Isaiah Thomas will start on Friday against the Knicks according to Rotoworld's Aaron Bruski.

The real question is whether or not the Kings will give him the keys to the car, but he's worth a speculative add without a doubt and if we could trust Keith Smart, he'd be a must-add player. We know what he's capable of and the only real question is whether or not he'll get the opportunity, and it's up to owners to determine whether or not they can take that risk. Marcus Thornton will start next to him tonight.

Blake Griffin (sore right knee) will be a game-time decision to face the Pelicans on Saturday.

If there is good news, this isn't the same leg that gave him problems last year. On the other hand, Griffin had a swelling issue with his right knee late last month. That Saturday game is the only game for the Clippers between Wednesday and Monday, so it makes sense to just rest him. If he is out, Paul Pierce, Mo Speights, Brandon Bass and the wings would get a few extra minutes. DeAndre Jordan also exploded for a 21-23 line in the last game Blake missed.
Dec 9 - 2:53 PM

Derrick Rose (sore lower back) will not play Friday vs. the Kings.

This will be the second game Rose has missed due to the back injury he suffered Monday. The good news is that Rose is traveling with the Knicks on their current road trip, which would seemingly indicate he is close to returning to action. Brandon Jennings will get the start at point guard. He makes for a solid DFS play Friday in Sacramento. Jennings had 16 points, four rebounds and three assists in 30 minutes in a starting role on Wednesday. He'll likely play more minutes on Friday, assuming the game isn't a blowout, as NY has very little depth behind Jennings at point guard.
Dec 9 - 1:42 PM

Paul Millsap (hip) will play Friday vs. the Bucks.

Millsap has played in two straight games and looked good doing so, averaging 22.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 1.5 blocks. Millsap admitted earlier this week that he is currently playing through pain, but should obviously still be locked into starting lineups.
Dec 9 - 1:04 PM

Derrick Rose (sore lower back) is being listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Kings.

Rose tweaked his back in the fourth quarter of Tuesday's game in Orlando. He sat out Wednesday's contest vs. the Cavs. Rose is traveling with the team, so it's a good sign that he is close to returning to the lineup. The team may until they see how his back responds to pre-game warmups. Check back for an update. If Rose does not play, Brandon Jennings will start and would be an intriguing DFS option on Friday.

Rodney McGruder (ankle) is expected to play Friday vs. the Cavs.

McGruder twisted his ankle on Wednesday and was listed as questionable for Friday. However, McGruder vowed he would be ready for Friday. The Heat need him, as they are down to just nine healthy bodies. He has played a ton of minutes since being inserted into the starting lineup once the injuries hit the Heat. Over Miami's last eight games, McGruder is averaging 8.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 triples in 33.7 minutes per game
Dec 9 - 11:56 AM

Josh Richardson (ankle) will not play Friday vs. the Cavs, but "might" play Saturday in Chicago.

Richardson re-joined the team on Friday in the middle of their road trip, so there was some hope he would suit up in Cleveland. However, Coach Spo told reporters that Richardson won't return to the lineup for Friday's contest. Nonetheless, the fact that Richardson flew out to join the team is obviously a positive sign. Per the team, he will be re-evaluated in hopes that he can play some minutes on Saturday
Dec 9 - 11:49 AM

Channing Frye has been excused from the team for personal reasons and will miss Friday's game vs. the Heat and Saturday's game vs. the Hornets.

Frye has had to endure an extremely difficult couple of months, as he lost both his mother and father. Kevin Love (back spasms) was surprisingly listed as listed as questionable for Friday night. If Love can't play, the Cavs will be extremely shorthanded at power forward. As a result, Tristan Thompson would likely play more minutes than usual. Richard Jefferson, Mike Dunleavy and possibly Chris Anderson could all see extended action as well.
Dec 9 - 11:09 AM

J.R. Smith (knee) is questionable for Friday's game vs. Miami.

Smith missed Wednesday's matchup with the Knicks after hyperextending his left knee on Monday. DeAndre Liggins made his first career start in place of Smith vs. the Knicks and played 20 minutes. Iman Shumpert came off the bench and played 24 minutes. It is safe to assume a similar distribution of minutes on Friday if Smith doesn't suit up.
Dec 9 - 10:57 AM

Numerous outlets are reporting that the Rockets and Donatas Motiejunas' have agreed to a new deal.

It appears the drama is finally over. Motiejunas' deal with the Rockets is worth $31 million if hits no bonuses, $35 million if hits all likely bonuses and $37 million if hits every possible bonus. Although he has an intriguing upside, Motiejunas will only likely see limited minutes off the bench in Houston, especially initially as he works his way back into game shape.
Dec 9 - 10:22 AM

D'Angelo Russell (knee) participated in the non-contact portions of Thursday’s practice and said he "feels great."

Russell will not play Friday vs. the Suns, but is making progress. "I mean, I feel good," Russell said on Thursday. "I waited so long to get back on the court until I was 100%. I feel great. Just about, I don’t know, knocking the dust off before I get in the game, so try to get it out now, knock the rust off while I’m out here now." Russell had a platelet-rich plasma injection on Nov. 23 to help the soreness in his left knee. The Lakers said he would be sidelined for at least two weeks. He did off-court rehab work until Tuesday, when a doctor examined him and agreed he was ready for on-court work.
Dec 9 - 9:38 AM

Marc Gasol (groin) scored a season-high 36 points during an 88-86 win over the Blazers on Thursday, adding nine rebounds, two assists and four 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

What right groin injury? He popped up on the injury report today, but looked totally fine. The Grizzlies are on a five-game winning streak and Gasol is the heavy favorite for Western Conference Player of the Week. In his three wins so far, Gasol has averaged 30.0 points, 10.7 boards, 5.0 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.3 blocks and 2.3 treys on 50 percent from the field. Big Spain has been a top-five player for standard leagues over his last 10 and is making a great case for the All-Star team.
