Amare Stoudemire (knee) practiced on Sunday but he was non-committal about his status for Tuesday's game.

He still feels soreness when he makes certain moves, saying, "We're still not where I want to be as of right now. [I want to be] at least 100 percent or at least 80 percent, just to the point where I can feel comfortable on the basketball court with no restrictions, no limitations." He said he's willing to "sacrifice [his] body" if the team needs him to play, but it's unlikely the Knicks would ask him to play if he's not comfortable. We will have an update on Monday.

Mo Williams (illness) is questionable for Friday's game vs. the Lakers.

If Williams is unable to go, Zach LaVine would draw the start in a favorable matchup vs. the Lakers, and would make for a decent option in daily leagues. Stay tuned.
Nov 28 - 11:28 AM

Carmelo Anthony (back spasms) remains doubtful for Friday's game vs. OKC.

Carmelo showed up at the Knicks' shootaround to get treatment on his ailing back, but according to beat reporter Al Iannazzone, he is looking much better health-wise. Owners will want to check back for an official update on Melo's status closer to tip-off, but it's looking like he'll be a no-go. If he sits out, J.R. Smith will be free to jack up as many shots as he sees fit. Stay tuned.
Nov 28 - 11:02 AM

Steve Kerr praised Stephen Curry's play on the defensive end during a recent interview.

"I've seen really good defense," Kerr said of Curry. "That's the thing that's impressed me the most is Steph's commitment on that end. Offensively, I already knew what he could do just watching the highlights the last couple of years. I think he's become a really well-rounded All-Star. He was already an All-Star, but now I think he's an All-Star at both ends of the floor." The Dubs currently rank third in defensive efficiency vs. the point guard position, and Curry is hitting career-highs in points (24.2), 3-pointers (3.5), steals (2.1), and field goal percentage (49.8). He's currently the second-best player in fantasy hoops, and has joined the conversation as a potential MVP-candidate.
Nov 28 - 10:18 AM

DeMarcus Cousins (leg) did not appear on the Kings' injury report for Friday's game against the Spurs.

The Kings have thrown players with very minor injuries on the injury report as "probable" and it looks like Cousins dodged a bullet here. He suffered what could have been a contusion on Wednesday, but he did play through it and there look to be no negative effects since. He's arguably the best fantasy big man this side of Anthony Davis.
Nov 27 - 9:16 PM

Rudy Gay (Achilles) and Darren Collison (quad) are questionable to face the Spurs on Friday.

We should get more information at shootaround tomorrow, but there was optimism on both guys. Achilles tendinitis tends to linger and hopefully Gay sitting out was more of a precaution than anything else -- he had this problem last year, too. If he is out, Omri Casspi will be an option in some leagues, but a date with Kawhi Leonard probably makes him less attractive in daily.
Nov 27 - 9:12 PM

Joakim Noah (eye, left knee) is being listed as probable for Friday's game vs. the Celtics.

Noah was able to go through a full practice on Thursday without any setbacks, and the Bulls listing him as probable is an encouraging sign. Still, owners will want to check back for an official update closer to Friday's tip. If Noah is a go, Cameron Bairstow who was a surprise start on Tuesday would head back to the bench.
Nov 27 - 7:05 PM

Derrick Rose (hamstring tightness) is being listed as probable for Friday's game vs. Boston.

Rose has said that he was targeting Friday, so things are looking positive towards him giving it a go. If Rose does indeed play, Kirk Hinrich and Aaron Brooks won't be worth using in daily leagues. Stay tuned.
Nov 27 - 7:00 PM

Taj Gibson (ankle) will not play Friday vs. the Celtics.

With Gibson out, Nikola Mirotic could see some extended minutes off the bench. However, Mirotic was only able to muster 20.8 minutes of action during his last outing with both Gibson and Joakim Noah (eye, left knee) sidelined, so there's no certainty that he will see major minutes.
Nov 27 - 6:50 PM

Jameer Nelson (back spasms) is being listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Raptors.

Owners will want to check back for an official update closer to Friday's tip, but if Jameer is unable to go, J.J. Barea, Devin Harris, and potentially Raymond Felton (ankle) will all see some extended minutes. Barea and Harris offer the most upside, and would make for decent plug-and-play options in daily leagues, stay tuned.
Nov 27 - 6:39 PM

Pelicans' head coach Monty Williams wants Anthony Davis to be taking at least 20 shots a game.

"Anthony cannot be in a game and not touch the ball," said Williams. "We have to have an effort to get him at least 20 shots every night." Monty's comments came a day after Davis shot 4-of-12 from the field during a 99-89 loss to the Kings. Davis also only attempted one shot during the entire fourth quarter of that one, which is simply not acceptable. Williams' desire to force feed Davis the rock has to be music to fantasy owners' ears, and it can only improve his already gaudy averages of 25.4 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.4 blocks, and 2.1 steals per game. He's an early MVP candidate, and the best player in fantasy basketball right now, enjoy.
Nov 27 - 2:44 PM

Carmelo Anthony (back spasms) said he hopes to return soon, but won't play with back spasms.

Anthony said he could barely walk before sitting out Wednesday's game against the Mavericks and later said that he was still sore and stiff. "I don’t think it will be too long,’’ Anthony said. "I think the spasms will go away. But I’m not going to play with spasms." Melo will travel with the Knicks to Oklahoma for Friday's game against the Thunder, but his owners may want to plan on being without him for at least another game. If Anthony is unable to suit up Friday, Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith would be the biggest fantasy beneficiaries.
