.1 points, 4.3 assists and 1.7 triples on 44.6 percent shooting over 23 games as the starting point guard, and both Lou Williams and DeMar DeRozan will have more responsibilities while Lowry is sidelined, as well.
Mar 30 - 12:44 PM

Jeff Teague (ankle) and the remainder of the Hawks starters are expected to play on Monday against the Bucks.

However, "more rest" is expected on Tuesday, and that should have been obvious considering the Hawks have clinched the No. 1 seed and are on a back-to-back set. After Tuesday's road game against the Pistons, the Hawks are off until Saturday, so those relying on Atlanta for fantasy contributions while fighting for their lives may want to look elsewhere.
