Carmelo Anthony (knee) will not play again on Friday vs. the Kings.

It will be Melo's second straight on the sidelines. There's no structural damage in the knee, but the move gives Melo until January 1 to rest his knee, something that likely factored into the decision to sit him again on Friday. Expect Jason Kidd and J.R. Smith to play big roles on offense once again, with James White, Chris Copeland and Steve Novak all seeing a boost.

Rudy Gay is reportedly among the "loudest voices" urging Rajon Rondo to come to Sacramento.

There's reportedly mutual interest between Rondo and the Kings, but wherever he lands, he's reportedly only going to sign a one-year deal in an attempt to reestablish his value after a rocky season in Dallas. Having Rondo and DeMarcus Cousins on the same team could make for some interesting headlines, but with the way things have been going in Sacramento, why not add Rondo to the mix?

Mo Williams reportedly anticipates a meeting with the Cavs, and the team is "very interested" in bringing him back to Cleveland.

Williams will be an unrestricted free agent, and with the Cavs said to be looking for a scoring point guard to come off the bench behind Kyrie Irving, Williams fits the bill. It'll be interesting to see where he lands as a free agent, but his value wouldn't be great in Cleveland.

DeAndre Jordan is reportedly deciding between the Mavericks and the Clippers as an unrestricted free agent.

Jordan is reportedly looking for a four-year deal with a player option for the final season of the contract, which essentially nullifies the Clippers advantage in retaining him from a numbers perspective. Jordan would reportedly like to be more involved in the offense, and is sick of being the third wheel in Los Angeles behind Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. He has meetings scheduled with the Knicks, Lakers, Mavs, and Clippers, but the Mavs are currently believed to be the frontrunners for Jordan.

The Spurs are reportedly interested in trading for Brendan Haywood.

To be clear, the Spurs are likely interested in Haywood's non-guaranteed deal worth $10.5 million, and not Haywood himself. Haywood's contract does not become fully guaranteed until August 2, so if the Spurs waive him, they could open up quiet a bit of cap room for a big name free agent such as LaMarcus Aldridge. The Cavs are said to be looking for a scoring point guard to come off the bench behind Kyrie Irving, so perhaps they’re eying Patty Mills in this potential deal. Tiago Splitter or Boris Diaw would also need to be included to make the numbers work.

The Thunder will reportedly meet with Enes Kanter in Chicago on July 1, and are set to offer him a 3-4 year deal that could reach maximum-level money with incentives.

OKC is very high on Kanter, and they've said all along that they will make re-signing him as a restricted free agent a priority this offseason. Kanter had a nice run with the Thunder during the 2014-15 season, putting in averages of 18.7 points and 11.0 rebounds per game on 56.6 percent shooting from the field. The Mavs will reportedly pursue Kanter, but most signs point to him returning to OKC next season.

Unrestricted free agent Dwyane Wade and owner Micky Arison have met to discuss a way forward.

The Heat want Wade back, but Wade is looking for a big multiple-year deal. According to Chris Broussard, league executives are saying there "is not a robust market" for Wade. Unless some contending team offers what Wade wants, he's likely to stay with the Heat for being such an icon in the city.

The Sacramento Kings are probing Kentucky head coach John Calipari's interest in running the front office and coaching the team, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

Coach Cal has reportedly been communicating with Kings owner Vivek Ranadive over the past few weeks and has listened to scenarios that would give him complete control over basketball operations in addition to the head coaching position. A hire of Calipari would seem to spell the end of vice president of basketball operations Vlade Divac and head coach George Karl in Sacramento as one league insider said Ranadive is "trying to find a magic button to push that'll fix everything."

Jimmy Butler is likely to return to the Bulls after postponing meetings with teams interested in signing him, according to Chris Broussard of ESPN.

Butler had meetings scheduled with the Celtics, 76ers, Lakers, and Mavericks, but has apparently postponed those meetings after reportedly receiving a max offer from the Bulls. We'll have to wait and see how this plays out, but Broussard is reporting that Butler is now just deciding how many years he wants to re-sign with Chicago for.

The Cavaliers reportedly have strong interest in signing unrestricted free agent Mike Dunleavy.

While Dunleavy is expected to re-sign with Chicago, LeBron James is reportedly a fan of Dunleavy and the Cavs are expected to make a push for the swing man. The 34-year-old isn't much of a fantasy asset after averaging 9.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.7 three-pointers in 63 games during the 2014-15 regular season, but he could be worth a late-round flier in standard leagues if he lands a role as a starter with the Cavs.

Marc Gasol will reportedly only meet with the Grizzlies when free agency begins on July 1.

Gasol is set to host a contingent of Grizzlies officials when free agency begins and has declined to schedule any meetings with rival teams who are interested in him. We'll keep an eye on the situation, but it sounds like Grizzlies fans can exhale as a verbal agreement will presumably follow Wednesday's meeting in Spain.

Dwyane Wade is unlikely to leave the Miami Heat, according to multiple sources.

Wade is set to become a free agent after he declined to pick up his player option for the 2015-16 season, but various sources have indicated that Wade is likely to re-sign with the Heat unless he receives the perfect offer from another team. We'll keep an eye on Wade's destination as the free agency process unfolds, but it sounds like Heat fans shouldn't start burning their D-Wade jerseys just yet.
