Updating a previous item, Anderson Varejao has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Hawks, and he will not play at all this weekend.

Varejao's availability was supposed to be determined at shootaround, but it's clear his knee contusion is a little more serious than the team had initially let on. Varejao will not play on Saturday against the Nets either, meaning the earliest he could return is January 2 against the Kings. Tyler Zeller will continue to start and is averaging 12.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 1.0 blocks on 40.4 percent shooting as a member of the starting lineup. Tristan Thompson, who has played well in Varejao's absence, also gets a boost.

Marco Belinelli will remain in the Kings' starting lineup for at least their next five games, according to coach George Karl.

The Kings have five more games until the All-Star break, all on the road, and Karl will re-evaluate his lineups before their first post-break game on Feb. 19. This is great news for anyone rolling with Belinelli in their lineups, as he's averaging more points, 3-pointers, rebounds, assists and steals as a starter.
Feb 5 - 6:13 PM

Austin Rivers (hand) will not play against the Magic on Friday.

He bruised his hand before he was ejected on Friday. Expect to see more Pablo Prigioni and Jamal Crawford tonight in the road game. Crawford should have a chance to score a lot and is worth a look in DFS tonight.
Feb 5 - 6:13 PM

Matt Barnes (hamstring) will play against the Knicks on Friday.

"We should be fully loaded," coach Dave Joerger said. Yes, this means he gets his first game at MSG since the Derek Fisher drama. Barnes is still a hold in standard leagues, but he's lost some value with Jeff Green tearing it up.
Feb 5 - 6:09 PM

Jae Crowder (ankle) is still on track to play against the Cavs on Friday.

He is dealing with swelling and missed shootaround, so he might not be at 100 percent against LeBron James. Crowder is fine to start in season-long leagues, but he's a very risky play in DFS tonight. He's been a fantasy steal.
Feb 5 - 6:05 PM

Langston Galloway will start in place of Carmelo Anthony (knee) on Friday against the Grizzlies.

He is coming in on fire with a 17-point gem on Thursday with some solid play in the past week. Galloway has logged most of his minutes at point guard, but he does have some nice run at shooting guard this year. Considering how well he's played, he is a nice option tonight and is worth a grab in standard leagues who he's hot.
Feb 5 - 5:54 PM

Lance Thomas (mild concussion) will not play until at least Tuesday as he undergoes testing, which means he'll miss games on Friday or Sunday.

With Carmelo Anthony (knee) also on the sidelines, the Knicks are going small with Langston Galloway in the starting lineup on Friday. Derrick Williams should also play big minutes off the bench, however, and he's worth a long look as a cheap DFS play until Melo and/or Thomas return to action.
Feb 5 - 5:52 PM

Carmelo Anthony (left knee) will not play against the Grizzlies on Friday night.

This is his surgically repaired knee that also kept him out for two games last month. An MRI ruled out any structural damage, but this isn't the usual DNP-REST with the news of needing an MRI. Coach Derek Fisher said there is no thought of shutting him down, but Melo could miss more games. Langston Galloway and Derrick Williams are the beneficiaries here while Arron Afflalo and Kristaps Porzingis also get more shots.
Feb 5 - 5:51 PM

Jahlil Okafor will start next to Nerlens Noel on Friday against the 76ers.

He'll join Ish Smith, Nik Stauskas and Robert Covington in the first unit. The Marcin Gortat vs. Okafor storyline also gets a fun little boost tonight. The 76ers not having Richaun Holmes (ankle) should mean more run for Okafor, too.
Feb 5 - 5:49 PM

Terrence Jones (concussion) will not play against the Blazers on Saturday.

He suffered the concussion in the car accident on Wednesday. Jones will have to go through the protocol and could miss games through the break. That means more run for Josh Smith while Trevor Ariza continues to thrive at power forward.
Feb 5 - 5:42 PM

Goran Dragic (illness) will start vs. the Hornets on Friday.

He missed shootaround but was already expected to play, so this merely confirms that he's ready to go. The Dragon has been up and down this season, but he's still worth deploying in standard leagues in a relatively favorable matchup vs. Charlotte.
Feb 5 - 5:38 PM

Kemba Walker (knee) will start without any limitations vs. the Heat on Friday.

Walker's return sends Jeremy Lin to the bench, where Lin is averaging 10 fewer minutes with lower stats across the board. Kemba's owners can breathe a sigh of relief while activating him in all lineups.
